Wow. The last interview I saw with this band, a few years ago, had the lead singer strung out of his mind. It's refreshing to see him lucid, especially given the fame train they've ridden on.

Andrew is right on when describing to people who actually listen to the music. I'm a weirdo, I smoke weed and...well I don't have dyed hair but haha. Their music is lovely.
i love mgmt so much. i remember growing up and being really into bands like zeppelin, pink floyd nd thinking tht there would never be such a caliber of music written, but mgmt has made the electronic equivalent. nd amazing interview. o nd can any1 plzzzz id the song at 4:05
@pkgrip I agree completely. Nothing seems rushed, just a simple laid-back interview there's no pressure? I can't explain too well. I've other videos similiar to this where they can be honest and more open on what they say, as you said. Those are my favourite kind of interviews.

im not going to say that he is so deep because of what he is saying, i wont say it because even though i listen to their music religiously, i dont know them personaly and i dont know if the are good people or if they are corrupt be fame (which i can kinda tell that they arent, but i will say that they are great people -from what i know-, and their music is probably the greatest from the past 20 years and i will hold on hope that they actualy mean all of what they say because its honestly amazing
@HaloGXartist45 I think it's important to make a distinction between good and bad drugs. of course the difference isn't black and white, but it's better than lumping all drugs together as "stuff you shouldn't do." Marijauna, LSD, psilocybin, DMT, and other entheogens, when it comes to a cost/benefit analysis, definitely skew more positive than negative. mdma and cocaine(in moderation) are good/bad depending on alot. while alcohol is tremendously dangerous to personal and social well-being.
the first time i see them talking about knowledge, in an interview that is, they do it while in my city, t to the dot. all is love and all is one brah.

@musicluver354 lol ya i noticed it from the very beggining and i thought andrew was hogging the microphone or something lol but even when andrew gives ben the mic he doesn't talk and it was so cute because when i went to the concert i was waiting in line and andrew came out to say hi to all his fans and all you see is ben walking away from everyone and like hiding behind the tour bus just chilling there with a drink. i was like aww bens shy haha.
You could just listen to the album and find out for yourself. That'd be nice. Give the band the time of day to listen to just one album all the way through.

@HaloGXartist45 not everything. not at all. but, musicians artists and those in creative fields tend to use marijuana, lsd, and other natural and rather safe drugs to legitimately heighten creativity. I'm 28 now and started writing music when I was 18. for years I struggled. It was fun of course, and challenging,but I never "broke through" so to speak. The day I first tried marijuana when I was 23 changed ALL that. it has had a HUGE positive impact on my life and my creative endeavors since then
omg 7:31 is soo funny. He's talking like he's kinda serious but when you look at his face you can tell theres like a hint of humour there. "heres what i think" lol when he says that with so much authority i burst out laughing and all i see is ben holding in his laughter on the side. I love them there soo funny .
