    one thing that’s heavily overlooked is the amount of injuries the Hawks has had so far, missing 4 rotational players (Bogi, Hunter, Vit Kreji, and Bufkin). when healthy this season, the Hawks have been good defensively and definitely showed flashes more than the record and stats have shown

    The first two games the of the season, the Hawks were pretty much healthy and were 2-0. Bogi, Bufkin, Kretji and hunter haven't played at all since and now have a record of 5-7. Once this team is fully healthy and has full depth. The Hawks will be competing in the playoffs this year if no more lingering injuries. Atlanta has needed to find an identity and they have found it with this young core. Time to build around it.

      @@p0pimp2004we are always going to be worse defensively with Trae on the court since 6’1 though I think he has been better defensively this season and even last season. But we are much better with Trae on the court offensively and to me Dyson Daniel’s makes Traes liability much easier to deal with. I wouldn’t worry about it, it’ll look good if we get some more consistent shooting off traes passes. He should be averaging 13 assists if zacc or Jalen were more consistent.

    Can honestly guarantee that the Hawks will be good defensively if they get and stay healthy. Especially because Trae is actually playing good defense this year.
    Bufkin is a pest and hasn’t played a minute. Hunter has missed half the games. Okongwu has missed a few. Bufkin being out means that Johnson has to focus on running the offense w/out Trae, so he has less to offer defensively.

    • @majestyzx9081
      @majestyzx9081 10 дней назад

      Bufkin isn't good.
      Dude's shot 18% from deep in losses and 27% in wins.
      Dude's shooting 37% from the FLOOR in 11 minutes a game.
      Isn't doing a ton on the other end either. His win shares were worst on the team by a noticable margin.

    • @Sproles11
      @Sproles11 10 дней назад

      @ couldn’t care less about Bufkin’s offense, which you are still underselling. Whatever he is or is not as a scorer, he is a better PG than Krejci and Jalen Johnson.
      And he is a good defender. I’m not sure what you’ve seen to suggest he’s not doing much defensively. He is set for a big role this year as the backup PG. Hasn’t gotten enough minutes so far

    • @majestyzx9081
      @majestyzx9081 10 дней назад

      @@Sproles11 Bufkin is a PG and has less than two assists & rebounds a game in 11 minutes.
      He is not good at his role, and the team had an overall worse defensive rating by 5.4 points when he was on the court.
      I don't know what you're watching to suggest that Bufkin has brought anything to this team. He's been objectively bad in his minutes.

    • @Sproles11
      @Sproles11 10 дней назад

      @@majestyzx9081 It seems that you’re holding him to the standards of a starting player. He’s a backup PG. He’s there to keep us from drowning in the non-Trae minutes. He showed in preseason he can do that.
      Looking at the +/- for a guy that was on the court with the worst players in the franchise is certainly a choice. Again, nobody is saying he’s going to be great or even very good. But everyone in and around the organization knows he is a good defender.
      If he wasn’t going to offer anything on either side of the ball, other teams would not have been asking for him to be part of trades. And the Hawks certainly would not have held onto him like they did. He was literally reported as one of the “untouchable” players in trade talks.
