nah, she is way too overrated actually. keiichi and shion is left behind in many of these arcs and official arts. i love rena but i hate how overrated she is
@@bunsmeoon I will agree when it comes to Keiichi, but personally I don't really care about Mion and Shion as characters to be honest. I mean none of them were utilized much besides Rika and Satoko, bit Rena is still definitely underrated for how of an amazing character she really is.
@@wilhelmdietz4023 rena is indeed amazing, and may be underrated when it comes to generally all anime characters. but in the fandom she is way too overrated. like she have so many fanarts, figures, offivial arts, and even mei cards. like literally %80 of the higurashi mei posts contains rena cards. i personally think that mion and shion are left behind, thats probably the reason you dont really care about them too. keiichi is a whole different story tho. my mans forgotten :(
@@bunsmeoon Well, personally I care about overall screentime the most and well, I think Ryukishi had some kind of special connection to her character so that might explain her appearance on a lot of the promotional material. I think she is rated quite perfectly by the fandom, so I don't see her as overrated, a lot of people just rightfully so really like her. And yeah, Keiichi is really underrated, which is a shame because Keiichi is quite awesome as well. When it comes to Mion and Shion maybe it's because they are twins, they get to do some pretty interesting stuff and they're not the same, but they do seem a little too similar, which makes sense of course. But it's kinda like now they are just both 50 percent of a really good character, if that makes sense?

I like how this was mostly Rena, definitely my favourite Higurashi character. We need a Rena-centric Higurashi anime.
