Thank you so much for stopping in to check out our review! We wanted to take our time with this one, as it's a game close to our hearts and wanted to make sure we quite literally, played every ounce we could squeeze in before reviewing. If you liked it or loved it, consider sharing it around and letting us know what you think of Remnant 2 below.
@@matthewcharles9813 Our PC performance across 3 different PCs was buttery smooth. PC builds were between a 2-3k price range for perspective. I'm glad that Remnant 2 is hitting the big stage as it deserves - this game is a true AAA caliber, not a rare niche like how Remnant 1 was overshadowed.
why do people keep saying that remnant 1 was niche or overlooked. It just had plenty of problems even if we loved it, only after all the updates and dlcs did the game really became great. keep in mind in the release version we only had campaign and had to replay the entire campaign for the chance to get a new item
Remnant 2 has a firing range? That is awesome! I remember that the firing range in Borderlands 2 was invaluable in determining builds. I’m hoping the one in Remnant 2 will be just as useful!
I want to see a dueling area added to ward 13, maybe not every player would enjoy invasion pvp like me but the pvp should be there for those who want it.
What I love about Remnant is how rewarding each Boss is. The weapon mod system is something I think other games should take inspiration from. Big triumphs over difficult bosses should give you unique rewards that actually enhance your gameplay, not just XP, progression, and basic loot. It makes you feel like every battle you’ve won has helped you get to where you are. *chef’s kiss*
The Secret classes is a great touch as well. The not-so-secret Gunslinger, as well as the Engineer, Invader and Summoner classes are superb and give a massive extension of this game's playability.
I've watched every review released so far and I have to say yours is by the far best and well informed while still limiting spoilers you guys did a great job!
I saw 4 or 5 reviews of this game, and at the end, except for IGN it felt like they were more preoccupied with giving it a score than evaluating how much fun the game is in all its components, gameplay, world design, exploration, gear, team play, mob and bosses variety, and so on, it felt like they did not understand the game. Coming from someone who played the first title scared because I do not like Souls games I ended up playing the game for several hours and all its DLCs. That year remnant 1 was the hidden gem that almost no one played sadly. I honestly think Legacy Gaming review was spot on, and the best part they did not show spoilers as the others did. Thank you for your brutally honest review @LegacyGamingUS, I can't wait to start playing R2.
I feel like you guys really understand the nuances of this game and what makes it so great, unlike some other reviewers who seem as though they barely took the time to play/understand it before dropping a review (looking at you, gamespot). It’s good to see, and all of your remnant 2 content has been solid. Glad to have found your channel.
This really does sound like an amazing game especially after watching this review. Pre-ordered last night for early access tommorrow, the hype is real. Can't wait to discover what all the other hidden archetypes are and what this company has in plan going forward. Great review! 👍
played this game all night last night. i loved the first one, an all time favorite. And this has just turned everything up to 11. feels great diving into the world of remnants again
I appreciate the comments about the story. You know a lot of reviewers have been knocking the story, and while I would 100% agree that it's delivery is less than optimal, I think it's caused several people to overlook just how compelling the overarching plot really is. It reminds me of the Dark Tower, and I wouldn't be surprised if the writers revealed it to be one of their inspirations. For those interested, check out videos that summarize the lore of Chronos Before the Ashes and Remnant 1. Chronos was a barely passable souls like/Zelda action adventure, but I appreciate the hell out of it for how it expanded on the world building. Can't wait to dive into this tonight!
My partner and I were going to hold out and wait until after release to maybe buy on sale. We haven't bought a full price game in years and haven't pre ordered even longer. This is the first game we dropped $70 on in a very long time. I am so happy to see this company created another masterpiece. I can't wait to experience these worlds with my partner. So excited!
So hyped for this. The price tag was a nice surprise as well. 69.99 includes all 3 DLC packs. Better than 100 bucks to beta test other titles. See you in the Ward!!
Great review, glad the game is getting a lot of light after the first one. One thing to note, not many enemies can one shot you and death is a little bit more forgiving that other souls like games.
