Her company was trying to figure out a way for her to do this series and the other (which she was already half way into) but they didn’t want to overwork her so she had to decline being in it. So the writers changed the story line and they broke up because even tho the characters are the same it didn’t feel right to have the couple stay together because the actors were different.
