I love my 70-200 2.8 L lens too. Used it for my soccer shoots every time. I also have the same type of stool! So much better than crouching down for 90 minutes.

Hey David - I appreciate the gear rundown. Why'd you opt for the 16-35mm over a 24-70mm?

I have a LowePro backpack and really like it. It's the Hatchback BP250 AWII. It's a bit smaller than the Pro Tactic but I didn't need that extra size. I do like the Molle attachment sites though. Have a great week!

Yeah I think if you want a 2nt camera that is better then the 90d but not as good as your main camera the R7 would be a great camera for that.

Hey, nice to see you upgraded that PeliCase - I asked about your choice of that heavy thing last time :-) I have a similar setup for sports (2xR6, 400 MK2, 70-200 MK2, 24-70 2.8MK2, 16-35 2.8). The main difference (apart from the fact that you earn real money with it) may be the chair - I use this round type that can be expanded. I have one question: how do you manage your gear on matchday. When you move around before the game/ in the break / after the game to get shots of the bench or other - do you carry your stuff with you, do you simply trust the world or do you use that security cable of the ThinkTank? Greetings from Germany, Sven.

I still like the peli case, has a few advantages over the Think Thank roller, more on that in the future :) As for the gear, it really depends on the venue (and security of it) and how far away from my gear I might be able to go away from. It's often the case I don't trust anyone and carry the 400mm with me while taking close up shots with the other combo (i.e. don't need the 400mm for anything, but don't trust it to leave it behind).
As for the stool, I tried that round one that extends but it broke, probably my fault as I got a knock off one instead of the original.

Thanks for sharing the video. I own a 90D. I'd be interested to know what about the camera that makes you want to upgrade; where you see if falls short? -- other than it not being a mirrorless camera.

The focus system, when compared to what I have on the R6 II it’s night and day. Other than that I love my 90D. I'm not upgrading it now though, the comment was more "IF I were to upgrade something from what I have, the 90D would be it". It works fine and I'm happy with it.

Thanks for the info. Always looking for reinforcing I have a good one to keep in the 90D, and if/when I upgrade what am I largely missing to justify it. Good to know about the focus system. Thanks @@MLeeMedia

Hi David, what do you use to trigger the remote camera? I shoot cycle sports with a 5D4. I keep thinking about using a remote camera in some situations, but I'm not of the best way to trigger it.

    • @MLeeMedia

It's been a while since I used a remote camera, but I have a Yongnuo RF603C II which is a very very basic remote trigger. If you're looking for the best of the best, it would be pocket wizards. I don't use it enough to justify getting those, and ideally would need a 3rd camera, which I don't have.
