Oh boy, this ha been something I've put some thought into as well especially since I interact with a lot of non gendered spirits. Basically I agree I just think there is some value in knowing some of these gendered attributes specifically to better understand how to dismantle them. One of the first things my partners taught me was that even for those whom gender was a thing it was something they dressed themselves in for our benefit (if you will) but that there true nature really need not be so constrained. It's been a trip a big part of what we do involves discussing things of this nature, we would all really like to be as free as possible to be who we are without getting anyone elses crud on us:/ if that makes sense. Like spirits, humans have energy bodies that can (in many cases) assume a gender that may or may not conform to their physical sex. Some entities are more corporeal and gendered than others, and some are more fluid in form or more formless. Some spirit worlds are more corporeal than others, and (other than maybe Ymir) I’ve always interacted with the 9 worlds on Yggdrasil in relatively corporeal ways compared to, for example, Hindu deities who are mythological representations of a primordial, universal, monistic Consciousness/Energy/Bliss that transcends and subsumes created polarities like light/dark, male/female, hot/cold etc. Creative energy within the human microcosm is very powerful and can be channeled in beneficial ways in consensual relationships or can cause great harm if it is abused.
Glad you're feeling better. I agree that this division of the spirit is harmful because it makes us focus on either "masculine or feminine". But the spirit is both and neither. Everything has a masculine and feminine side because the nature of these things can be seen in those who are not forced to live either very masculine or feminine. Our physical bodies are immaterial until it comes to breeding. Our natural instincts may record one slightly more than another but that is more to do with testosterone levels. Our thoughts about ourselves are based on fitting into a certain category or list. Humans anthropomorphic behaviour towards everything else is born through our notion that we are higher beings without taking into account any spiritual or natural elements of life. If humans lived in the present moment without intrusive or unhelpful or dogmatic thoughts the illusion of the modern day doctrine wouldn't exist. I laugh when I hear someone say about Adam and Eve, because it's basically a story of a man who couldn't control himself and blamed women every since. Spiritual energy is neither man or women but that's what gives us life. Many thanks Arith.
First thing I thought of was the story Odin himself was ostracized for practicing sedr, a woman’s craft. A while back I started a daily series that was supposed to last for a year. There was a section on the feminine and masculine; getting in touch with the god and goddess within. I remember not wanting to do the exercise of evoking the male energy, as I’m a woman. I was just not interested and skipped over it. Are there two aspects yes probably. But I am who I am and I would rather let that be. Acknowledging it’s there and going out of my way to amplify an energy are two different things to me. 🤷🏻♀️ I would rather not disturb my natural flow of existence. I don’t find it necessary. On the other hand, a family friend started as a male and became a female. I was recently thinking about them and wondered is the male we knew now dead? This is the same person. A whole human. But different from who or what we knew. We didn’t bury them but the person we knew is just gone. But the same heart is beating and lungs are breathing. I can’t imagine what they themselves went through mentally or emotionally. It’s something I just might not ever understand. It’s not an easy topic.
There is dark and light. But there r as they say 50 shades in between. So there is male and female. Each has both aspects within each other. It is what it is. There is nothing wrong with a man who displays a nurturing aspect. Same as a woman who displays strength. The alignment of sex delineation to inanimate objects or spirits is to enable us to channel accordingly. If one chooses to not that is fine as well. There is no right or wrong. The ancestors only observed and based on their systems strived to help others by this. Anyone knows a mother can be just as fierce as a father if her young r threatened. So “ mother” Earth can and is as destructive as the “father “ sun can be. And the sun is also nurturing. It nurishes with its warmth and light. Ur point is well taken. I for one would use the masculine & feminine delineation but it just makes it easier. But I am not in opposition to ur usage of it being , limiting? For me that is the whole purpose. Don’t know if I’m expressing correctly. ( limited vocabulary)👈🏻 pardon my pun 😂. But freedom of expression is what makes for beauty. So I would encourage anyone to experiment with different methods and go with what works for them.
I have a similar take on gender its subjective specialy our perception of it, what most people think masculinity is i dont think, the more masculine someone is the more i feel atracted to the person but the toxic performance of masculinity is a big turn off for me. Maybe because i have a more xamanic view of the world so social norms and boxes dont do anything for me even n my personal life. In rituals sexual energy represents life and as such cant be put in small boxes life is!

In spirit if they refer to eachother or themselves as snakes you CAN expect to be bit.
Well they can SOUND like male female or both, or each other. So one never know anything other then kindness or trouble maker.
