Not many custom builds make it to be displayed in a Museum. Congratulations for having the vision for the build. For having the love and heart to donate it to Forgotten Angels which is such a worthy cause. I do wish that the powers to be, bring the Triumph and Sportster together for a real photograph of them in front of that HotDog business. That would be awesome and epic to see! Great video Weems! Keep wrenching and riding and stay safe down there in Tampa!
It's a Great looking bike, you did a super fine job!! Been looking for a platform.....ive seen a 67 650 Triumph Bonneville and wondered your thoughts of that year motor as a platform for a chopper. Learned a lot about HD, and now I'm starting to get interested in Triumph. Great videos, man !!
1967 was the last year for Whitworth bolts. You will need the tools as metric or standard wrenches or sockets will not work. Also you will not be able to go to a hardware store for replacements as the thread pitch and TPI are completely different.
Gorgeous machine, hurts to think of it languishing in a museum. Like these motors people build, put under the bench for a future project then start up to find internals corroded. Hey ho, maybe it's purpose was to raise awareness and money to support a worthwhile cause.
Imagine how cool it would've been if you could have had both Mann bikes there and recreated the painting
If I win it I'll ride it a few places and park it there and walk away....yep..Can't take it with me ...
That would be super cool!
Wow! It is hard to walk away!

Odd that they don't have the painting with it?
It is in the archives and the plaque has a photo of it.
