That Rolf Harris one is a lot darker than you realise knowing his history.
The interesting thing with that Pantera album is that it was released back when they were a glam metal band in the early/mid-80s (known as Glamtera back then) but thank God they reworked themselves into the metal legends we know them for now because the contrast between their music before Cowboys From Hell and Phil Anselmo is just a whole other level of weird
Phil came in on Power Metal which was a solid album, albeit different from what they turned their sound to on Cowboys. We’ll Meet Again is a total banger with one of Dime’s best solos. But there are solid tracks across their early albums, it’s just more Pantera sounding like their influences and the era than Pantera sounding like Pantera and defining a genre.
My favorite album of their’s is Power Metal.

Every time I think of a bad wild album cover, I think of a specific Pantera cover that stuck with me. The Pantera cover that stuck with me when I was young was the limited edition of Far Beyond Driven. I found the vinyl once in Barnes and Noble when I was 15 and I quickly put it down when my dad was walking over.

If you want to be offended by an album cover, look no further than "Paganini's Last Stand" by Maestro Alex Gregory. For one, given that he calls himself "Maestro", you can smell the pretentiousness. It's a neo-classical shred guy, and the album shows the doofus pissing on the graves of both Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen with the dumbest smile on his face, and expects to be taken seriously.

You guys should actually do the thing you mentioned at the end. Go to an antique store that sells records and you should each pick out 5 or 10 weird albums you can find, but don't show each other. And then reveal them to each other for a video.

My entire body tenses remembering 13 year old me "hiding" (but at the same time very much making it be seen) these albums on my iPod touch, saying some nonsense to the effect of "You probably wouldn't like this, it's pretty brutal"...