Literally stumbled on Remnant this week. Never played the first one but I am extremely excited to jump into Remnant II. Love finding sneaky good games!
the time played screen at the start was a nice touch. really puts things into perspective. i really enjoyed the first one so think i´ll like this aswell.well done and thank you
Puzzles don't impede progress, do they? - I just don't enjoy them. - I have no desire to have a job, in a game. - I have a job in RL. - NTY. - I want ADVENTURE! - Someone else may do the puzzles.
This has been the channel for Remnant 2 content. So happy you guys liked it, and I cant wait to try it myself. Does anyone know, if there is any kind of level scaling system? If my buddy and I are different levels, do the enemies levels reflect differently?
Gunfire Games took ideas from the souls formula and truly made a masterpiece of their own!!! Even now before experiencing this, I cannot contain my hype!!! Bravo!! Now I'm just wondering what a Remnant version of Elden Ring would look like?! It probably wouldn't ever have to exist but one thing is for sure that these games definitely deserve the same level of hype and recognition!!
I’ve played for 30+ hrs and beaten the game and have had 1 single person join me world. Coop is broken. Public matches don’t work. Put the setting on public and see who joins. You will be waiting hours. Coop is a part of the story and it doesn’t work.
Thank you for the brutally honest review, as a veteran of the first one I can’t wait to put hundreds of hours into its sequel like I did with the first. I preordered the Ultimate Edition as the package is well worth the extra money and with that comes early access which actually starts later on today depending on where you live, I’m on the East Coast so I’ll be able to play it tonight at 7pm so I’m counting down the minutes and hours until launch!
Really Exellent review, touched all that I needed to know about the game in details without spoiling the good stuffs. The first game didn't rly pull me in with the story or the setting but this one looks amazing, will be wish listing this.
You didn't pay attention to the story at all then. I may have gone overboard and read every terminal and book (thanks fallout) but once you piece everything together its absolutely amazing. So much so I even played the prequel
I wish the levels had more variety to them. Also wish there was some kind of direction in the game. Very 1st boss I fought and defeated was the main boss of the world I was in which was totally anti-climatic. Puzzles slow down the games pace to a crawl in some points. Gun play is still fun though. Probably prefer the 1st one over this sequel.
So happy to see gunfire are confident enough in their game to provide everyone early access, shame that its so rare these days but Im so excited to play tonight!
I'd really recommend trying to start on Nightmare if you like souls-like games. Its brutal, probably harder then any FromSoft game, but it's so rewarding. I even had to re-roll my campaign on the 1st planet because I couldn't get past the 1st progression boss, (regenerating vicious abomination) but then slowly getting pieces of a build together and overcoming challenges is the best gaming experience I've had this year by far.
Been replaying remnant from the ashes getting ready for tonight’s release. This was the first souls game I finished and was able to do it solo. So excited for this game.
Remnant is not a souls game, and is barely a souls like... Good job but how about go beating dark souls, it's a great game and honestly not as hard as people make it out to be
Got put onto remnant 2 days ago. I'm hooked love it... shit is amazing... my perfect sweet spot. When I'm normally running Eldin ring, destiny 2, and sons of the forest
Nice review. Took me a while to buy the first one and it was a true gem, I'm glad there is so much more custmization, gear, loot, traits to make unique playstyles. This is gonna be dope.
Remnant from the Ashes was one of my FAVORITE games back in 2019 and was for a while. Lots of games since then were a lil... lacking. I guess. When you cover world design in this game it reminds me of how GOOD it felt to accomplish secrets back in Remnant 1. Take the Ravager fight for example (The big ol wolf in Yaesha) yes you could just fight it like any normal boss OR if you looked around you could find a lullaby and play a song on the bells around the arena to calm him. Thus skipping the fight and actually talking to the wonderful creature! I'm so excited for this game!!!
Procedurally generated maps were done in Hellgate London ages ago and I played that game for so many hours, such a shame it didn't make it. So glad to see Remnant doing so well, it deserves all the hype it's getting right now!
I’ve got a small question. So I know reallocating your trait points requires resources to do so. Each archetype has an attached trait that ranks up with the archetype, and once fully unlocked it can be used with any archetype, but requires investing trait points. What happens if you’ve invested points in one of these traits, but you then decide to switch back to the associated archetype? Since you get that trait fully ranked without investment are those invested points refunded for use elsewhere for free?
