    I love Jinjer. Old stuff, new stuff. I love it all the same. Yes there are songs I like more than others.but with the exception of only three or four songs I love everything I hear from them. Unlike a few commenters I don't hear them trying to do anything just to do it. To me that's just Jinjer that's who they are. IMHO Jinjer is on top of the mountain. They aren't trying to fit into any kind of mold. I could give so many reasons why to me they're the best band in metal. But I hate rambling LOL. I do appreciate your opinions. We are who we are, and we like what we like. Not a damn thing wrong with that. BTW love the shirt. I just want to say before I go Hello From The Gutter.

      @@BaldHeadedMETAL Brother that shit brings back some good memories. I miss my youth. I haven't listened to some of these songs in years. I've been listening to metal for almost 40 years. But I love all kinds of music. You mentioned in another comment about Tatiana's poppy cleans, her growls, and how she dresses. I think it fits her perfectly.she always talks about how much of an influence people like Amy winehouse and Gwen Stefani are to her. And you can hear that so well in her clean vocals.Mixing that with her growls just feels right when I hear her sing. If you want to hear something way out there from them musically and vocally, check out home Back. It's one of my favorite songs of theirs It will probably be one of the ones you don't like, but it doesn't hurt to try lol. Either way keep on rocking and coming with those great reactions.

    Cloud factory album is more death metal/hardcore influences. You will probably like that one the best as "outlander" and "who is going to be the one" and "cloud factory" tracks on it - might as well start with their first really put together album.
    "King of everything" album follows and they started getting more diverse and experimental. Also a great album, but its different. That's where you get the track Pisces from, and "I speak Astronomy".

Have you heard outlander yet same album first song on the album. I absolutely love Jinjer old and new I probably listen to cloud factory the album at least every other day. The cream always rises to the top . This band is special next level stuff enjoyed your reaction to my favorite song. Peace from Stan the Alaskan.

      If you listen carefully, they're still doing it today. However, if they had continued in this path they would be just another Metalcore band, no different from those that followed the "formula", and they certainly wouldn't be as famous as they are now. They certainly wouldn't be one of my 3 favourite bands, that's for sure.

      @@BaldHeadedMETAL - Straightforward or intricate, what grabs me about their songs is that they sound like Jinjer and not like a 100 other Metal bands. I'm not picky, I like pretty much everything from Cloud Factory as much as I like pretty much everything from King of Everything or pretty much everything from Micro or pretty much everything from Macro. See what I did there? Unlike some people who say Jinjer doesn't have a "bad" song, there are some songs in each of their releases that I've only listened to a few times and never listened to again. Also, many people criticise their new material for the lack of hooks (to me, hooks belong in Pop Music, not in this type of Metal) but the fact that all the clean verses from Vortex, a song without a single chorus, keep "playing" in my head over and over almost a month after I heard it for the 1st time, tells me that they found a way to make their songs memorable without resorting to the traditional formulas.

    Love the shirt. If you haven't already, try the video for 'Outlander' by Jinjer. You'll see a different line up than the one you are probably used to. The song is chunky and bluesy and I think you might like it.

  • @glebivanov6323
    @glebivanov6323 3 года назад +3

    It's known that although Tatiana's first growling inspiration was Otep but when she trained her harsh vocal her reference point was Randy Blythe.
    As I can see even though you started to listen more older Jinjer stuff you still didn't try an older Jinjer performance (except Outlander but that wasn't the best video to check the performance). It's easy to distinguish - Tati with dreadlocks, two guitarists and the drummer is not bald+bearded.
    This song "Cloud Factory" is older but the performance is not so old as you can see.
    That old days Tati was much more tomboyish, probably closer to your expectation of how metal female performer should act like. It seems she was a tomboy the whole her previous life and many years on stage (with Jinjer and before it).
    But what should we reckon with is that once Tati said to herself and to everybody - fuck it, I'm not a tomboy anymore. She grew up. As they say "We are not here to meet your expectations". Every person has his own way.
    It's not possible to stay at the same state eternaly. Well, many of the rock/metal musicians are trying and some of them (like Angus Young or Brian May) are almost succeed. But is it the best way for musician? I doubt it.

    • @BaldHeadedMETAL
      @BaldHeadedMETAL  3 года назад +3

      Of course she evolves and they evolve as musicians. Sometimes the fans are along for the journey and sometimes not. Its funny me expressing myself on these reactions i get all kinds of sentiments in the comments. Some like the older stuff more, some the new stuff more some like it all. The beauty of it we all interpret it differently. Thanks for stopping by dude

      @@BaldHeadedMETAL as for me personally I like some of their older stuff and some of their newer stuff as well. But not every song, no matter, older or newer. I have something about 15+ songs of the band which I consider as "must see/hear". That's alot I'd say but far less than their overall list.
      And what I really like about the band is that are not the same all the time. My 15+ toplist consists of songs with way different sound. I'm a 40 years old metalhead, always was into oldschool metal like Black Sabbath, Dio, Deep Purple, Ozzy etc. I've been bored for years to listen to the new metal bands. And I'm not bored anymore.

I like proggy stuff and definitely like groove metal. Just I don’t like overly progressive or progressive for the sake of progressive (not saying jinjer is). Finally we agree. Her strong pop sensibilities mixed with the band's hooky grooves are what attracts most people. I too do not care for their new material. It's missing those hooks. At least the two new songs are. I haven't heard the rest of the album yet.
    They've chosen to move towards a more progressive sound. I'm not sure that is the best direction for them. Their goal now seems to be to see how many different tempos and styles of music they can squeeze into one song. It reminds me of the late days of thrash when bands started writing designed around seeing how fast they could play. Ooh, I'm playing so fast, isn't that amazing? Sure, but it's also boring. Tosin plays faster than you all, but even he knows to write around a riff that will hook you.
