Why do you credit this to French Carpenter? I can't find any recording of him playing a version that sounds remotely like this. The 1963 recording that you seem to reference is on RUclips, but it is not this tune (ruclips.net/video/daEcu45y4qA/видео.html). Can you offer any further details on the source? We play this and want to find out where it is from. Thank you!
Esther, I listened to the link and I think it does sound like Dakota's version, especially the A part. But his is a lot "noteyer" (is that a word?) and kinda goes way out there in the B part, but for the most part I can hear the same overall melody that Dakota is playing. I wonder if anyone else agrees? 🙂
