Traditional Chinese clothing is absolutely beautiful. When I married my Chinese wife here in the UK she wore a red Qi pao wedding dress she looked amazing. When we went outside the registry office to take pictures in the garden every window in the building was full of people looking at us and taking pictures as they had never seen anyone getting married in a red dress before 😊😊😊 More Hanfu more minority’s clothing all so beautiful ❤
Chinese girl can wear Hanfu or Qipao. They are both Chinese clothes, but Hanfu has more history and more traditional, vanished almost 300-400 years because of Qing dynasty.Qipao appeared in the era of ROC( republic of China) and as a symbol of the awakening of women's consciousness, to resist the patriarchal society, it is also a fashion, its design combines the characteristics of Western women's clothing and Manchu women's traditional clothing. So there are the differences between Hanfu and Qipao.
I remember when I recently went back to china ( I couldnt go back for 4 years bcs covid) and the number of hanfu enthusiasts have increased so much! The last time i went before covid, I remember seeing a couple in malls and places, but now theyre everywhere! Im so proud!

As an American I really want to wear one of these elegant dresses to a dance ♥️ if I do end up wearing one, I will wear it with pride although I am not at all related in blood to China 🇨🇳 I am a mixed European American, but I want this style to go everywhere 🌎
i remember when i last went to china 10 years ago, i asked my relatives to get me hanfu.. couldn't find it anywhere, though people knew what i was talking about. fast forward to now and it's so widely available in china... still a bit hard to get overseas though. im learning to sew so i can one day make my own hanfu, tailored for my body size and shape.
Chinese designers should branch out from traditional designs to modernize updated clothing for everyday use, simplified patterns, fabric choices, colors and easy-caring should be considered.
Well patternwise Hanfu already is as esy as it gets since there are no armholes to cut. Just a T-Shape and external sleeves. And there are also are modernized everyday Hanfu (for example shortened) for sale.
The ancients had already thought everything through that's why I think ancient fashion is timeless in every way design, color, beauty and practicality.

All chinese government officials should wear Hanfu clothes during official events or weddings, just like Indonesian officials wear traditional clothes during official events and of course in weddings it is a must for everyone
