Excelente performance by Maestro Ozawa...Bravo!!! John Williams great piece of music🙏
What an elegant and lovely performance.
Thumbs up and a lovely smile from John Williams.
Rest in peace, Seiji Ozawa.
わお!ジョン・ウィリアムズほんとに楽しそう🥰

I think the music to "E.T." is the best ever written for any film.
Love seeing Tim Morrison on trumpet and Chester Schmitz on tuba!
Ozawa really gets them whipped up. I’ve heard the Boston Pops live twice and they’re even tighter here than I heard at Tanglewood
Simply wonderful! I get goosebumps when the ET theme starts.
Thank you!
Absolutely gorgeous!
excellent stuff. Very rare.
Alternately titled: “Concerto for piano, tennis balls, and orchestra”
Simply amazing
I can see that tennis scene so clearly :)
Imagine that! Tennis balls on a bass drum as a musical instrument!!
It’s a timpani but yes, it’s fun, isn’t it? シ
@@thegoodgeneral Caught my ignorance, did you? I can't even read music! LOL!!
@@robertrowland5813 nothing wrong with that!
And also played by the incomparable Maestro Vic Firth. Yes, the timpanist is none other than the great stick maker.
Cool
Is this the same 1997 concert in which "Sabrina's Theme (not sure if that is the correct title) was performed?
Idk but I'd say earlier. 89 or 90 maybe.
What year was this recording made?
My guess looking at approx age of JW & main players is very late 80's or 90.
