2:40 this is what I and majority of us with common sense been saying for decades. The media nowadays overlook Kobe's first 3 rings mainly because Shaq won finals MVP. Kobe winning it in 00 overall is a bit of a stretch yes. But in 01 and 02 he helped to carry the team equally with Shaq. At some points even above Shaq. But its the finals that Shaq rose to the level where you had to give him FMVP. And a lot of that is also due to teamwork and Kobe not being selfish. He could have gone out gunning in the finals for the award but that was not the best way to win rings.
Like I said to all my sports fans you have to blame klutch sports for all the kobe bryant disrespect. I'm 39 going on 40 I saw and have a great memory shaq never carried kobe
@@jimmycharlotin7050 The start of the 3peat era is when I started watching the NBA and I also have no memories of Shaq carrying Kobe. What I remember in that first year is that Kobe was the guy that took over late in games while Shaq did most of his damage prior to that stage of the game. After that it was largely even. I remember even 1 year some folks were literally clueless on who they would really give finals MVP. But if you have a prime healthy Shaq on your team, your goal isn't to win that award. Kobe said himself that Shaq could have been by far the greatest ever. Stupid media folks will make people believe that early 2000s Kobe was a role player when he was already one of the best players in the league.

I mean when you have Stephan A Snitch come on ESPN and lie and say Kobe was carried by Shaq it creates a negative narrative real hoopers back then I stood Kobe was never carried but in fact Shaq and Kobe discussed their game plan and who was going to lead. Kobe was destroying in the playoffs as well but that’s not talked about as much either.
I used to subscribe NBA League-pass to watch all Kobe’s games. He played like no other.

What I learned in the 2024 playoffs:
The best player on both teams of the Warriors\Cavs rivalry was.....Godrie Irving. The only man still standing out of all those players. Finals in both conferences as a 20PPG guard (no one else has done that with his size).
And the biggest shot in nba history to beat a 73 win team. Take your shot and he'll take his.

No need to Say it Shaq. I've watched you and Kobe in your last 5 yrs with Lakers. Kobe just came to your level in 2000. You even disappeared in 2nd rd of Kings games 3 and 4 and Spurs series. You pnly came back in Finals where you need to play 4 good games to win Finals MVPs. But the rest of West playoffs in 2001 and 02 nahhhhhh! Kobe did better than you.
