We received many kind comments from around the world and are very grateful for the encouragement and interest people showed.
This remastered edition features some revisions to that original film.
The original 16mm has been digitised on a professional unit..which has brought some extra detail in the footage. (Interestingly the original Video 8 filming off the screen method back in the 90’s still holds up pretty well by comparison!)
Based on feedback from you all I've also aimed to improve the music mix, where I had the levels a bit loud and in addition have changed the genre of some of the tracks to match the content a little better.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions...I’ve tried to find the balance between the interviewees being clearly heard..but also to keep some of the momentum and feel of the original.
I hope you enjoy special ‘Second edition’ video...a lot of work has gone into trying to capture this story in a way that has wide appeal, gives due credit to all the people involved.
Thank you for your encouragement and interest in this story and appreciate how people have connected with the ‘heart’ behind it..not just the machines themselves. Хобби
A wonderful testimony to the determination of our countrymen. As Winston Churchill said during his famous. Speech. Never Give Up
An attitude that helped develop rural Australia
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.. much appreciated!
I have enjoyed all the videos about the double header. I recon I was born 30 years to late, I would have been right there with them. The brothers come across as very decent men of faith that shows it there work and speech. Thank you for sharing their story. Dave.
Thanks Dave...really appreciate the comment...this new version not too many have discovered yet...so is great to have it seen. They were great men of character and faith...and more than a tractor that is the legacy I am most thankful for. Dad is still alive..98 now...so not walking too quick anymore...but I am very grateful for them all. Thanks for taking an interest!
@@MatthewPolack It must be such a joy to still have him at 98. I can just remember scrub like they were clearing being developed. It would have been a thrill to bring it into production and only wish there were still opportunities like that where you could go in without huge capital. To have your brothers with you to take on a challenge must have made it a great adventure. Dave
@@davidrobertson376 Yes Dave .. Certainly very thankful to still have him. Especially that he has seen all his grandkids.. And they enjoy being with him. He's still 'engineering' solutions. But simpler challenges like ways of picking up items he can't lift anymore with custom hoists etc! Thanks!
Hats off to the old boys of Aus great bit of history
Thanks bluedog for watching and comment!
Good effort, Matthew. Thank you. I have watched the earlier version with the louder music, a couple of times.
I’m so excited to watch this now!! I’ve been waiting
Hi Flannel... Thanks for your interest.. This is basically an update to hopefully improve the audio mix.. The Footage was also remastered.. Mind you I've actually been surprised how well the old mini dv filming of the screen did on the original anyway. Hope it was ok for you.. I'll now move onto some of the other stories..thank you for kind words.
Hi Flannel.. Hope this was ok for you.. Was mainly focused on trying to fix the audio.. Rather than a completely new film.
fantastic people
Thanks for the comment...dear Dad passed on just over a month ago...the last of the three brothers...but we treasure the stories we have and the legacy they leave the next generation! Thanks.
Thank you for a fantastic video.
Thanks Phillip... After tweaking..and editing and refining...and a whole bunch of time trying to get it as good as I can... it is great to get this out there.. your encouragement is really valued today... Thank you!
A wonderful tribute to the ingenuity of an earlier generation.
If you didn't have one, make it, if you had it, improve it.
Too bad we see little of this today.
Thanks Ivan for the thoughtful comment. Certainly a great generation. Much appreciated!
I would love to watch this video without the music overlayed, hard to understand what the old boy is talking about…