I just want my ricochet crossbow back again so I can terrorise small groups again like I use to do Edit: I know for a fact I’m not gonna be paying attention to how heavy the armour is and right at the clutch moment my character is gonna eat sh!t and belly flop and I’ll be screwed
I liked the first game but haven't played it much, never finished it. The second one really cought my attention, developers seem very commited to their art and craft, no triple A modern bullshit, just straight up good gameplay action and mechanics, seems really fun and intense with a lot of depth on its systems. Just bought the Ultimate version, gonna start playing soon!
For any Destiny 2 players, was that a Trinity Ghoul at 13:49? Also, love how you guys blurred out one of the extra classes,so as not to spoil, then included gameplay of it a few min later. Not a jab, just funny. Appreciate your coverage, gentlemen. Keep up the great work. Can't wait to see some of your builds.
@@LegacyGamingUS of course, just pointing out some fun! Always look forward to you guys covering games I play. Can't wait to jump in tonight at 7pm and thanks for the great review.
Can't wait til tomorrow ,I never got around to playing the 1st one but I heard great things so I'm hyped for this game ,I been needing a new game with some rogue like mechanics
You should be able to play remnant 2 in less than an hour's time by changing your region to New Zealand. That said remnant 1 (FTA) is 100% worth playing and I'm sure even after completing remnant 2 a few times you'll be itching for more, so remember it's a good game!!
Me and my best bud played the 1st Remnant coop for days on end and loved so we're really happy the devs only got better at perfecting the game in the sequal
Yeah, me and a mate are jumping ship as soon as this unlocks later. Blizzard pulling their usual shit of making a mess of post-release patches in order to pad out their content.
Played it for a few hours today. Loving it from the first level. The action feels so good. A lot of tension, great skill and upgrade system, nicely paced rewards (instead of endless useless loot), beautiful worlds, excellent controls etc.
One thing I need to ask about though, do the bosses actually FEEL like bosses? The bosses in From the Ashes weren't anything special because 90% of the time, you have to clear out the ads before doing a little damage to the boss, only for it to play all out again 15 seconds later. You'd be hard pressed to find a boss that doesn't have extra enemies to fight. Bosses are supposed to be a spectacle. Not just difficult, but also engaging. Something to get the blood pumping. In FtA, I didn't feel any of that because I'm not fighting the BOSS. I'm fighting little dudes. There's a reason games like Elden Ring are so popular. Does anyone walk into Godfrey's arena and go "man, I sure wish I had a bunch of other dudes to fight"? NO. That's because Godfrey is a friggin' Chad and we want to fight him man-to-man. If Remnant is going to repeat that, I'm going to be incredibly disappointed.
Apparently they improved many of the boss fights to make them unique and interesting in the second game. Although I only played a little of the first game I know what you mean about fighting all the ads instead of the boss lol.
I’ve noticed remnant videos have the most brain dead NPC comments I’ve seen in a long time. I guess if it’s not some AAA mainstream title your average NPC a normie just doesn’t compute what they are seeing.
My copy arrived Friday, so two days late. But it downloaded onto my PS5 pretty quickly. I have played the first years ago when it originally came out after its release. Though it did take me a good while of running around the Phantom and Hatchery areas trying to get my bearings again. Haven't played today but will give it a good session Sunday and Monday now I have completed Diablo 4 and not rushing season 1. Firs thing I noticed were how incredibly the graphics and scenery (especially the city in the beginning) were when I started playing. Just the fine details in general, the narrative and story telling and just the overall characters interactions and the game so far in my short lived time on it have been great. I play a lot of games and grab at least 2-3 a month so more often than not I find myself playing 5 at a time online or solo and I love it, always got something to play when I fancy a change. Being someone who suffers severe mental health (OCD, Tourette's) and has periods of struggle video gaming throughout my life has been a blessing and my therapy.
