    I do think Gregory being Cassie's brother is a plausible idea. It would offer a good explanation as to why Gregory was seeing a therapist through FazzBear Ent. That was the one thing that bugged me about Gregory being Patient 46. If Gregory was an orphan being either fostered or adopted by Jeremy, a FazzBear employee, it makes a good amount of sense.
    Also, I was really getting some Hansel & Gretel vibes from Candy Cadet's story in HW2, which struck me as a bit random. If Gregory and Cassie turn out to be siblings, those vibes would make sense and actually recontextualize the story a little. And possibly the 'junk story it first plays.

    • @ShesNervous

      Okay YES. I'm working on a candy cadet video where I try to figure out his/its storytelling devices, basically I think if we can unlock candy cadet cadet's common storytelling decides, it will help us decode them in the most accurate way.
      It would be worth exploring the other stories to see if they have parallel fables/grimm bros links!

    I like the idea of Gregory and Cassie being siblings, fnaf has always been about family after all. It would also make the betrayal at the end of Ruin way more shocking.
    I know a lot of people think it was actually the Mimic who dropped the elevator, but i just think it would be so much more interesting for Gregory and Cassie's arcs if it was Gregory who did it. I think it would tell us more about Gregory's mental state after being GGY as well. If he killed the four or five therapists, even if he doesnt remember, that'd still be with him on a subconscious level which could explain how he betrayed Cassie, and left her for dead, so easily. Add on top of that the possibility that they are siblings, this is just a far more interesting story than 'the bad guy did a bad thing'.

    the problem with Gregory is how he's portraited in the game. there, he's whiny, bitchy and oblivious about what's happening - but also vengeful, cold-blooded and bossy at the same time. and he's capable of repairing a full-sized, over-lifesized and technically highly advanced animatronic. all of this makes more sense after reading the novel.

    Gregory and Cassie being siblings is a really interesting idea to me. People like to compare Gregory and the crying child a lot but if Cassie and Gregory are siblings then the child crying at their birthday party is now Cassie and Gregory is the older brother who is involved with the accident that kills (or potentially kills) them. Michael and Crying Child with the bite of 83 and Gregory and Cassie with the elevator (which of course hasn't been confirmed if it was him or the mimic). Idk if that has anything to do with anything but I liked your video and the ideas presented

    I believe GGY is a "Crying Child" replacement, but GLITCHTRAP wants to turn "Gregory"/ "the Crying Child" into William Afton. The Mimic is following the Script of the Games of Fnaf Virtual Experience.
    I think Gregory met Cassie when he was GGY and plays the games when he was GGY as well.
    And I think VANNY found Gregory because he looks enough like the Crying Child to Mimic Afton's son. We hear the conversation between the Reluctant Follower/Vanny with GLITCHTRAP in HW1 where she says she "found one".
    Ultimately, GLITCHTRAP wants to turn his "Mimicked son" into "William Afton" 2.0

    • @ShesNervous
      @ShesNervous  10 месяцев назад +4

      I agree with the idea that Gregory is meant to fill the crying child role, but I think it's important to know that we don't really know what Gregory was like before being under the influence of Glitchtrap.
      As we see Gregory, he doesn't really act like or have a history similar to crying child, so it would still be confusing to me why he was specifically chosen by Vanny, unless she's making selections purely based off of hair color and shirt stripes.
      I just wish the connection was stronger, like evidence Gregory was bullied by someone in his family or was locked in a room or suffered a head injury. Anything to link him outside of just physical appearance.
      That all being said, your assessment makes sense and I would ultimately accept it if it's just physical similiarities. Also, the idea that Cassie only met GGY and not the real Gregory is so wild to think about. Building up that much trust with someone just to get them to unleash the Mimic. Eeeevil stuff.

    • @Fragmentsinfractals488
      @Fragmentsinfractals488 10 месяцев назад +1

      Remember The way the Mimic thinks. They think like a Computer. So VANNY picked based on Data points following GlITCHTRAP's instructions. Appropriate height, gender weight appearance.
      The Storyteller tells Stories but without the Heart of the Stories. They are born to Mimic.
      I also specifically think GGY was trying to get close to Cassie's dad to be able to watch him Work. Thus, explaining Patient 46's Hacking abilities. They mimicked his technological skill.
      Dr. Rabbit becomes friends with Cassie to get to Cassie's dad. Then, when the GGY part of the Mimic loses Gregory's body and becomes Virtual again, They lure Cassie's dad to the Pizzaplex and the VANNI to reassemble themselves and be put in the Mask, which is given to Cassie.
      And they teach the OG Mimic body how to "Fake Gregory".@@ShesNervous

    Heya. Fun theory, who the fuck goes to an abandoned pizza plex for a friend? Let's be honest. Nobody. However, Tu tu tu tuuuum. Drumroll What if Gregory is her brother!? Yeah, Gregory doesn't seem to have parents in the active sense. How the fuck does Gregory enter the pizzaplex therapy session? His adopted father. He is the one who adopted Gregory, stimulated him in his hacking hobby and tried to help him by giving him access to therapy. Maybe greg indicated it, probably through glitchtrap and Jeremy had maybe no clue. I do not know, Do not know how someone without a face goes on living but hey, its possible.
    Maybe, greg was taken away from jeremy after the traumatic face incident after which Jeremy was deemed unsuitable to take care of him, thus out of "kindness" he was "offered" therapy from his father's workplace!?
    *edit 11:10 haha you said what I thought, awesome

