I listened to an interview on Shawn Ryan with this sailor. The NAVY F@cked him over. He deserves his full retirement and that should come with all honors. If you can’t make the standard and need to take drugs to do so it is not the command or the cadre fault.
If that is true it will certaily be the oucome of the inquiry. Why do the want to cover it up? DO't american citizens lives matter anymore?

@JayDee615 The issue is that if an inquiry clears a Commander, then that should be it. The armed forces is volunteer now so there is no pressure to be a seal. Softer training will lead to deaths during operations against enemies. We need to support commanders instead of prosecuting everyone. The medical community is to blame for not screening people well enough before letting them serve. That is also a consideration that is constantly overlooked.
@@JayDee615 the issue I am seeing is to my knowledge the Navy SEALs is one of the harder/hardest groups in the military to enter. They have to go through extreme training in order to qualify. If your body can't take it it's up to you to tap out but even with some exercises would-be or long time serving service members die for a variety of reasons (most often we hear about is helicopter/plane crashes, usually I believe these happened during training). But also kinda what I heard from this the recruit might have taken a performance enhancing drug of some sort not given to him by the commander which got him killed. If that is true then more than likely this person shouldn't have been a SEAL if they needed performance enhancing drugs which would make him unreliable and it wasn't the commander's fault.
The thing is fault would be if there is negligence. People can/do die in military training, if it's the training that kills them it's no one's fault. If it's something the commander or some other person does that is different from training standards then it's that person's fault.
Let that man retire, so preschool has a chance!

Why is the Navy trying to blame the Commander?
If the sailor who died is found to be at fault, then his family will not be able to receive the substantial benefits from his military insurance. And then they’d probably sue the Navy. See?

What they're really after is protecting the general's retirement (versus dismissal) which involves a very hefty retirement (CEO level) plus all sorts of lifetime perqs for him and his family plus half million per year starting salary clearance jobs at defense contractors afterward which just wouldn't be available if they part ways in any other way.
I mean, think about it: they papered up petraeus's "retirement" so that Petraeus could keep his golden parachute even after he disclosed classified material to his journalist mistress while his wife filled some fake patronage job Obama created in DC to keep her busy and out of his high and tight. So gross.

I posted their name because lots of people are saying they are “Angels”, that they rebuilt their homes after Katrina and are over there making a difference, building bridges and bringing supplies. Yes, the seal program is designed to be the hardest of training to ferret out weaker people. That's what makes them a true seal.
Yes but there are rules and protocols of what not to do. Yes people “may” die but you want some general safety standards. Were standards broken? That’s all it is. Not sure why it’s taking this long though.
Navy seal training is a direct result of a commanders experience at Dunkirk. Commander watched men thrash amongst the surf and die from lack of PT and experience in the surf.
Military personnel Die in training. Rangers, GB, PJ’s, SEAL’s, Force Recon etc all have fatalities during training. In this case it is not the commands fault. If command gave the Testosterone then it would land in their feet.

From a career infantry Soldier with multiple combat deployments to very bad areas of Afghanistan and Iraq. What is the most important aspect of training? The Army leadership used to ask and the collective response was always "safety Sir!" The most important aspect of training, is the TRAINING. Of course we want to do it as safely as possible and we do that through risk assessments. We never eliminate the risk, we just make it manageable and think through the processes. We are preparing young men (and women) for WAR and to accomplish our warfighting missions. In the course of pursuing excellence and training as we fight, as realistically as possible, sometimes there are going to be incidents. Slowly, over time, these "incidents" and their resulting corrective measures degrade the quality of training and thus, the ability to accomplish our mission. Should be business as usual.

Hell week separates those who can make it and who cannot make it through training. The seals go through extensive training to withstand some of the harshest conditions. People die in regular basic training.

I missed knowing about this case, was there evidence the dead recruit was on a drug by a coroner, if so what kind of drug was it meant for since these young recruits are put thru extreme physical and mental situations.

Has the investigation found fault? If so, why? Was any path in the investigation influenced by non-objective outside parties. How is a Commander responsible for a recruits use of drugs? Seems simple drug testing is required. Not forced retirements. Perhaps a rigorous investigation of military DEI, Woke policy is necessary.

The military has marching orders two only keep people around especially non-commissioned officers a personnel before their retirement date and figure out a way to give them less than honorable discharge I witnessed it firsthand when I was in the army and they were trying to get rid of all the Vietnam veterans they were trying to prevent them from getting getting their 20 years in or 30 years in and forcing them out one way or another that is why I did not make a career out of the military because of the way they treated our combat veterans who deserve and earned a right to retire with Honor

If trainees are dying in training, something needs to change. By that I mean not lowering the standards but the threshold in which to disqualify. You can say that most need to meet certain standards, but the commanders need to be able to gauge when a trainee isn't capable and kick them out rather than see them die which makes it moot if they can't attempt again in the future if they're dead. There must be 'some' accountability since a commander is in charge of their unit and the lives they lead.
You should grow a brain before you make such idiotic comments. No one is ever kicked out of BUD/S. You have to voluntarily leave by ringing the bell three times, ding ding ding. All of us SEAL wannabes had to do it.
