Great review J! I agree with you that the monitor shouldn't have these issues at that price tag. It's very unfortunate, but hopefully Samsung fixed it in the newer version of it.
i got the new one and it does the same when extending displays , but after a a quick shut down it resets back to normal, so yea just a Bit Fewer minor issues.
Coming from an 34GP950-B, I truly enjoy my NeoG9. None of the problems you said. The only thing is that some games don't support ultra wide, but usually, someone has figured out a way to make it work.
I solved the split screen strange contrast thing just adjusting the color setting. 240hz, 10 bit, 422, not 444 or RGB. I love this monitor, it has been perfect for me.
I want to buy this monitor, the mini-led version, do you really recommend it? or if you have many problems? I've seen bad reviews of it and I'm afraid of spending $1750 on a monitor that would give me headaches, but for productivity reasons it would help me a lot
I think a lot of the panel issues have been solved now (at least with the regular g9 not sure about the mini-led version) but if you plan on only using this monitor by itself or maybe one extra monitor, you shouldn’t run into the issues I had in this video
Can confirm, this monitor doesn’t like to play with other monitors at all, gets weird artifacts when switching from full screen to borderless in some games, especially in rainbow six extraction, makes it look like the GPU died, but as soon as you alt + tab it goes back to normal, but it has made my pc crash a couple of times. Weird because the monitor menu gets bugged and stops working too, sometimes it stops turning on until you restar the pc or unplug it from the wall
When using the Picture in Picture mode, (2 hdmi sources) it limits the monitor to 120hz. When you split the screen into zones using a program like “Fancyzones” the monitor will stay 240hz. Hope this helps!
@@iamfresh3005 1440p is not 4k.. G9 is 1440. Because i use it too..if your multiple monitor is only at 1440p, IMO 3080 is enough and good for quite a long run.
I'm not sure if you can help me as you have a Microsoft based PC. I took delivery of the updated version of your G9 yesterday, the Neo. I have it connected to my MacBook Pro M1 through the latest CalDigit TS4 dock. After doing quite a lot of research, my plan was to be able to have two 27" screens displayed on the Neo for my online seminars. One screen showing my participants, the other showing the content I wish to share with them. My problem: I cannot get my MacBook to show two screens at the same time. Have you heard from anyone having the same issues and do you have a fix? Thank you 🙏
@@robertw.1499 That’s a limitation of the M1 chip. You can do that with m1 max or pro or ultra I believe. It’s because the chip is limited to outputting one display plus the internal monitor. The other models do not have this bandwidth limitation
i had problems creating costume resolutions for my games removing the black lines on some games in windows mode but that's just my graphics card awful drivers. i don't use double monitor just 1 Display-port but i love using the Desktop mode. didn't like the monitor stand it moves a lot when typing on my desk.

Samsung's monitors are always overpriced. When they come out they are 2x what they are after few months on any market other than on Samsung's website, that being said, this monitor could easily be at around 600-800$ price range. Neo around 1000-1100$ and Ark at around 1400-1600$ cos when you consider what kind of accurate colors and contracts and OLED display you can get with a TV for the 1000$ price and it's similar size (44-50") is quite insane even tho they are still 16:9 aspect ratio. they are still 4k, some are 90-120hz.
@@miltona891 really good, visuals are stunning, some games take a bit of tinkering to get working but majority of what I’ve played work straight away and look great

I learn to just leave it in windows mode instead of full screen. You lose a few FPS but it’s ok so you don’t have to deal with the headache
Mine comes in tomorrow. Hope for the best. I screenshotted some forums of solutions that people had for flickering and others..
