Also, maybe make it level 6 so it can't be used with Instant Fusion. 3) I don't this card very well.... I guess go for the DMOC route, make the advantage generated have a delay on it and come out during the end phase instead of instantly? 4) The Foolish effect is the issue here.... maybe do the same here that I suggested with number 4? Make it so it happens at the end phase, to prevent an immediate advantage from being obtained? 5) Hmm, lets see here.... negate the effects of the wind-up that was summoned with it's effect. Or just remove the words "or deck" from that effect?
Powerful effects need to have drawbacks, like not attacking, summoning monsters, or activating card effects for the turn. Alternatively, give you opponent advantages, like LP gain, drawing cards, or summoning monsters.
Changing Norden to Level 6 wouldn’t work cause the Elder Entity archetype is based around level/rank 4 extra deck monsters that are used to summon the other ones. Once per turn would probably be the best errata
Lavalval Chain is actually a mix between a Laval and a Gishki, so thats why its a Sea Serpent (and shouldn't require just pyro). Likewise Daigusto Emeral is a mix between Gusto and Gem-Knight.
Top ten most unique archetype mechanics like zoodiacs one material xyz summon, Infernity handless play style, lightsworn mill mechanic as a cost or trigger for effects and so on. I think this one would be really interesting and informative

Sure but I would prefer she be useful in every archetype ***within*** the World Legacy. Mekk-Knights and Orcust have Girsu who's a tuner sometimes and generates his own token to specifically be able to synchro a level 5, Arboria is a tuner, although Crusadia would need link infra-flyer, but that thing is just like a Crusadia anyway.
If Norden was made level 6 instead of 4, that would fully kill the abusive interaction the card has with instant fusion... since the special summon is treated as a fusion summon, for whatever reason. A hard once per turn is definetly helping, but having Norden summonable only once per turn would be a substancial set of restrictions.
@@sadrobot5501 Instant Fusion wasn't really used until Synchros were released so it saw play well before Norden. Thousand-Eyes Restrict was banned just before Instant Fusion was released in the TCG and it was at a time Metamorphosis was still legal and TER was just cheated out on top of a Goat token. Norden though, definitely made an impact.
The Entity trifecta all kinda leans on them being primarily Lv4/Rank4 so boosting Norden isn't the best solution, instead you can achieve a similar result with "This card can only be Fusion Summoned using the listed materials"
I haven't played since the beginning of Yu gi oh and yet I been watching every episode lol. Love the explanations times dates etc. Feels almost like being re introduced to the game.
I never understood norden, it's effect seens so simple, but seeing that It has the potencial to recicle powerfull LV4 Monsters and trigger there effects again, and Can also be used as xyz and link material without a once per turn, now I see that his Power lies in creating hyper consistent combos and looping great effects.
In defense of ib, she was a pre hit when needlefiber was coming, sure she saw play in dragon link, but they weren't the best deck at that time, they were good yes, but sky strikers were dominating at the time
The Wind-Up hand loop is similar to the Smoke Grenade Hand loop that Infernobles used, to be honest, any card that rips cards from opponents' hands is not healthy for the game.
I used to wonder why cannon doldier is not banned... But by now I realized that,it being legal is basically like an alarm bell for when a deck is to good at summoning monsters. So leaving it legal allows konami and tournaments, to keep relative easy track of when a deck is to good at summoning.
I think something they could experiment with (I know this video is older), is giving extra deck monster material requirements that specifically require effect monsters whose effect is not currently negated. This would mean things like Norden’s special summon would be less useful for those specific types of cards
another way to unban norden is to make it's summon effect work only when it;'s fusion summoned and the summoned monster can only be used for an "entity" monster. Justiciar can make it's 2nd effect have the restriction to only summon "world legacy" or "world chalice" monsters that turn. Carrier can also make the summoned monster not be able to activateit's effect.
I would like this fix on norden, and also fix azathot, I like the entity archtype, but no one play, not even on casual, because there core cards are all banned. Still they are an powerfull engine exclusive to the extra deck so they have a high synergy with nearly everything.
"Only when Fusion Summoned" actually wouldn't change most of its behavior, Instant Fusion counts as a Fusion Summon, the easier thing would be to tighten its summon req to "Must be Fusion Summoned using the listed materials" alongside modifying its Special Summon on arrival to not be abusable with things like Fusion Substitute
because duel links has only 3 zones so you cannot really do much with zenmaity special summon effect while in the tcg/ocg you still have 3 zones left after it
However the Zenmaity engine in DL is currently useful for combos to swarm the field and have a lot of alternatives - Fortune Lady Every - Invoked Purgatrio/Magellanica - Synchro Fusion - Black Rose Wiping out whatever you need - Darklords use this too