  • @RavenZombieX
    @RavenZombieX 6 месяцев назад +2

    In my opinion, Gregory and Vanessa are both part of the pizza plex. Obviously SB didn't happen. Ruin is the true aftermath. Roxy states none of Cassy's friends showed up. Yet Gregory was there... he is still there. In the tales from the pizza plex books there is a animatronic that acts as a friend to kids that are there alone. If SB did play out, Gregory is that AI that ended up thinking he was a real boy. VANNI also ended up the same way. Whether she is 1 or 2 bodies, ends up like sun/moon, as a security bot, but is also the 'kidnapper'.
    So in Ruin, mimic could very well be the real Gregory, and Vanni/mxes be the real Vanessa/Vanny

  • @ISMO.r117
    @ISMO.r117 10 месяцев назад +12

    I also agree that Gregory doesn't have a completely certain identity; in fact, he seems very “lost” in the tradition, he just seems like a complicated boy who decides to break a bunch of robots around and who makes very exaggerated and drastic decisions to solve problems.
    - Edit: And he needs a new father figure Hahaha.
    Here comes my theory (not about Gregory's or his family's origins, although I would also like to know where he comes from):
    What if Gregory has a connection to Cassie's father? What if much of his talent as a hacker and mechanic came from Cassie's father? In GGY's story, Vanessa's psychologists were on Gregory's School Psychology Board for some reason, and then the idea arises: what if Cassie's father was also connected to Gregory's school for some reason? My idea is: what if he were, in addition to Faztec, a teacher too? Could he have given emphasis to Gregory for noticing his talent? Or did Gregory (influenced by the virus) intend to somehow get to Cassie's father at some point?
    I am using as a basis for this theory the proposal to make “parallels”, for example the story “THE FETCH” by Fazbear Fright, where we have a character that we can draw many parallels with Gregory, the protagonist himself called Greg who interestingly:
    - Greg is dealing with an extremely intelligent and technological animatronic for the time;
    -He has a somewhat “expressive” and “explosive” temperament, similar to Gregory (One of the few protagonists who was cited for having hit an animatronic to destroy it and out of anger). -Edit: Although he is not as tenacious, cold, arrogant or philosophical as GGY;
    - He seems to be intelligent due to the fact that he takes quantum physics classes, which is also a special subject; -Edit: This is why I have the idea of Gregory having contact with Cassie's father, assuming he was a specialized teacher.
    - And for me the most interesting thing: in the end, when he realizes that the Feth is still alive and that he would probably attack the girl that Greg liked (I don't remember her name), he tries to stop it, but fails, and in the end he discovers the tragic fate of hers, being somehow responsible for it.
    I see a lot of interesting parallels between Gregory from the games and Greg from Fazbear Fright and I believe that Scott is taking a little inspiration from these stories to do something in the games, for example we also have Kasey who, in addition to having a certain similarity with the name Cassie, this protagonist from "DANCE WITH ME" steals 3D glasses with which she can only see Ballora through them, while in the games Cassie can only see a "virtual" world and the M.X.E.S system using Vanny's mask, although the story Kasey's story is very more, it is about redemption and changing actions. In other words, my theory is based on this proposal.
    This opens the door to many theories, for example: what if Cassie's father found out something about Vanny or Princess Quest? What if it wasn't thanks to him that Gregory was freed from the virus? (Assuming Gregory was infected) What if at some point Gregory worked with Cassie's father? At least they have some connection, Gregory being a family friend or something.
    Now Gregory is weird, probably before SB he would have been an orphan and would have had to fend for himself. But he knows a lot (too much), in one of the endings of Ruin (scooperoom) he knew very well that that claw would kill the Mimic... He must be very important, but We have no idea where it comes from... Well, I just wanted to share this theory, what do you think?
    Who is Gregory?
    I'm looking forward to the next video.

    • @ShesNervous
      @ShesNervous  10 месяцев назад +6

      oh my goodness I loved reading this! I haven't had an opportunity to read all of the Fazbear Frights stories so I really appreciate you sharing all of these connections.
      Also! Thank you for reminding me of that Ballora story because I have CERTAINLY fixated on it in regards to the VR/AR aspects of these new games and books. I remembered a line in Security Breach over the loud speakers talking about returning glasses or picking up glasses and wondered if it could've been connected.
      I couldn't piece anything else about it together but the idea of things only existing in AR but still having an effect on people, or maybe just their perceptions of the real world? Totally worth thinking about.
      I may have more to say on this later but for now thank you! I am totally into the idea that Gregory is connected to Cassie's dad. I mean, heck just the idea that the Bonnie Bro sees a kid who reminds him of a kid he bullied and tries to be kind to him only to maybe lead the kid right to Glitchtrap??? So on brand for FNAF.

