    I have fat under my eyelids and when i told to the doctors, gus what they said, that is nothing while i am struggling with fatty liver or some liver diseases. They said that my liver function test is normal while it isn't.I almost stopped to go to doctor's office. I am learning very crucial health information on you tube and face book.I can't thank enough for those both of them. I can't thank you enough to.Very detail and useful health information. Why even bother doing all the testing? Just eat low carb, high fat, medium protein.....no seed oils, no fast food and no processed foods. Walk 8,000 to 10,000 steps per day and do resistance training 3 to 5 days per week. Oh, and get morning sunlight. Then you wont need to worry about blood work.

    My doctor wanted me to take statins and subscribed them for me. I told him I need my healthy cholesterol, changed my diet and exercise habits. I found a formula to determine if I was at risk for heart attacks. The formula showed that I was not at risk at all just because my LDL's were high. They were simply balanced... I'd just lost 50 lbs in three years prior to my doctor's lab blood work! I need to come to your clinic to fine tune my health. P.S. My doctor, unfortunately, is very overweight. Looks like you have a facility in Lexington Ky and I live in Cincinnati Oh. Thanks.

    Simple solution. Exercise and support your program with healthy foods to lose fat. Once one is lean and fit, most if not all metabolic diseases are gone. Then, you don’t even need to bother about insuline, ldl and other markers, or what diet one follows.

    • @tommygunn7745
      @tommygunn7745 4 месяца назад

      its not that simple. In my youth,I used to feel the same, especially since the silent and unseen chronic diseases manifested themselves by 70 yo . Those are ticking time bombs due to our diets . "Healthy foods? Who defines those terms? Those linked to the food industry,politicians,FDA ,many that profit from the food industry directly or indirectly . WTFU Many of the foods the shills promote give us chronic disease later " Those that make up the vast establishment incl some MDs lie to us, for all kinds of reasons ,but usually to maintain the status quo and continue to increase profits,,or simply not to risk losing their jobs., Dr brewer is one of the most accurate MDs out there and there are a few. He discusses things we all should be educated about,but will largely never ocur. Before the days of the internet we were crawling out of the dark ages . Theres no excuse today.The truth is out there,but you need to know where and how to ask the right questions in your search and be able to navigate the mis or partial information that still remains. Thanks that Dr Brewer is here clarifying many questions I have

I now have macular edema on my right eye and not sure I will regain my vision, on anti-VEGF treatment to reduce the swelling under the retina. So if you are young watch out with these process foods and eat/drink rarely if at all. OK take care....

    I totally agree with the above recommendations!
    I would recommend, as I am doing: to move more to increase the circulation in your legs . Also, drinking a lot more water thru the day to help thin your blood, as it is pooling in your lower extremities. Take a daily coated baby aspirin if your legs feel heavy, to help thin your blood. This should resolve in a short few months, if you drastically clean up your diet! 👍🏻

      I think you mean Fasting Insulin test , instead of an oral glucose tolerance test.Your insulin can be "normalising " blood glucose to mask the symptoms of diabetes for quiet a while ,apparently , so you might think you're only pre-diabetic when you are actually diabetic. But that insulin will be chronically elevated, and show up on a Fasting Insulin test .Then ,you can work at changing what you're eating etc a lot sooner ,and minimise any damage that would otherwise be caused.

    So I've come to the conclusion that I have black fly disease. I killed a fly the other day and it was a flesh fly. I'm trying to get an appointment with a doctor that will diagnose it I got a picture of the fly that I killed the other day. I also got pictures of what's coming out of my urine and my butt and and what's coming out of my skin I held one of the worms on tweezers.
    I'm tired of these lousy doctors that they don't do anything and then they write that they do all this stuff on your chart so when I saw I went through all the notes and stuff that they wrote it's just I'm so upset and I've been suffering so bad for 4 years I had to take two forbearances I'm already disabled my back I can barely walk and my hip has to be replaced. But this skin thing really took me down I've been stuck and down in the basement of my house for 4 years living downstairs and I didn't go anywhere I've been depressed cuz it looks awful. And they said I was a picker I'm like I've never been a pic or in my whole life I've never even had sores like I had beautiful skin before this. So I I ripped them up up and down in messages to them and said they're so wrong and I explained everything that the doctor said I was obese because of my calorie intake maybe it's cuz I can't walk I said I'm just so hurt right now I feel so depressed I'm in a lot of pain I got to take a shower and go see the doctor for the first time and I got all my evidence I think I should print the pictures out though at CVS and pick them up or something Even my lymph nodes were swollen I went for a mammogram and then I had to get a then she sent me to get an ultra ultrasound or something but I didn't get it ultrasound they said it was just you know swelling lymph nodes they should go down you know if they don't let him know and then I went back there cuz I broke out with these worms and I had red patches all over me and there was all swollen and half of my face That's when I went in cuz they've gotten bad. I just I'm in I'm in Massachusetts and Springfield and I can't find a decent doctor that will help me with this nobody knows about it.

    Dr. Brewer I think this is one of your best videos. Watching your channel has helped me on the road to better metabolic health. After seeing Dr Roy Taylor’s ideas on diabetes I think I am a TOFI. Although fairly thin all of my life I am addicted to sugar, By middle age I went from 145 to 176. Guess what CVD. I have lost weight all my lipid numbers are good except HA1C which went up to 5.8 from 5,7 . Ia m on low dose Crestor and niacin so worried these are affecting my BG. I am now monitoring my fasting BG better and taking some berberine and my levels are improving. I am walking a lot and adding in HIIT with creatinine, my muscles and leg muscles are improving. I feel younger and feel great. Thanks. I will be sharing this video with my Docs.

    Dr. Brewer so what causes Insulin Resistance? Is it excess fat or excess sugar? Twin Cycle theory or Carbohydrate Insulin Theory? How do we avoid and get out of it if we don’t know which to address sugar or fat. If we go on a low fat diet then we have to add sugar (carbohydrate) for energy. If we go on a Low Carbohydrate (sugar) diet then we have to add fats. Energy comes from Fats or Sugars. We cannot live off all protein.

    I am convinced that doctors do not have our best interest at heart. Right away they want to put you on meds, don't even suggest maybe starting an exercise program to loose weight. Eat healthier. And the best is when they tell you go have a test, do not even say why, and make you wait a month for the results, and make you come in for another visit for the results!
