Welcome home! This is beautiful! Your waves are really good and your sky is perfect. I love the final version of the dresser top. It just feels really right with the waterfall edge.🌸
Okay Taryn, I may be bias, but I think YOU should win this challenge hands down. I've watched you create some amazing pieces of furniture, and this one is definitely a winner in my book. Glad you're home, and looking forward to your next jaunt to California to see what your mom has found for you to bring new life to! Your family finds the most amazing things for you to transform. Keep smiling that beautiful smile of yours!
Haha! I don’t know about that, Shirley! There were some really amazing artists in this challenge. We will find out tomorrow who won- fingers crossed and all that 😂 Thank you so much for your bias🥰 And I know! I can’t wait to see what treasures I have awaiting their transformation. It’s like Christmas every time I arrive- so exciting.
I am currently new at this and I use old paint I got for free lol. We do what we have to do. Your piece is not simple by any means. You are a true artist. It is amazing.
Love it! Every detail is perfect. I watch you on a Smart TV so I can't comment. I had to log in on my phone so I could suggest something. I really think you should host your own challenge with some kind of hand painting on furniture. That would be the best one yet! 🥰👍🥂
Hi Taryn … guess your home now…..lovely to get away…..always nice to come home! love the dresser! I like the waterfall dressers….I have one just like it and in perfect shape just need a drawer slide fix on one one drawer….been waiting over a year for a guy to help me fix….I think I can do it myself now! I’m a RUclips scholar lol🤣😂 Love your painting…just right for this piece…love the monochromatic colors….Great Job! Take care…talk soon😊kim
Yes! Home now for about another week and then I’ll head back down. Apparently I can’t get enough of the California heat 😂. I love the waterfalls as well! Such a sweet style. And you can absolutely fix it on your own now! You are a pro! Do you have a YT channel yet? You know I’d follow you.
Thank you so much, Valerie! One day I’ll try my hand at doing step-by-step. I don’t feel like I’m good enough for that yet. Maybe with a bit more practice 😅
I really am loving how you use the tabs from the paint cans for the drawer stops!! Great tip!! That is something i normally toss in the trash so what a great way to reuse those! I think this is just so gorgeous!!! The driftwood top and the beautiful clouds and waves all tie in together beautifully!! Well done!!!
My Dear friend whom I've missed so dearly ..but I won't give you a hard time being I Know you gotta Go have fun with family 😂..anywho I Sooo Love the contrasts and dimensions and depth with this Scene ...I Am Gonna Say This is My Top Fave and you Know how much I love your work ..But This Old guy Speaks to Me and I absolutely Love love this black/white and Grey's and that water Scene ..Wow..loving This Guy so much🥰❣️❣️👍
@@elegantupgrades your parents house up in the mountains is absolutely beautiful ..reminds me of when my Nana was still with us and she owned her Own small mountain back in Massachusetts... beautiful trees for Miles and walking through nature and coming across wildlife and unique flowers and streams etc. I Don't blame you at all as this is Very important for Lucas to experience such beautiful surroundings...my Most fondest memories is Walking through the forest🥰❣️❣️
Awesome tip on using the metal tabs as drawer stops! Thanks for that! Every time you paint a scene I'm blown away, Taryn! Seriously love getting to watch your artistic journey 😍 Love how this turned out!
Luv it, luv it, luv it! The handpainting is breathtaking. I am just about to start a hand paint, if it turns out anything like yours i will be pleased. Regards. Dar p
Thanks, Kim! I can’t give an average as it’s so dependent upon the “right” person seeing it. I will say they always take longer to sell than a more neutral piece- if you could call any of my pieces “neutral” 😂
These scenes painted on different pieces of furniture are so creative. They make such great conversation pieces as well as focal points for the interior room design. I really enjoy watching them come together.
Thanks, Richard! It’s really fun for me to expand in this way. And yes, I’m hoping they are conversation pieces. I just think that would be so cool. And thanks for the coffee! Just got the notification! You’re the best.
Taryn: I loved the driftwood top; so beautiful. I'm learning how to paint; you are a master! that scene is so neat; the handles from far away look like seagulls! Hope you had a great vacation. Loved the video.
I think you are referring to the vinegar and steel wool wash? If so, I don’t measure, I just fill a container up with vinegar and add a steel wool pad and wait a couple days to use.
Absolutely gorgeous Tayrn!! You are an awesome artist! 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much, Kim!
The scene is just fabulous. I love watching you create these wonderful landscapes/seascapes on furniture. I'm gobsmacked at the budget. Awesome.

@@elegantupgrades 😊no problem!
Looks great! For some reason with the black and white seascape, it reminds me of one of my favorite movies, The Ghost and Mrs Muir!
Oh fun! I’m gonna have to look that up, Lee Ann!
Precioso😍😍😍
Thank you!
J’adore votre travail! Bravo!
Thank you so much!
I think that that dresser came out beautiful!! I love your artwork. It doesn't seem at all that you are still learning how to paint art! Great job
Thank you, Lori! It’s been so fun learning!
@@elegantupgrades You are so welcome!
Beautiful! I love the technique on the top. I may have to try that for the beat up vanity I have.
Yes! It’s a great technique for covering flaws. I hope it works well for you.

So beautiful ! You are so talented. I Wish I could paint like that..
Thank you, Laura! And I’m sure you can! Just try following a Bob Ross video- that’s literally all I did when I did my first landscape. It was so cool!
Great job! At first I thought the bottom handles were little boats in the water. Lol!
Ha ha! The one on the bottom left had me seeing a canoe the whole time!
Different!!
I so appreciate you spending time on my channel tonight, Jennifer! Thank you for taking the time to leave comments as well 🥰

Lovely! I can't believe this cost you so little!
Yeah! I think it really helped that the dresser was free.
Still learning how to paint ??????? You are sooooo good already for me you are a true artist
Thank you so much! I still have a lot to learn, but it’s certainly fun watching it progress.
I love this so much. It reminds me of an old photo. Beautiful as always Taryn❣️
I’m so glad you said that! I was hoping for an old black & white feel!

Stunning! Really love this piece. Can you say these for specialized pieces on average how long do they take to sell. Just curious …
Thanks, Kim! I can’t give an average as it’s so dependent upon the “right” person seeing it. I will say they always take longer to sell than a more neutral piece- if you could call any of my pieces “neutral” 😂

Did the round metal drawer stops come on the piece or did u purchase. If so where
Oh no! They are the little tabs off the top of paint cans. Instead of throwing the away, I save them for drawer stops when I need them.

What was that formula?
I think you are referring to the vinegar and steel wool wash? If so, I don’t measure, I just fill a container up with vinegar and add a steel wool pad and wait a couple days to use.
SIMPLISTIC? If you call that simple…….. I call it artistic. Well done!
