I had an athlete that was off on her full throws so to get one in at state the athlete threw everyone off when she stood threw 107. Sometimes just for mind games 😆
How do we know if it's better for us to reverse or not to reverse on our full throws? Is it worth it to train the reverse throw if we have a strong non-reverse? What are some technical differences between a reverse finish and a non-reverse?
Great question! We would like to discuss this further in an upcoming video. For now, it really depends on the athlete. The non-reverse is very good for developing a strong grounded finish and is a great training tool. You can apply more force to the ground more often, but a lot of throwers get more speed and power upon release when they reverse. If you feel more comfortable with farther distances with non reverses then by all means stick with it, but maybe try reverses for about 6 months to see if you improve, but if it doesn't feel right, non reverse can work just as well as a competitive technique.
It is very strange that you paid very little attention to the left leg) But she is the trigger before the shot, whether this shot will be powerful or weak!
Do you think throwers should stand throw for distance? Let us know! 👇
Technical prospective is better sir. 👑
