Used this video to change the central locking actuator on my Disco 4. It worked but electric window started playing up. Used another of your videos to reset the window. Now all works perfectly. Thanks for all your help guys.
Just did my door latches front and rear. I did the front without removing the door handle but the rear i did. Thanks for your videos. They really help.

Great video set thanks helped me out no end yesterday as I had a driver door actuator fail on my MY13 D4. Also the screws holding my door card in were all posi drive head screws not torx T20
@@L663 can you tell me please what can be a cause for "SUSPENSION FAULT - NORMAL HEIGHT ONLY"? It shows on a panel suddenly (with no reason such as low fuel level or rainy weather, or terrain quality or so on) and also quits from a panel without any actions from my side. I've already changed a SUSPENSION control panel and SUSPENSION control Block. No effect. Same faults happens once in a while. Scanner diagnostics shows a message "two buttons pressed at the Same time". P. S. Discovery IV, 2016 production year
A friend wants to buy a 2015/2016 Discovery 4...I hope he won’t need to learn all these dismantling details! Good work though..it helps those of us frightened to touch anything in case it breaks!! Well done again men! 😀😀😀😀
Some people would say the late Disco 4's are the last of a generation of Land Rovers and a very good car that will hold value.... but sooner or later he will need to remove a door card.
@@L663 You are right...even the Queen still uses a fleet of D4’s rather than 5’s. I wonder quite the D5 is such a flop??.....the stupid rear door was a bad mistake and I have seen one modified so maybe JLR are putting that right. It is a car that has missed its market completely...strange but few like them. My friend wants a 16/66 plate D4 HSE Luxury with 30/35,000 miles, dealer history, not black nor white...and those are very rare things!! He he, and my cable is broken as well. A bit too much force was applied when removing it. Getting a new part tomorrow and now I need to muster up the courage to replace it.
Thanks to your videos and like 4 hours of battling in the garage I was able to do it. My hand are quite small so I could replace the inner door lock cable by just removing the window & regulator. Then undo the screw holding the door actuator in place. I then tilted it to the side so that I could access the cable. After 45min of struggling with the two pegs to release the cable I got it out. I used two nail files. I modified them for a previous project. They had a 45 degree bend in the tip and I could slip that in to release the pegs. Then I put a smaal flathead screwdriver in behind it and gently twisted it from side to side. Pop it came out. You could always try to cut the pegs off and just clip on the new one. But I didn't want to risk further damage.
I had the same problem yesterday. Luckily I had a whole spare door with a new cable. So I dismantled 2 doors in total. I won’t mention how I put the whole door back together before I realised that the cable end was broken. 😢
We have got a little carried away with our new Defender... which is a lot of fun.... but we know most of customers have the older models and we have not forgotten you guys.... so we are back on the older models.... maybe the G4 will be next ?
I hear you dude but some people just want to remover the panel - then other want to remove the glass / others the locks etc etc so i do bit by bit - sorry
@@L663 Thanks for your quick reply.I think this the search problem, when I search the lock, it came up your video ,but no panel remove, then I need to find out again,I think you just need to make two videos. One from panel to window and one from panel to lock, now you are made three videos, panel, window and lock.
Cant stress how helpful your videos are. The way they are filmed, explained and excited are just perfect.
Glad you like them!

Great video Simon , informative. Regards mark
Really great information thanks
You are welcome !
Great reference! Any chance you could provide a follow up on diagnosing a possible speaker-electrical-buzzing for that speaker?
Hi - thats a tricky one - try swapping with another speaker ? the other end of the wire will be the amp !
Is it possible to add noise insulation on the door panel. I find my 2016 LR4 driver side door is not as soundproof as I would like......
Great video! Is there a possibility to remove only the door card trim? I got these wood trims and I want to paint them black. Thanks!
top excellent guys
Can You Please Make Video of Door Mirror folding problem fix. Being one or both mirror not folding. I would really appreciate it. Thanks
Why don’t you make your screwdriver magnetic ? The screws just stick to the driver & it makes putting the screws back in easier.
video is very good, but better put all other video together, that usually other youtuber did.
