But last time i did it worked the way you're describing. there is this little trick you can do with holding the point though, If you level up the bear and resummon right after, it works. But if it gets hit between leveling up and resummoning it's joever, maybe editor was also talking about that.
I'd love to see you do some challenges. No keyboard, only mouse. Wait for last pick pos 1 and then pick a support and try to win. Cover 50% of the screen. Its just gotten too easy for you man, you need a new challenge
u didnt give up and it sealed the deal. that refresher roar on lina was the turning point. they kept throwing after that, not as 5, etc.

Why he never re summoned before they kill the Bear?
He can't anymore, if bear takes dmg he can't resummon, like you can't blink if you takr dmg, same principle.
sometimes he does that when there is one or two damage sources, but when there is more or he feels like he can't nail it, then it is what it is.
