Dr Brewer always providing the very best information on cardio and heart matters and top cardio doc
Thank you very much!
Dr. Brewer, this is you at your finest. You don't need guests or co-speakers. Just you teach and speak. You shine, and It is focused and without distractions.
I agree 💯%
People are ignorant and believe politicians and business have your best interests at heart. They don't, they see you has cattle and care more about profit than people, so it's up to you to watch video's like this and change what you put in your mouth.
I have fat under my eyelids and when i told to the doctors, gus what they said, that is nothing while i am struggling with fatty liver or some liver diseases. They said that my liver function test is normal while it isn't.I almost stopped to go to doctor's office. I am learning very crucial health information on you tube and face book.I can't thank enough for those both of them. I can't thank you enough to.Very detail and useful health information. Keep it up!
I have some fatty deposits near my eye and was told it was caused by high cholesterol. I to have fatty liver, (Lp(a) hereditary. ) and Inflammation.

@@jactac838yesssss thank you 🎉
Don’t forget about patient noncompliance. A lot of doctors do know and understand what you’re talking about, but are completely exhausted at the lack of compliance by their patients.
Very, very true!!
BTW - if you playback Dr. Brewer at 2x speed, the speech is still very easily understood.
Even 1.5 works for mostof it
You cannot understand him????
@@coldcut414no us New Yorker's need faster speech to stay focused😂
This Dr. has excellent speech and reading.
Finally, a Doctor who understands it!
Thank you!
Why even bother doing all the testing? Just eat low carb, high fat, medium protein.....no seed oils, no fast food and no processed foods. Walk 8,000 to 10,000 steps per day and do resistance training 3 to 5 days per week. Oh, and get morning sunlight. Then you wont need to worry about blood work.
You don't necessarily need to consume high fat. Low carb nutritious intake followed up by prolonged fasting with electrolytes and some exercise is the best way to lower insulin.
You don't want to consume a high-fat diet, especially saturated fat, if you have plaque in your arteries. Anyway, why are seed oils bad for you?
@ritchie9872 look up linoleic acid and PUFA. more harmful than smoking. 🚬
@ritchie9872 for some reason my response was deleted. I responded this morning about how bad seed oils are. Did RUclips not like the comment?

I’m not a doctor but I play one on the internet. I have yet to find a descent primary care physician who doesn’t source me out for a hang nail. I’m 63 and so sick of the lies and well thought out promotions to outdo their colleagues.
Clever! 😆
My doctor wanted me to take statins and subscribed them for me. I told him I need my healthy cholesterol, changed my diet and exercise habits. I found a formula to determine if I was at risk for heart attacks. The formula showed that I was not at risk at all just because my LDL's were high. They were simply balanced... I'd just lost 50 lbs in three years prior to my doctor's lab blood work! I need to come to your clinic to fine tune my health. P.S. My doctor, unfortunately, is very overweight. Looks like you have a facility in Lexington Ky and I live in Cincinnati Oh. Thanks.
Good Move my dr prescribed me i threw them out after taking 2 of them i felt like my eyes would pop out my head . Started walking 10,000 steps a day .
Simple solution. Exercise and support your program with healthy foods to lose fat. Once one is lean and fit, most if not all metabolic diseases are gone. Then, you don’t even need to bother about insuline, ldl and other markers, or what diet one follows.
its not that simple. In my youth,I used to feel the same, especially since the silent and unseen chronic diseases manifested themselves by 70 yo . Those are ticking time bombs due to our diets . "Healthy foods? Who defines those terms? Those linked to the food industry, politicians,FDA ,many that profit from the food industry directly or indirectly . WTFU Many of the foods the shills promote give us chronic disease later " Those that make up the vast establishment incl some MDs lie to us, for all kinds of reasons ,but usually to maintain the status quo and continue to increase profits,,or simply not to risk losing their jobs., Dr brewer is one of the most accurate MDs out there and there are a few. He discusses things we all should be educated about, but will largely never ocur. Before the days of the internet we were crawling out of the dark ages . Theres no excuse today. The truth is out there, but you need to know where and how to ask the right questions in your search and be able to navigate the mis or partial information that still remains. Thanks that Dr Brewer is here clarifying many questions I have

59:09 The pharmaceutical companies fund the medical establishment, including the medical schools and medical journals. (With advertizing.) It is no surprise that doctors, when they have a pill to treat a symptom, reach for the pill rather than go into questions of lifestyle, with "unpredictable results".