Loved the review minus one thing. You said "It's not a looter shooter", but then went on to talk about the shooting, and the looting....It's very much a looter shooter in nearly every way in my eyes. Some may disagree, but to me a looter shooter is a game where you have rng based drops (not all drops mind you), and the primary gameplay is shooting, usually in first or third person. I guess you could argue this game has viable melee builds, but if I had to guess, there's far more options for guns, making it close to 80%+ of the build options. Anyway, agree to disagree. I will say though, the guy who reviewed this has a GREAT voice for reviews. This was a television quality review. It reminded of something I'd see on G4 TV back in the early 2000s. I obviously subscribed, great stuff.
So far I know for sure there are 11 Archetypes. Currently working on getting Invader. Gunslinger Medic Hunter Challenger Handler Summoner Alchemist Engineer Invader Archon Explorer And for the 12th it may be called Warlock.
I loved the original Remnant, aside from one thing - the maze like levels with staircases layered upon rooms upon corridors upon more staircases, often I'd think I was progressing through a level only to end up back at the start! If this is improved with a better map it's a must buy for me.
This has officially taken my favorite list and shoved them all down. Hands down, not even a contest the best video game I've ever played. I hope the GOW devs see this game and take notes because if the next GOW series is able to pull off a game with similar story changes along the way where everyone has a bit of a different unique story and playthrough and they can have a similar level set up where everyone has unique parts to their game others may not have it would make the next GOW games have so much more replayability and the GOW community would flip their wigs.. i really want to see a GOW game series that takes place in Egypt but that takes different turns based on what level you roll or what choices you make along the way... Man that would be just as addictive as this game is. I really hope the people working on GOW see this game and decide to do very similar things in their next games that take place in anew mythology which looks like it's going to be the Egyptian mythology which would work so well along side level design and story changes for each player depending on how they play, where/when they go somewhere or if they miss something altogether. 😮
Codiak was right. I’m thinking about enhancing builds & interweaving archetypes after I’m done playing co-op with friends. This game hits all the right feels & doesn’t let go.
For me this is the perfect blend between borderlands 2 and destiny mash, i know these one is not a looter shooter. But very rarely we see a shooter game with "out of the box" ideas for guns. And for some reason i just love when a shooter game gives me the feeling of a legendary unique item that RPGs are known for
In the old game, I had 20 in every single possible skill I could've aquire... We're talking over 1100 points put in. To be brief on the matter, this means that if our alocated 80 points or 80 skills... is what we can spend into out of all that there is (seeing that there's lots of options!), then each has to really push the standards as to how much it might effect gameplay, based on either effectiveness overall... how they work or rather, due to them being so few we can put into... then gear and the orbs for re-alocating has to account for it (aside from our own playstyles and more helping out making the difference). I'm looking forward to this, and I'll be giving it my fair share of hours to dig my teeth into. Remnant 2 seems promising, and just like the 1st game... I hope that 800-900 hours won't be enough to sate me here.
We'll put it this way. Each trait here goes to level 10, not 20. Each trait has also been doubled, sometimes tripled in effectiveness. Between your two free archetype traits and the 85 you get to spend, that equates to roughly 210-220 points of value when compared to R1 (Maybe even a bit more.) The 400+ points worth of damage traits have been removed and migrated to jewelry and archetype passives, also with increased potency. Hopefully that paints a better picture in your mind of their rework.
so glad remnant 2 is getting so much attention from reviewers the original was amazing had a few flaws but overall was better than most triple A releases that year, but was barely talked about being a new IP with little to no advertising i probably ran through the story 5 separate times for difficulty reasons and getting loot from bosses since in the first game there were 2 separate world bosses but only 1 can appear and each one had the default loot and secret loot by usually breaking off a piece of its body then some of the worlds had secret areas with events that could also get you another new weapon like the Chicago typewriter was only available at the dock helping out the 2 sisters making sure both survived.
Ngl not only is 8 archetypes fairly chunky but it's gonna add a lot to the buildcrafting. Looking forward to it. Also love how OP didn't want to spoil the new archetypes but then showed off Summoner gameplay.
I just got to world 4. Agree on all accounts. I picked up the game because I wanted a multiplayer experience. This game may be great on multiplayer but I’ve actually been playing it solo and am happy to report that it’s amazing even in solo play. Love the build variety. I normally play the healer in mmos but find the healing weapon mod can more than do the job if your fundamentals are solid. I didn’t think much of the trait system till I found one that siphons damage dealt. I had no real expectations going into this game but the end experience may rival Elden Ring, even if I don’t think it will quite win out on that.
