I get some heat from those who don't understand how to properly test amplifier output power that my results are too low. I use a DD-1, o'scope, resistive loads and a clean input source and I can tell you a VERY small percentage of the amps I test actually meet rated power. I have been surprised by a few, but don't get close to most "birth sheets". They use reactive loads to obtain these higher numbers and I'm with Tony, the only true way to measure output is with resistive loads. GR8 vid!
One of top greatest videos in car audio and electronics history. First showing of D'Amore Engineering Amp Dyno to the masses. AD-1 changed the history of RUclips and amplifier testing. This AD-1, TermLab/TermPro, the WooferTester, and other SMD D'Amore products shaped the future for installers, enthusiasts, and technicians.
Why? When i can use my own dyno - mine is going to be a production unit. Hit the link in the description to see what the progress on the case looks like. Just got everything laser cut for the case and the load bank in.
Damn Steve you're making some major moves. Keep it up. Thanks to you and everyone that has anything to do with this stuff. Making for a lot better products and a lot better audio systems.
Man you are awesome, you come up with all these useful tools that make making the perfect stereo system alot easier, i have a few of your products on my wish list lol
Steve, you should have taken them the old school Punch 150 Juan repaired for you. I bet it beat rated power by almost 150%. Many old school amps were rated at 12v and the unregulated ones at 14v or so would put out much more than you were paying for!
Damn u got meters u got testing tools now u have a dyno u got ur hands dipped deap into about everything to do with car audio thats cool if u got the means to do it why not ..it will better u and everyone else and ur fam .keep up the good work steve
People, keep in mind this is not intended for your car audio enthusiast, unless you have big pockets... this is being marketed for shops for a reason, it's not going to be "cheap". Awesome product though, I will most certainly bring this up to some local shops..
Hey Steve, I am writing my current college essay as an evaluation of car audio. Being a big fan of you and your videos, I was wondering if it was cool if I could use your videos as sources?
What headunit is that? everyone keeps asking yet no answers. Its very nice. The amp dyno is going to be expensive but would be worth it for any shop really.
So on a serious note Steve when is the speed Chanel going to give you your own show? I'm just throwing the idea out there because I would defiantly watch it bro
still... usefulness, with an oscilloscope, multimeter, clamp meter and a bank of resistors, using ohm's law i could figure out the same thing WHICH is what the programming in this unit pretty much does
does anybody know the rms on a power acoustik bamf 5500? yea i already know its a cheap amp but suprisingly powerfull.. but not true wattage..soo does anyone know? thanks
You are doing a very nice work! I watch your videos and I like it very much. Now I have a question for you. I own a car amplifier rockford T600.4. I want to connect it to my car and get the bigger power out of it. like the manual says 2x300watt on bridge mode. please tell me which connection will be that.'' to get the most power out of the amplifier ''. two channel mono bridged or 4 channel stereo bridged??? I ONLY CONNECT TWO SPEAKERS , 250 WATT RMS, 4 OHM EACH. WAITING FOR YOUR ANSWER. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!
Steve I'm gonna show your DD1 vids down here at tha local shops because for all the money we spend on Car Audio we should have they should want to have your products to tune systems with instead of that by ear shit!!!!
And that's the reason to use Rockford gear, right there. None of this fake rating bullshit - if they say your amp'll do 1000w, it'll do 1000w or better.

Those guys at D'Amore engineering are definitely revolutionizing the car audio industry. Xcellent company to invest stock in.

You are going to leave a car audio legacy with all of your innovative solutions to distortion detection, all the way to real power measurement.

Why do you always have to have the best stuff? Come on man
yup. I recommend the DD1 HV though for pro audio. :)
Damn Steve you're making some major moves. Keep it up. Thanks to you and everyone that has anything to do with this stuff. Making for a lot better products and a lot better audio systems.
sure :) thanks!
Man you are awesome, you come up with all these useful tools that make making the perfect stereo system alot easier, i have a few of your products on my wish list lol
the new SMD subs aren't ready yet. I am hoping to have those soon too!
We need an entire episode just putting different brands on the amp dyno. From aq to maxxsonics.
Keep making these tools and products. Way too cool and useful cant wait to aquire some or possibly all of these products.

did you watch the video?
Got a JL kickin around Steve? Just wondering if the 1000/1 is all they used to say it was.
Damn u got meters u got testing tools now u have a dyno u got ur hands dipped deap into about everything to do with car audio thats cool if u got the means to do it why not ..it will better u and everyone else and ur fam .keep up the good work steve
Steve, do you have an estimate on when the new SMDs will be ready for sale?
AMP DYNO, whay hasn't there been one years ago? Great idea and product!!!!
People, keep in mind this is not intended for your car audio enthusiast, unless you have big pockets... this is being marketed for shops for a reason, it's not going to be "cheap". Awesome product though, I will most certainly bring this up to some local shops..
What kind of radio is that? Never seen it before.🤔
Welcome to the new age of car audio ^_^ this thing is sweet
Just so I understand right, it can handle 10k per amp channel or 10k per test channel on the tester?
Hey Steve, I am writing my current college essay as an evaluation of car audio. Being a big fan of you and your videos, I was wondering if it was cool if I could use your videos as sources?
Nice.... You have an awesome mind set when it comes to building products for sound systems....
When is this going to be available?
D'AMORE for the win agian. The list of SMD/ D'AMORE equipment I want keeps growing. This is why im broke.
This thing is crazy cool, I wonder what my kicker zx1500.1 would actually do at 2 ohm
What type of headunit is that? Looks good..
Will your DD1 work with a Peavey Bass cabinet?
its gonna be a fun piece of equipment for SURE. :D :D
Damore also coming out with sick stuff.
What headunit is that? everyone keeps asking yet no answers. Its very nice. The amp dyno is going to be expensive but would be worth it for any shop really.
Hey. How many ampere do the amp use in Max load 4ohm.
Thinking install in a hybrid corolla. Do u think it Will work?
I would like to know the cost of those units. It would be a nice tool to have but what of the price?
What head unit is used in this demo?
So on a serious note Steve when is the speed Chanel going to give you your own show? I'm just throwing the idea out there because I would defiantly watch it bro
Will there be any 10" Smd subs?
What head unit is that? It's dope.
id like to see u test some of the old rockford punch amps
I've tested a few :-)
Its a t400-2 and it is a class ab stereo amp. Just an FYI. Bassonmyfriend
I'm looking for a mono block amp that pushes around 200 watts rms. What would be a good amp for a good price?
TheMrRuger one that does 200w rms at the ohms your sub requires. I have a kicker 250.1 D if you’re interested?
Time to test out those Lazars and Power Acoustik amps lol
Are these available? MSRP?
Did you watch the whole video or give up after all the pretty lights stopped flashing?
Whats the limit on the dyno....5k/10k/20k?
still... usefulness, with an oscilloscope, multimeter, clamp meter and a bank of resistors, using ohm's law i could figure out the same thing WHICH is what the programming in this unit pretty much does
Was that SEMA?
10K per ch. That's pretty beast !!
does anybody know the rms on a power acoustik bamf 5500? yea i already know its a cheap amp but suprisingly powerfull.. but not true wattage..soo does anyone know? thanks

Nice exposure buddy...
Dude those cables on the amp look fuckin huge! Are you sure they are really needed?
and all Steve is saying is that he will have his own Dyno to test the RF amp mentioned HIMSELF
Fosgate power is correct. Alway thought they were just under rated. I love um