    • @ISMO.r117
      @ISMO.r117 10 месяцев назад +3

      @@ShesNervous Reviewing some theories and clues, I had some ideas.
      I remember that in the summaries about GGY it seems that Gregory is a student who “just arrived” at Tobey's school, the book mentioned that Dr.Rabbit/Greg recently appeared at the beginning of the school year that Tobey was in, in addition, Greg quickly became He became friends with Boots/Elis and was invited to do group work due to his closeness to them. In other words, just based on these parts of the story, it is still difficult to trace Greg's origins, as he came “from outside”. If he got involved with Cassie's father, when did that happen? When did Gregory “fall off the map”? Analyzing the Ruin DLC, I was interested in knowing how connected Gregory was with Cassie and her family, considering how much Cassie listens to the fake Gregory, I don't think they are brothers, but I recognize that it would make a lot of sense.
      The book mentions that GGY/Gregory himself claimed to have cut his hair (highlighting his rebelliousness), although it may seem silly to mention this, it could indicate that at that moment Gregory was already out of someone's care at that time, so much so that at that moment Greg was Having her appointment with the third therapist, where she cites the supposed "tragedy" that Gregory's family supposedly "suffered" and rewatching Gregory, it becomes clear and clear (at least to me) that Gregory's hair appears to actually be cut. Amazing detail, right?
      There are those who say that Gregory was infected or got rid of the infection through the Ballow Boy minigame located in that messy daycare, where some also point out that Gregory lived there for a while. Here we can also draw some parallels:
      - There is a circus right at the beginning, linking the discoveries of the most recent games, I would like to know if William and Henry had any interest in circuses...;
      - Balloow Boy could symbolize Gregory himself, taking advantage of the fact that he is the only animatronic with a childlike appearance;
      - We have the sun and moon alternating personalities and can symbolize the moments of control and lucidity of someone infected by the virus;
      - And for me the most interesting thing, the ending where we see the sun and moon forming an eclipse, this could indicate that Gregory was being controlled in a special way, different from Vanessa/Vanny. Patient 46 and GGY is shown only in a state of manipulation, we do not see duality between Greg and GGY/Patient 46, although frighteningly he still presents “childish” traits, for this reason I think that Gregory suffered a different manipulation than Vanny, perhaps actually a kind of “combination”.
      Gregory from Security Breach differs from GGY in some aspects, he strangely doesn't know the place very well, unlike GGY who has a card that allows him to walk around the entire Pizzaplex; in matters of personality they even match, GGY says things that Gregory himself would say, they are both sarcastic in a dark way (Gregory: “Okay, but you better be careful when moving, I don't want to get crushed and twisted into a pretzel of meat"; In GGY Greg comments that Toby's problem is "thinking too much"), both have a “hostile” temperament (I don't even need to talk about Gregory hahaha; In GGY when a boy purposely bumps into Greg, Greg gives a hostile and hateful look); they both “go it alone” with what they have at their disposal, becoming pragmatic (We saw this throughout the Security Breach in GGY Greg mentions having cut his unruly hair alone, which may indicate that he was already alone at that time)
      And finally, according to the last therapist, Gregory had a great childhood and great parents, although we don't see Gregory in the game mentioning them or when this topic is addressed, Gregory doesn't say anything about it, which in itself is very strange. , the protagonist himself, when he hears someone commenting on this, doesn't say anything about it? Weird isn't it? I have the impression that this indicates that even before the possible contamination of the virus in Gregory, he was already homeless and was surviving as best he could with what he already knew. Perhaps if Gregory had a connection to Cassie's Father, perhaps Gregory saw him as an “ideal father” reinforcing Cassie's Family's ties to Gregory and it seems like he would still like a father figure (cough, cough Freddy... cough cough). It's a shaky assumption, but I believe it could be true. I don't discard your theory since it's very good, that's just another thought I ended up having. This is pure speculation on my part, I don't think it's a good theory, but I'll put it on the table anyway.

    Would that possibly mean that Jeremy is Chica/Freddy bro? (I'd say Chica Bro, bc of the blue shirt/brown shorts similarity, but anything is possible, right?)
    The Jeremy/Gregory connection is a solid theory! It would also stand to reason that Gregory's dad and Cassie's dad might be friends, or at least be friendly with each other, further cementing Cassie's trust in Gregory, and giving an extra reason to be willing to risk her life to help him. The presence of the FNAF 6 Decoy Diner above the, presumably, even older Freddy's/Fredbear location would also likely indicate that the PizzaPlex is built in the city that the franchise originated in- both dads' hometown, where the Bite of '83 occured. That would follow the logic of why Fazbear would be trying to create a museum there as well.

      1. We don't actually find out if she went missing/got fired the way we do about Jeremy. We can speculate, but there's more solid evidence of what happens to Jeremy that would lead a family member to be concerned.
      2. FNAF has rarely shown interest in the stories of moms. William, Henry, Edwin, Cassie's Dad. They even gave Vanny a Bill A. dad, but no name for the mom or even an inkling of her parenting style.