That lightning gun looks BOSS! Not just the amazing graphic effects for it (thanx, UE5) but looks to be an absolute mob killer. Seriously can't wait for this one! I started playing From The Ashes a couple of months ago simply because this one looks SOOOOO good. I only have 74 hours in the first Remnant, but I was able to get almost every item. I thought about attempting a playthrough on Apocalypse difficulty, but now I can just jump in to this one instead and upload my first run to my new gaming channel.
Yall got a great presentation, a breakdown of the important factors from gameplay, storyline, world building, and progression, but also not giving away too much. This is brilliant. Subbed.
saw 4 or 5 reviews of this game, and at the end, except for "Worth A Buy" it felt like they were more preoccupied with giving it a score and not evaluating how much fun the game is in all its components.. it got me interested, though i didnt like the first game, clunky, didnt like the graphics much, and i got stuck in a world not understanding how the game works so i just gave it up after 3 hours.. This game looks totaly different and interesting. and youre Review is the best ive seen about it. going to pick this up already today.
This is by far the best review of anything I've ever watched. Incredibly well done! I came into this video not knowing anything about the game and I just may have to pick it up now. Thanks for perfectly balanced video!
I like how it has a very Hunt Shadowish vibe to the aesthetic. A coop with replayability is very lacking in the game industry now. Not sure why people think that battle royal games are everything because there are people who obviously dislike PvP content. A coop shooter with rpg elements and other genre should be explored.
I'm glad you guys are bringing up what the story matters most in. I feel like alot of reviewers aren't appreciating the less direct story and lore telling but I'm excited to interact with the world's more
And much like soulsborne cousins, I think that is the real pull and interest in the game. Hope interacting with the npcs and being as good of world hoppers as we potentially can be, goes a long way. I still love and remember r1 having some interactions being peaceful and just talking to someone and I loved those most
Got it today... it's just, really really nice to play. It feels great, the combat is fun, I'm very early into it, but it's got that Blizzard-style robustness to how it controls and feels, which can make for a timeless game (until the sequel). Kinda like Elden Ring is just so damned playable....this feels like that...but with guns, and unreal engine 5!
I'm not super big on soul like games, but ever since I bought it, I've been addicted to grinding it hard-core. Don't know all the secrets and stuff but I'm still having a lot of fun.
I love the way the new map looks. 4 rings instead of 2 is great. You guys have actually sold me on not only pre-ordering this, but also diving back into the first one. I'm a bit stuck in the first one since I'm playing solo and that's a bit tough early on since I've got no AoE options or things like that. I know you can't do story spoilers, but the little bit I've seen here and on other channels makes me think that this is set before the first game. Founder Ford is there and the way the main crystal is revealed is very different from the first game. Even with experience from the first game, I'm going to start with Handler or the Gunslinger since I'm playing solo. I like having a partner with the Handler, but the DPS of the Gunslinger is also appealing to me.
@@LegacyGamingUS Really?! That's very, very interesting to me. Founder Ford is looking good for being 20 years older than he was already in the original. I'm now even more curious. Definitely a pre-order for me and I rarely do that with games these days. I think Elden Ring was my last pre-order.
I'm so glad I tried it on Game Pass. I played the first one on steam, and it was OK - not great, but fun with friends. I was incredibly disappointed with the hub in Remnant 2 - a big and ugly slum filled with boring NPCs. The world feels empty and dull, the enemies look very similar to each other, the UI is ugly, the scrap system sucks, trait points feel REALLY unrewarding (wow, you gain a trait point but it increases your HP by 5! Wow, how interesting!). Played for about five hours with two friends and we all uninstalled it. Your video is good, I'm just sharing my opinion on the game. This game looks like it was developed by chatGPT.
Me and 2 mates started co-oping this game and it's amazing fun with some rewarding puzzle mechanics leading to good rewards. Only complaint is that the networking drops sometimes, so co-oping can be a bit choppy. But I'm sure these problems will be worked out over time.