One way is too reduce sugar, starchy foods, and saturated fats for starters. I have type2 diabetes and wasn't even aware till my late 40s; luckily there wasn't too much damage. I now have macular edema on my right eye and not sure I will regain my vision, on anti-VEGF treatment to reduce the swelling under the retina. So if you are young watch out with these process foods and eat/drink rarely if at all. OK take care....

Very confusing and hard to understand and remember. So many words I don't know the meaning of. Still has some very good information.
An accurate assessment seems to require a battery of complex and potentially expensive testing. Would probably be best to narrow it down to a few of the most essential and work from there. Thank for the in depth overview!

I've been really sick for 4 years I've been breaking out with these sores all over my body it started my butt and then started down my leg then on my back and my arms you know and it's just no stomach or or chest thank God but but I can't get rid of them and I've been to eight doctors and their negligent on my team was negligent. They would not diagnose me one guy said ringworm which there's okay there's larvae and nodules. So I came to realize I finally I begged them for ivermectin I thought I might have parasites cuz I have maggots coming out of my sores they said I was crazy they didn't even look at them and the dermatologist took a sample of the squamous tissue that I already picked. So he said I have prurigo nodularis which meansv squamous tissue with white nodules. In other words you don't know what it is.

A thorough treatise on cholesterol is found in the book, "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Cholesterol."
Dr Brewer if metabolic syndrome is caused by a disfunction of mitochondria, isn’t the key lifestyle centered around increasing mitochondria function? HIT training, low limits of glycated end products, sleep, low stress, reduced visceral fat, fasting, sunlight, plenty of sunlight to increase Vitamin D, increase blood flow, increase nitric oxide, reduce triglycerides increase HDL, move or keep pattern A LDL, decrease inflammation plac2, Mpo, hsCRP, Decrease drugs and medications know to decrease mitochondria such as Statin drugs?
you just summarized tons of concepts in preventive cardiovascular medicine, although there is a lot of benefit-risk balance to consider especially with medications and supplements, lifestyle is way more effective
All I know is Statins do more harm to deregulate the body's systems and it really is criminal patients are being prescribed these drugs imo..
All based on the myth that high cholesterol causes CVD ... Ancel Keys was absolutely a criminal and I can't believe how long his lies and

Is this drs full name: Thomas Fordham Brewer? In trying to look up drs credentials from medical boards.
I totally agree with the above recommendations!
I would recommend, as I am doing: to move more to increase the circulation in your legs . Also, drinking a lot more water thru the day to help thin your blood, as it is pooling in your lower extremities. Take a daily coated baby aspirin if your legs feel heavy, to help thin your blood. This should resolve in a short few months, if you drastically clean up your diet! 👍🏻
Aspirin linked to cancer. Try vit E as blood thinner first.
Excellent Video. I try to convince my husband regarding Cereal, I don’t buy it but he eats it when traveling.
ummm Thank you but no where did I see your protocol? Ie what else are you doing to reverse or slow down disease. Ie nato , d3 , etc..? Where do I find that?
we have plenty of videos, the thing is there is no one size fits all solution, no recipe that works for everyone, Dr Brewer provides tailored made care to each patient, YT provide overall recommendations, no medical advice
But why do you need an OGGT if you know you’re prediabetic?
you might have diabetes and not know it, also helps track disease progress and severity along with insulin function
I think you mean Fasting Insulin test , instead of an oral glucose tolerance test.Your insulin can be "normalising " blood glucose to mask the symptoms of diabetes for quiet a while ,apparently , so you might think you're only pre-diabetic when you are actually diabetic. But that insulin will be chronically elevated, and show up on a Fasting Insulin test .Then ,you can work at changing what you're eating etc a lot sooner ,and minimise any damage that would otherwise be caused.
So I've come to the conclusion that I have black fly disease. I killed a fly the other day and it was a flesh fly. I'm trying to get an appointment with a doctor that will diagnose it I got a picture of the fly that I killed the other day. I also got pictures of what's coming out of my urine and my butt and and what's coming out of my skin I held one of the worms on tweezers.
I'm tired of these lousy doctors that they don't do anything and then they write that they do all this stuff on your chart so when I saw I went through all the notes and stuff that they wrote it's just I'm so upset and I've been suffering so bad for 4 years I had to take two forbearances I'm already disabled my back I can barely walk and my hip has to be replaced. But this skin thing really took me down I've been stuck and down in the basement of my house for 4 years living downstairs and I didn't go anywhere I've been depressed cuz it looks awful. And they said I was a picker I'm like I've never been a pic or in my whole life I've never even had sores like I had beautiful skin before this. So I I ripped them up up and down in messages to them and said they're so wrong and I explained everything that the doctor said I was obese because of my calorie intake maybe it's cuz I can't walk I said I'm just so hurt right now I feel so depressed I'm in a lot of pain I got to take a shower and go see the doctor for the first time and I got all my evidence I think I should print the pictures out though at CVS and pick them up or something Even my lymph nodes were swollen I went for a mammogram and then I had to get a then she sent me to get an ultra ultrasound or something but I didn't get it ultrasound they said it was just you know swelling lymph nodes they should go down you know if they don't let him know and then I went back there cuz I broke out with these worms and I had red patches all over me and there was all swollen and half of my face That's when I went in cuz they've gotten bad. I just I'm in I'm in Massachusetts and Springfield and I can't find a decent doctor that will help me with this nobody knows about it.
and if you already have diabetes, high BP and CKD?
My Bible teaches me pray over my food and sanctify in Jesus name and he will let it be nursing to my body believe what God's word said he'll take care of you and keep you alive not all this foolishness out there today
But the food they had when Jesus was around isn’t what we have today. Are you saying if you pray over your food that will eliminate the mercury in your fish or the hormones in your beef?

