DX5 playing Alphaville "Dance With Me" (edit cover)

- Опубликовано: 28 сен 2024
- This is the first take, first time I played it on its entirely after practising section by section only, hence some variations can be found. Gear used:
Left: Kurzweil PC1x
Right: Roland JX8P, Emu Emax
Backtrack previously recorded by me on Pro Tools. All sounds were synthesized and sampled from my own synths, including a Yamaha DX7 II FD for the bell sound (which seems they used for the original track) and a Simmons SDS8 for extra drums.
Original song composed by Marian Gold, Bernhard Lloyd, Ricky Echolette.
Performed here by DX5 Jose Maria Bara.
Absolutely brilliant! This is exactly the kind of music synths were designed for!
Very good cover and fantastic classic 80s song. Alphaville was my first album.
Thanks RetroSound. They influenced me into synths in a huge way since I've heard "Big in Japan" on the radio in 1984
I LOVE YOU MAN!! I was one of the fans who asked you this song many, many many years ago. Thanks!!! Loved the details
Congratulations!
Ouuuuu remember my childhood , thanks x 3
Amazing.
Congrats from Brasil
That's really good) Thanks for the Music! 💙💛
That was a fun one..thanks
You are welcome, Tim
Excellent cover! Thanks for this!
Thanks for watching, AngusArt.
Omg I just found this treasure, 😍 greets from Brazil, I love your videos
Genial Jose, suena fenomenal. Un abrazo desde Valdemoro.
The Master ❤️🎹
Excellent 👏 👏
Reminds me so much of my 14-15 y.o. ... strange feeling that this song hits me in the guts each time. Very emotional for me. But, if I prefer a less accelerated version than this one, as the original version. No harm intended, you did a brilliant cover anyway.
Thanks, Gretschgirl, but If I recall correct, tempo matches the original, which has some variations in time. Mine is even a bit slower than it. I will check this more in depth later, though.
The 80s were cool, the More-Than-Four-Chords Era.
That is :)
Muy bueno, como siempre. ¿Para cuando el próximo directo?
Saludos!
Espero pronto. Gracias MoonKnight
Summer in berlin Alphaville

Amo Alphaville!!
Excelente versão, parabéns!
Obrigado Luana. Confira as outras versões que fiz dos Alphaville. :)
Although I've never heard the original, it sounds very cool 🔥👍💪🤟🤝
It's a brilliant song.
Never heard the original before either. I discovered a lot of DM songs and some from other artists on this channel.
It is an excellent Alphaville song.
Absolutely nailed it Jose! 👍
So far today I've enjoyed a new Toyah video of "We Are", discovered a recent entirely original track by Midge Ure & Band Electronica, and now this. Doesn't get much better. 😀
Thanks Munty!
Super myzik
Grandissimo
Grazie.
@@DX5 meritato fanne altre degli AV

Sí. Muchas gracias igualmente, @@arturovoces7875
Por favor un cover de bel canto del álbum passage of birds
👍👍👍
This is my all time favorite Alphaville song! Great job.
Cool...I am currently working on the same song for a week now. Nice work!
como siempre brillando !! saludos capo !
Gracias Spirit.
I only discovered this track early last year on a 1980s retrospective internet radio show called Retro Reflect.
That persuaded me to request the extended 8-minute mix several times on a UK radio show called The Eighties Time Machine.
It was broadcast live only four weeks ago, and everyone listening really loved it.
Great to hear DX5 lending your own version now too.
The 8 min extended mix is great for realizing some sound design details. I started from that one :)
Where do you get those multi keyboard racks?
I bought them from a spanish company that is no longer in the business as far as I know. But this kind of scissor stands are very common,
Buenísimo, como siempre 🖤
Gracias Barbarella
Si es que con todos esos synths ochenteros que tienes puedes tocar todos los temas de Alphaville. Gracias monstruo por el temazo. Espero que algún dia subas Afternoons in Utopia!!
@@DX5 , Alphaville used two DX7 for this song. Also the întro was made with yamaha dx7. (Not J8 or OB 8 )
@@stoiandaniel0 They indeed used one at least, for the bell sequence in the background (noticeable in the extended version). The lead sound is not a DX7 at all. How do you state they didn't use the JP8 they already got in their gearlist since "Forever Young" period?.
great Track super Synty. Version
Ma es tro!!
Gracias Paco. Maestros ellos!
Super super!JX8P❤️
I prefer your version more than the original one. Schön gemacht.
That is too much praise, Peter :) . The original is hardly beatable.
@@DX5 ok, i like your instrumental version more than the original one and thank you for the lessions you bring to us. ;-)
Brutal!!! Me encanta que hayas metido las repeticiones del rift final que mejoran la canción
Gracias. La versión single acaba en Fade out, que me sigue pareciendo un recurso horrible. No hay nada como acabar en compás :)
Show!!
👏👏👏
Perfeito !!!!
Love it, good job, I love this song. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks, Mightycat.
Verdadeiro dom.
Obrigado Samuel