The first Remnant was such a huge surprise to me when I bought it cheap during a sale. I almost felt ashamed I played such a great game so cheap. I already bought Remnant 2, but the peasant edition, do another 4 days before I can play. And to think I was saving the money for Diablo
It's fantastic and I loved my time with it. Just finished the main campaign. I do wish there were a few QoL features for it though. The biggest thing though I miss from FTA is the survival mode. I know it was included as a DLC and I imagine it's coming soon but it feels weird it wasn't included from the get go. It made the game so fun for pick up and play sessions. Also the game needs to let you roll a version of the Labyrinth and the final area into adventure mode maps too for fun or expand the content in them. Still I'm excited to see what they do down the road. Anyhoo just my 2 cents. Game is incredibly fun.
There are very few channels I trust to give me an honest review and help me decide if I want to buy a game or not... and you guys are one of them. I never played the first game, but I'm going to give this one a go. Honestly, they had me with the pet class. Wish me luck.
@@LegacyGamingUS Already put in a few hours and I LOVE this game. Handler is my go to; I don't see how you can pass up on having a Good Boy at your side. Just wish you could name him. Anyway, great call, the game is well worth the buy in. Thanks again, I love your guy's work.
Thank y'all for all your hard work. I was about to ask, does this game play like Outriders, but then you said this is NOT a typical "looter-shooter." Two questions, if you don't mind: 1. Is this game designed primarily for co-op? Does it get ridiculously difficult if solo'ing? 2. Is navigating the menus cursor-based, like in No Man's Sky, Destiny, and Hogwarts Legacy? Or do you simply use the left stick and/or d-pad to "jump over" to different icons?
1. Both are entirely viable. Livid did his entire 1st campaign run entirely solo. Feels just as good coop. 2. We played PC copies, so we can't speak to how Console elements will function.
Awesome review! Thanks for this. I stopped playing the first one because of the bosses spawning infinite minions which just pissed me off. I really enjoyed the gameplay and worlds though so I was waiting to see how the sequel would be. Seems they listened and changed everything for the better. Guess I'm getting the ultimate version to get evertything. With D4 and this I'll be set for the year and maybe more. We're really blessed with great games this year. Cheers!

What I love about Remnant is how rewarding each Boss is. The weapon mod system is something I think other games should take inspiration from. Big triumphs over difficult bosses should give you unique rewards that actually enhance your gameplay, not just XP, progression, and basic loot. The Secret classes is a great touch as well. The not-so-secret Gunslinger, as well as the Engineer, Invader and Summoner classes are superb and give a massive extension of this game's playability.
Dont forget the easily missed assassin
Plus the alchemist
Don’t forget archon 👀

The true D4 Season 1. Glad this is coming out!
😂😂 absolutely
I agree
I'm having a blast in Remnants 2 while Diablo 4 players are suffering 😂
I feel like you guys really understand the nuances of this game and what makes it so great, unlike some other reviewers who seem as though they barely took the time to play/understand it before dropping a review (looking at you, gamespot). It’s good to see, and all of your remnant 2 content has been solid. Glad to have found your channel.
Glad to have you along for the ride!
True, I'm seeing Legacy as one of the handful reviewers who get the target audience of niche typified games
The fact you only have 7 archetypes and ive seen more in some reviews makes me so excited for how many there really are
8 minimum, but most likely 9 just to fill the archetype selection grid.
@@Winturuth and honestly that would be enough for me for now, and adding 1 per dlc (if thats what they do) would still keep it nice and neat
There is a lot of more archetypes hidden on the game. But is a secret.
At least 10 regarding to what the devs said :)
It is now 12
Man your channel has really grown ! I was subbed back when you guys covered Aliens Fireteam Elite, now Remnant II ! Keep it up guys
Thanks for being along for the ride :)
Aliens Fireteam Elite is when i subbed too haha
This really does sound like an amazing game especially after watching this review. Pre-ordered last night for early access tommorrow, the hype is real. Can't wait to discover what all the other hidden archetypes are and what this company has in plan going forward. Great review! 👍
Hope you enjoy it! Thanks for dropping by to support us
Same, d4 dropped its game killer patch and made me rediscover that this game drops today and I was never so happy a game killed itself.
Only 1 active skill. Why? Why???? Allow all 3!!!
