I don't have dreams/goals because I don't know where I'm good at. I don't know if I can make my dreams come true. The problem is with me, I know. It's really hard for me.. I get this feeling of sadness and worries every night thinking about my future, thinking why am I still alive. And that sucks
My deal is that I keep thinking that I ran out of time to have a dream. I’m 20 years old now all my friends have dreams that keep pushing them through life and first I think I have to define what a dream is for me because dreams have to be clear. There needs to be a clear goal in mind and everytime I think I figure out what my dream is, I always feel uncertain about it like “is this really what I want” and I just give up on it so now I’m in college and I’m just thinking what am I gonna do I don’t want to end up working some horrible job I don’t like. I’m just lost in life rn but I’m not doing nothing about it
I have helped people in their 60's figure out their dream. You certainly have not ran out of time at age 20. You should join me on Clubhouse sometime: Details here: mindsetanswerman.com/clubhouse
What do you do if you don't want anything?....all I want in life is the ability to do what I want at that moment. I don't have a "purpose". Usually after I get "what I want" I feel empty after I get it.
Getting what you want will never fulfill you long term. If you are empty now, you'll be empty again, eventually, no matter what you want and then achieve. From your comment, I can tell that YOU DO WANT SOMETHING. It seems to me that you have a desire (want) "to not feel empty." That is a worthy desire and it is possible for you to gain fulfillment outside of goals and achievements. Once you find the answer to this, then you'll find that you'll want to create all sorts of things, but the creation of these things will not be to fill an emptiness, they will come out of an abundance of fulfillment that you desire to share with others.
That is awesome. The great news is being happy is a “decision.” I encourage you to read the book “Autobiography of A Yogi” and see if it speaks to your search of this desire.
I don't know you or your journey through life up to this point. However, what I have found that brings purpose and meaning to life is when I am committed to "Growth" and "Contributing To Others."
"Especially those of a Christian background." What's so sad about that is that it's true when it shouldn't be. :( God has always been a God dreams. He inspires in dreams, He teaches in dreams. He inspires people to do big things, even the things that seem the most impossible! He has never been a "stick to what's"safe," "possible," and conventional kind of God. He's always been a "I will help you to accomplish the impossible for your joy and for my name's glory" kind of God. The culture amongst Christians of not dreaming was never started by God. It was started by people who follow God without actually paying attention to what He says. Christians who believe deeply in God, AND really pay attention to Him, DREAM!!!
This is a common dilemma. The question I'd start with is "Why do I think that I'd like to be rich?" What is it that you could do, that you can't do now, if you were rich?
There could be a number of reasons for this. I'd suggest discussing this with a friend, a coach or a therapist to uncover what may be causing any depression one might be dealing with.

I don't have any wants. I already have all the material possessions i want. What i don't have is purpose.

I see most go for what they love yet I don't know what I want
How much effort have you put into finding the answer to what it is that you want?
I tried writing those but idk why it made me cry
This is common. You are reconnecting with a part of yourself that hasn't been heard in a long time.

I totally agree with you. Thank you for watching and sharing your feedback on this video.
Sadly God is in few churches, preachers or religious doctrines. Those are usually led by power-hungry nature. The religious abuse is real :/
Thank you 🙇🏻♀️
