Thanks for reacting! This is the absolute bet band ever to see live 😉 That video is actually a bit enhanced ("lightning" effect was fake, added in postproduction), but everything else - power, fire, audience participating - is 100% true 😎 If you want to see their coolest concert opening and hear how to pronounce "Rammstein" - just search for "Rammlied 4K" 😍 Have a nice day! 😁
The Keyboarder isn't doing a moonwalk, he is on a treadmill, and the lighting flashes from his fingers are added in post-production. But the fire and fireworks are real...
Nice reaction. 👍 Rammstein is a German band founded 1995 and still produces new albums and performs on the stage. Their lyrics are in German. Nevertheless they are successful all over the world. (At the end of my comment I'll give you a hint how to see English subtitles in (many of) their videos.) In case you would like to see some more videos from Rammstein, I have a few suggestions. If you want to see their (incredible) live performances I would suggest (in this sequence) Rammlied (live from Madison Square Garden) (* The video you already watched *) Du hast (live from Paris, France) Engel (live from Madison Square Garden) Ich tu dir weh (live from Madison Square Garden) (don't take the lyrics to serious) Amazing official videos from their last album "Zeit" in sequence of the tracks on the album: Zeit (Time) slow, dark, melancholic Zick Zack (Snip Snap) catchy song, sarcastic, funny Angst (Fear) very Rammstein, scary, credits at the end are helpful to understand the message Dicke Titten (Big Boobs) heavy (most of the time), catchy, funny, credits are funny too (my view) Adieu (Goodbye) dark, sometimes heavy, emotional Last but not least the great (but not nice) video "Deutschland" which has a lot of references to (mostly unpleasent) parts of German history. Video, lyrics, and sound are great (my view) and work very well together. I wish you to enjoy your Rammstein journey. --- How to get the lyrics in English (and why it is so hard to translate Rammstein's songs): If you want to see English subtitles, switch on subtitles (even if they are only available in German), go to settings, click on subtitles, if no English subtitles are available, choose automatic translation and then English. The automatic translations are sometimes a bit rough and imprecise but normally sufficient to get the main sense of the lyrics. In case of Rammstein, precise translations of the lyrics is hard work, because they are playing many times with double meanings of words or slightly modify common German expressions and symbolic language pictures to invert or change their meanings. (That is even used in the very simple lyrics of "Du hast".)
Brief explanation of the message of the song. She asks him if he wants to marry her and he says no, because he can't imagine living together without sex in old age.
He doesn't say no! He says nothing and he says yes and no. And then the double meaning of "du hast/du hasst" "you have (me)/you hate (me)" gets its space for interpretations of the song.
As you mentioned you like action movies I highly recommend Rammstein`s official video of Feuer frei from the movie TripleXXX with Vin Diesel. It`s a mixture of a live performance and movie snippets.Great song in any case! Greetings from Germany,Rainer
why do my comments keep disappearing!? I left a very nice and useful comment and the 1st time it was gone so I put the same comment again and I came back to check and its gone...WHY?? not asking anyone in particular.... just asking in general
also the word hate wouldn't even fit the song...in the beginning yes it would..so it would seem like it could be either du hast - you have or du hasst - you hate but when you get to where he sings "Du hast mich gefragt, Du hast mich gefragt Und ich hab nichts gesagt" "You have me You have asked me You have asked me and I've said nothing" I don't think using the word hate would make much sense? "You hate me You hate asked me You hate asked me and I've said nothing" anyways thats my interpretation 😀
"Du hast" means "you have" not you hate. "Du hasst" means "you hate" also the pronunciation is slightly different and many won't or can't tell the difference but "hast" has a short a sound so the a sound is just a short burst... "hasst" has a long a sound you just extend the a sound a little bit like saying ahh...so I guess hast you pronounce it just like you already did but hasst you would just extend the a sound a little longer like haasst.
Lead singer "Till Lindemann" is certified pyrotechnician and he done all the pyro effects. You're welcome to "Rammstein World" 🤘🔥

It means You Have and they are from Germany.

"Du hast" means "You have", but with the same pronounciation it also means "You hate".
A "new Band"...🥴
A new band since 1994. 😝
Your saying it wrong
