Uh..Damn!!!......I think I want to have your baby!!!......Sweet set up,and nice collection!!!......I've had my Dad's razor, which I think is a 1960 Adjustable?..put away for years, and one day I watched your video, and it got me all cranked up,so I dug it out and cleaned it up with some toothpaste......Shines like a new one!!!......I love it!!.....I shave with it every day now.......Thanks for the inspiration!!
Ahh the Gillette foamy. I remember that in my parents house. My dad used an electric so maybe my mom used to shave her legs and pits with. I didn’t ask. Pretty sure I used in the mid 80’s when learning to shave because that was what was in the house.
Sinatra, I have finally shaved off my beard. I have been sporting a clean shave(plus my mustache) for a week now, the longest I have consistently shaved in nearly 5 years! It feels better watching your channel when I have just shaven.
Great video! I’m a Barbasol man myself. My razor of choice, and sentiment, is my late father-in-laws vintage (~late-30s) Gem Junior SE made in Brooklyn, NY. That one requires a lot of focus! Love those Made in the USA products!
Wow! Such a freakin great collection!🔥🔥🔥 I’d love to have every item you’ve got!!! Your parents’ mirror... It touched my soul.. Admired that u collect, save and treasure all that amazing stuff✊🏼✊🏼Thank you for that nostalgic spirit, sir!
Nice cabinet. And nice electric razor i just use electric it is quick. And fast. Cool. Video im getting over an infection but hanging in there. So how are you buddy sintra. Take care have a nice day. Im Jeffrey cox remember me.
I love to shave. But I only have one safety razor and cartridge razor for now. It was a gift. Going to buy a lot more once I get used to shaving with the van der Hagan that I have now.
I normally don’t buy cartridge razors. But Gillette Mach 3 razor has a 3D motion ball in the razor handle. Just wanted to buy it so I can try it out. Ok. I’ll let you know how it shaves. Ok.
This video was brought to you today by our sponsors, Barbasol... For all of your needs etc etc 😂 They need to have you as the face of the next big advertising campaign. Some shelving in the bathroom for some of that stuff surely is the way forward. Scent free baby wipes for the grunge free razors. Thank-you for the tour of the den👍
The only thing I have more of: Clubman aftershaves... The only things where we match up: Barbasol, Bay Rum, Feather blades... Emergency re-gifted my Christmas Rockwell (brand new (long story). Will order myself another one.
You should do the Barbasol challenge: Try them all divided by halves of face/passes & see what’s the best- purple, blue, orange, green, red (original) or the Ultra elusive Yellow.
Surprised that Granpa Grungy doesn't look as grungy close up as it does when you shave with him! An everyman shave den, but an interesting one nontheless. Thanks for the shaveden update, very interesting! 👍👍👍👍💈🏴
I went to an antique store today they have some safety razors one schick black handle TTO and prob a gillette TTO adjustable but both are priced 25.00 a piece so i.left them there.
I know you aren’t a fan of shaving bowls/mugs and doing the “dishes” however I recently got a vintage seaforth and heather shave mug and really enjoy it. I think you would too, or a vintage old spice could be your style. Ha! Keep up the good work I love the videos!
If you haven't tried Dr. Jon's vegan line, you may wish to do so and quickly. When or if they bring back their 1803 scent for summer, I highly recommend that one or their Hydra soap. Good Ohio-based company.
When I got back into DE shaving I bought a lot of soaps and brushes and razors. I've settled on my Rockwell 6C and still using up the various soaps. I don't see why anyone would shave with a nostalgic razor when you have the one that works best for you. Nice to have museum pieces but for display only unless they are better than today's razors.
you should try the shave soap from the co called Regiment their top gun scent. it's drakkar scented, awesome soap and has that light clean scent of drakkar. great co as well. check it out!! you will love the scent!
Hey dude been a while since I've commented. Wow, you're lucky to get all that space for yourself. My missus would kill me if I tried even taking up half of that 😂
Very nice collection SinatraLennon. I crave the experience of shaving with a butterfly razor but nah, I'm gonna stay content with what i got which is alot. Rockwell is a good razor, bought mine 3 months ago off of Amazon, I have to say the best buy of my life (shaving life). Best shaving experience. First ever was the Frank Shaving, then came the Muhle r89, and the most recent and the best of them all ( for me) is the Rockwell 6c. God bless the american industry :) Just curious SinatraLennon, you got your own bathroom for shaving?
I think a vintage fatboy is next on my list. Got 2 partially gold plated brass 3 piece Gillettes on their way off eBay (open and closed comb) and a 3rd one I'm bidding on.
@@SinatraLennon I use my Rockwell 6C. Thinking about the 6S. Use that gold plated one, looks awesome? Some places polish and Rhodium or gold plate the 6S Rockwell. Can't justify that as much as I'd like to.
Thanks, cool. I imagined it a bit like that. You definitely have fewer brushes than the average wet shaving aficionado. Speaking of wet shaving, I tried something new today: Canned shaving cream. It's true, I never shaved with canned shaving cream before. Then I learned that, for some people, shaving with Barbasol and the like is not wet shaving at all. Hmm...what else would it be, half-dry shaving?
@@SinatraLennon I considered Nivea, but then bought the knock-off brand Balea. Both were in the "travel size cosmetics" aisle, in regular and sensitive versions. I opted for the Balea, not just because of the price but also because the ingredients are almost identical to what you find in soaps sold for shaving. Water -- which is pretty wet --, glycerine, palmitic and stearic acids (fatty acids that come from the same oils that are used to make soaps) and allantoin and aloe vera juice to soothe the skin. Instead of saponified oils, it has sodium laureth sulfate as a surfactant, and instead of elbow grease it uses propellants. I don't see that much difference, except that it is less alkaline, which means that it may not soften the hair as much as alkaline soap, but might be easier on the skin if you are sensitive to alkali.
Neat looking shave den. Too bad I can’t share a picture of my own - same space as yours, but 1 less drawer. I’ve been trying to talk my wife into letting me put a shelf on the wall to accommodate present and future brushes, but without success. Oh well, I’d just go out and buy more stuff I don’t need just to fill the added space.🪒🤪
Nice tour Sinatra. Does your wife and kids also use this bathroom, or it it your exclusive shave den? There’s no way I’d get away with hogging that much bathroom real estate! Haha.
Glad this is a products video. I saw your bar soap lather video which works very well as a face shave cream along with my vanderhogan saftey razor. Now I also shave my head, but I use a Gillette fusion proglide razor for that. What shave cream would you suggest for my head. I'm also new wet shaver, is there a special blade you suggest for my saftey razor?
Your parents mirror... honestly, that was my favorite article in your den. I respect the sentiment. Beautiful razor collection, good sir.
I love that old thing. I need to have her fixed.
2024 updated Shave Den!!! That would be awesome!!
Real down to earth 👍. I like that you have your own style , thanks for all the good content. RC

Respect to a fellow vintage Gillette lover. Great collection. I have a beloved 1960 Fatboy and have a 1963 Slim on the way this week.
Very cool!
Need to go to a glass shop and get some new mirrors installed in that old mirror stand and restore it
Thanks for sharing.
Great shave Den. Love it all specially the razors and that golden Fatboy it's really, really awesome.
Congrats, great stuff you've in here.

How do you find the new Drakkar to the older ones? I used it when it first came out but my memory is foggy about it compared to the one I have now.
I have a shave den too. Well, it's a shave "shelf" actually. With amenities such as a sink, faucet and medicine cabinet.
Its really cool man, keeping it simple, i like it!