It is not on pc. It runs poorly even on powerful gaming pcs.
Remember, never pre-order, grandpa anon. Don't ruin it for others by encouraging bad market practices.
I really hope they add a on/off slider for the weapon mod Cosmetics like they did in Remnant one for showing your helmet
played this game all night last night. i loved the first one, an all time favorite.
2023 is shaping up to be a legendary year for gaming
My partner and I were going to hold out and wait until after release to maybe buy on sale. We haven't bought a full price game in years and haven't pre ordered even longer. This is the first game we dropped $70 on in a very long time. I am so happy to see this company created another masterpiece. I can't wait to experience these worlds with my partner. So excited!
So hyped for this. The price tag was a nice surprise as well. 69.99 includes all 3 DLC packs. Better than 100 bucks to beta test other titles. See you in the Ward!!
It’s price tag is actually amazing
This game is one of the best I’ve ever played. Very few bugs, great crazy story and terrific combat and visuals.
Great review, glad the game is getting a lot of light after the first one.
One thing to note, not many enemies can one shot you and death is a little bit more forgiving that other souls like games.
Your review got me even more hyped ! Forgot how many hours i sunk into the first one xD And thank you for not spoiling stuff, yall rock !
Cannot wait to play it later today, I absolutely loved the 1st and seeing all the progress and enhancements done for the this one has me so very happy
Literally stumbled on Remnant this week. Never played the first one but I am extremely excited to jump into Remnant II. Love finding sneaky good games!
First one was awesome. I have to agree with reviewer man, bit clunky but honestly is was awesome. So many rememorable bosses
the time played screen at the start was a nice touch. really puts things into perspective. i really enjoyed the first one so think i´ll like this aswell.well done and thank you
Puzzles don't impede progress, do they?
Playing this game with 1-2 buddies has been an insanely fun co-op experience so far.
Your channel has been my go to all week. Can't wait to kill some root with you guys 💪
These devs have found out exactly how to manipulate my brain chemistry
Early squad lets gooooo! Hype train for tomorrow! Love the uploads to further increase the excitement 👌🏻
So happy to see gunfire are confident enough in their game to provide everyone early access, shame that its so rare these days but Im so excited to play tonight!
They have every right to be confident
Can’t wait to play this later today! Missed out on the first game but I plan on hitting this one hard.
I did too, but man I’m so glad 2 is better in every single way
I'd really recommend trying to start on Nightmare if you like souls-like games.
Good job but how about go beating dark souls, it's a great game and honestly not as hard as people make it out to be
Not a souls game. But it's a great game nonetheless.
It's a Rogueborne game :D
Bro it's Dark Souls with guns with some extra spice. Get over yourself
Can you solo this? Are there npc bots?
Your content is so nice, very well written/narrated for newcomers! Congrats to the whole team, and Thank you!!
23:21 damn shots fired at Diablo
I'm so ready to play today! The gunslinger is going to be my pick. ❤
Procedurally generated maps were done in Hellgate London ages ago and I played that game for so many hours, such a shame it didn't make it. So glad to see Remnant doing so well, it deserves all the hype it's getting right now!
Nice review. Remnant is all about worlds. I preorder ultimate edition. I realy enjoy Remnant from the Ashes and Chronos before ashes to.
I just want my ricochet crossbow back again so I can terrorise small groups again like I use to do
Edit: I know for a fact I’m not gonna be paying attention to how heavy the armour is and right at the clutch moment my character is gonna eat sh!t and belly flop and I’ll be screwed
Going with Challenger. I’m going medieval on these monsters!
I'm going with Medic. Has always love playing the support role!
It was of the one that they've been posting about on Twitter so we felt like the icons and whatnot were pretty ok to show lol.
Do yourself a favor, play the first one
You should be able to play remnant 2 in less than an hour's time by changing your region to New Zealand.
That said remnant 1 (FTA) is 100% worth playing and I'm sure even after completing remnant 2 a few times you'll be itching for more, so remember it's a good game!!
Me and my best bud played the 1st Remnant coop for days on end and loved so we're really happy the devs only got better at perfecting the game in the sequal
Thank god for this game after blizzard just ruined diablo 4
Yeah, me and a mate are jumping ship as soon as this unlocks later. Blizzard pulling their usual shit of making a mess of post-release patches in order to pad out their content.