Something interesting for Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity: both effects have a hard once per turn per monster (or once per turn per card name), so, for example, the card can only special summon one Wind-Up Hunter per turn and can only return one Wind-Up Hunter to the hand per turn. This breaks any loops while doing as little damage to the archetype's gimmick as possible (and means that combos with it would be forced to be relatively complex and, possibly, creative).
I remembered when Nekroz was Tier 0 that I commonly encountered Elder Entity Norden with instant fusion plus a level 4 fairy monster in the graveyard to XYZ summon Fairy Cheer Girl to detach itself to draw 1 card with it's effect or XYZ summon Laval Chain in my experience with Elder Entity Norden.

An idea I had to nerf ib the world chalice justiciar would be to also limit the non-tuner monsters used for its summon to world chalice monsters only. Also make it so that only one of the effects can be used per turn.
For Lavalval Chain, I would actually make it so it can only send Laval cards from Deck to GY, rather than any card at all. similar to how they fixed Firewall Dragon by limiting it to a specific deck, just limit Lavalval Chain by putting it back into its original archetype.
Lavalval chain needing only pyro monsters isn't too bad. I'm sure one day pyro decks would be a thing. Waiting a turn to use it like peaceful burial would immediately kill the card. We want to to be fair, not useless.

Okay, I'm relatively new to modern yugioh, and I hadn't read firewall before now because, you know, it's banned. Reading it now, I notice that the effect is missing some very important words that *really* should be there. It's like they didn't even try to balance this card.
As a Windup user, I own copies of Zenmaity. Hunter and it were OP as hell. Though the ban doesn't bother me, cause theres a lot of other strategies you can do with the other Windup XYZ monsters and other cards uvu I mainly use it as an XYZ farming deck haha then again I play for fun over competitive 💗

Part 2 should cover ancient fairy dragon; she was one of the signer dragons that played a major role in the Yu-gi-oh 5d's anime. Of those signer dragons, she evolved from being the worst to being the most broken. For one, field spells went from being one of the worst cards in the deck archetype to one of the best, which made her powerful in that regard. But the special summon, and not even a hard once per turn, on top of that? That's why she's forbidden in today's Yu-gi-oh.

Wind-Up Hunter. The wind-up hand loop is why it is banned. In the OCG, Zenmaity is at 1, and Hunter is banned.

What they do now in ocg is giving tons of restrictions. Such as can only summon what or cannot summon what after the effect take place.

Okay, I'm relatively new to modern yugioh, and I hadn't read firewall before now because, you know, it's banned. Reading it now, I notice that the effect is missing some very important words that *really* should be there. It's like they didn't even try to balance this card.
No, they tried to balance everything around it which 100% worked and is definitely the best decision konami ever made...

As a Windup user, I own copies of Zenmaity. Hunter and it were OP as hell. Though the ban doesn't bother me, cause theres a lot of other strategies you can do with the other Windup XYZ monsters and other cards uvu

Part 2 should cover ancient fairy dragon; she was one of the signer dragons that played a major role in the Yu-gi-oh 5d's anime. Of those signer dragons, she evolved from being the worst to being the most broken. For one, field spells went from being one of the worst cards in the deck archetype to one of the best, which made her powerful in that regard. But the special summon, and not even a hard once per turn, on top of that? That's why she's forbidden in today's Yu-gi-oh.
I believe she's banned because of some draw cards Field Spell interaction.