Bilary - Pancreatic junction & inflammation or obstruction of is a cause of imbalance between carbohydrates, protein & fats metabolism. Yes , Pancrea has a duct delivering insulin to Duodenum .
Stress constricts the flow of Bile & Insulin & inflammation & Gall bladder stones. So this point where Bile & Pancreatic ducts meet & flow without obstruction is a major health balancing factor.
Insulin regulation not RESISTANCE is a major factor. Yes, Pancreas overstimulation by all sorts of stimulants is to be regulated .....
I am advised type 2 diabetes then Alzheimer's or type 3 diabetes & innumerable ither health issues, are due to insulin resistance caused by amyloid plaques in the pancreas. Dissolve the amyloid plaque & you're back in balance.
Yep. Alzheimer’s is now called Type 3 Diabetes. We’ve done work with Dale Bredesen’s group on this issue.

Dr. Brewer I think this is one of your best videos. Watching your channel has helped me on the road to better metabolic health. After seeing Dr Roy Taylor’s ideas on diabetes I think I am a TOFI. Although fairly thin all of my life I am addicted to sugar, By middle age I went from 145 to 176. Guess what CVD. I have lost weight all my lipid numbers are good except HA1C which went up to 5.8 from 5,7 . Ia m on low dose Crestor and niacin so worried these are affecting my BG. I am now monitoring my fasting BG better and taking some berberine and my levels are improving. I am walking a lot and adding in HIIT with creatinine, my muscles and leg muscles are improving. I feel younger and feel great. Thanks. I will be sharing this video with my Docs.

Dr. Brewer so what causes Insulin Resistance? Is it excess fat or excess sugar? Twin Cycle theory or Carbohydrate Insulin Theory? How do we avoid and get out of it if we don’t know which to address sugar or fat. If we go on a low fat diet then we have to add sugar (carbohydrate) for energy. If we go on a Low Carbohydrate (sugar) diet then we have to add fats. Energy comes from Fats or Sugars. We cannot live off all protein.
Good question!
Don’t need sugar
Carbs turn into sugar

Great video. I wanted to know if you have done a video about high fasting glucose in the morning (105), however fasting insulin is below 3. All other Inflammatory markers are in the GREEN.
We see a lot of people develop the Dawn Effect as they get fat-adapted.
I have had type 2 diabetes and of course I feel half dead all the time. Gloom and doom . I have heard it all before I am 64 and have trying to get rid of diabetes for a long time. I don't have enough money to go your rout. Worthless.
go carnivore. Red meat, eggs, sea salt. Pretty much all you'll ever need, which really irritates the food corps that we're figuring this stuff out, and also has shown great effectiveness against your issue. This guy seems to be running an informercial so you'll go see him, as a skipped through the presentation, so I certainly don't buy into it. Carnivore reversed all of my issues, including Diabetes.
There are some potential Causes. Some genetic. There was interesting study in elderly people.
They gave them zinc for 7 days and beyond. They found There immune system was just as good as a young person. There il2 and il6 started normalizing.
I am convinced that doctors do not have our best interest at heart. Right away they want to put you on meds, don't even suggest maybe starting an exercise program to loose weight. Eat healthier. And the best is when they tell you go have a test, do not even say why, and make you wait a month for the results, and make you come in for another visit for the results!
There is a lot of truth there. Before getting too deep into it, think about why doctors are doing that. There are so many patients refusing anything but medications. Doctors fail, though to understand that there still many patients willing to do the right thing.
I'm 67 and have very low fasting insulin. At the border of the low range of the test.
Excellent!