You are clueless
3:35 that single 'pop' of friendly fire because you just aren't really sure in-the-moment... I felt that.. xD
It's happened more than I care to admit
the 1 billion dollar question tho, is this good for a solo player .
I’ve been enjoying it solo
Played it for a few hours today. Loving it from the first level. The action feels so good. A lot of tension, great skill and upgrade system, nicely paced rewards (instead of endless useless loot), beautiful worlds, excellent controls etc.
This the review I was waiting on!
When there are add based bosses, it is now intentional. Most however are bosses with mechanics and arenas that compliment them.
Frame rate looks terrible. Its a pass for me
60+ fps but you do you and RUclips does a horrible job at showing fps 🤣
I’ve noticed remnant videos have the most brain dead NPC comments I’ve seen in a long time. I guess if it’s not some AAA mainstream title your average NPC a normie just doesn’t compute what they are seeing.
ACG addressed this, it's very strange that here the inconsistency of the performance isn't mentioned even once...
@@poppychalupa9390 60+ isn’t acceptable for PC standards

Gunslinger
Medic
Hunter
Challenger
Handler
Summoner
Alchemist
Engineer
Invader
Archon
Explorer
And for the 12th it may be called Warlock.
I loved the original Remnant, aside from one thing - the maze like levels with staircases layered upon rooms upon corridors upon more staircases, often I'd think I was progressing through a level only to end up back at the start! If this is improved with a better map it's a must buy for me.
Who else is thinking about how funny it would be to go in with 3 dog handlers. So many good boys!!
Dont forget we get 3 brand new worlds within a year, for free! This dev team is amazing
Subbed.
Glad you enjoyed it!
saw 4 or 5 reviews of this game, and at the end, except for "Worth A Buy" it felt like they were more preoccupied with giving it a score and not evaluating how much fun the game is in all its components.. it got me interested, though i didnt like the first game, clunky, didnt like the graphics much, and i got stuck in a world not understanding how the game works so i just gave it up after 3 hours..
Glad you enjoyed it!
I feel like alot of reviewers aren't appreciating the less direct story and lore telling but I'm excited to interact with the world's more
It’s a lot of environmental storytelling and micro moments of interest
It's 20 years after the R:FTA actually
@@LegacyGamingUS Really?! That's very, very interesting to me. Founder Ford is looking good for being 20 years older than he was already in the original. I'm now even more curious. Definitely a pre-order for me and I rarely do that with games these days. I think Elden Ring was my last pre-order.
No cash shop either? Offline play? No Games as a service? Shit, I thought companies were in permanent retard mode concerning that stuff.
The handler is not the first pet class ... I had a badass pet build in remant 1 I buffed them they heals me with their kills among other things
With friends is a blast, with randoms is a nightmare, I’ve had medics never use their healing abilities the whole dungeon and you can’t tell them
The first Remnant was such a huge surprise to me when I bought it cheap during a sale. I almost felt ashamed I played such a great game so cheap.
I already bought Remnant 2, but the peasant edition, do another 4 days before I can play.
And to think I was saving the money for Diablo
Got Ultimate Bundle, never regret it! Love this game!! Most fun I had in many many years!!
I'm 26, I've been playing games almost daily since 2003 & Remnant 2 is right up there with the very best games I've ever played
Good luck brother and appreciate the kind words.
@@LegacyGamingUS Already put in a few hours and I LOVE this game. Handler is my go to; I don't see how you can pass up on having a Good Boy at your side. Just wish you could name him. Anyway, great call, the game is well worth the buy in. Thanks again, I love your guy's work.
does this game run good on pc? Is it well optimized? I have a 3070 with an i9 12900k processor with 16 gigs of ram, will this run it pretty well?
Thank y'all for all your hard work. I was about to ask, does this game play like Outriders, but then you said this is NOT a typical "looter-shooter."
Two questions, if you don't mind:
True only complaint is the lack of passive perks you can upgrade like in the first one. Like the vaulting perk and consumable usage speed perk
Cheers!
I’m disappointed in myself that I’ve only just found this game in the last week..
