"Past the Point of Rescue" has been recorded by several other artists, including Mary Black (1988), The Dixie Chicks (1992), and Hal Ketchum who took it to #2 in the American country charts. The song won two BMI awards - Most Played Song of 1993, and One Million Radio Plays.
