Same. Had mine since last December but idk how to put rear cam in
same
It would have been nice if you would play the install at normal speed as I cant find where the SD card needs to go.
SD goes in the right side of the camera.
Maybe (and hopefully) the camera helped out in that collision scenario but; I learned at a very young age (when I first started driving) that, any and all vehicles making a turn, MUST *ALWAYS* yield to vehicles that aren't turning. Basically, vehicle(s) that are continuing straight always have right of way over any other vehicle that may be desiring to make a turn, or a lane change...
I learned that because I was in the SAME EXACT scenario your daughter was in, except it was WAY before dash cams. Sadly though, the guy that hit me was a foreigner so he even actually DID ADMIT to blowing the red light. The officer then "taught me" how even though he admitted it ~ I was still (legally) "in the wrong" because ~ and then he explained the whole thing about how any vehicle turning (or changing lanes) HAS to yield/give way to someone that "all they're trying to do is continue straight/forward..."
That's why I say I hope maybe the video some how made the difference for your daughter and or you. Whether with the responding officer(s) and/or the insurance! But yes, just so you know - at least everywhere in the US (as far as I know) that's how it is. If you're the one making a lane change or a turn - you MUST yield or give way to those who aren't desiring/attempting a lane change/turn... Even if they're "otherwise in the wrong" (IE blowing a red light/disobeying a traffic control device)...
Unless it does happen to be different in your jurisdiction and or unless things have changed (I learned that back in 1999)! Although cops are also "allowed" discretion too so in that case the video "evidence" almost surely helped! Also, "the law" and "insurance" are totally different too. Technically speaking she "could have" gotten a ticket for "failure to yield while turning", but the insurance company (upon reviewing the video) could say "NOT at fault"... But anyway, that's a rabbit hole we need not go down LOL ~ Either and any which way you slice it - I am glad that "video 'evidence'" was apparently able to help you out with that collision your daughter was involved in! If she BOTH did NOT receive any "citations" (tickets) AND insurance did NOT find her at fault; consider that a DOUBLE WIN!!!
One of the reasons I'm currently looking into getting a dash cam for my car right now (being able to record VIDEO EVIDENCE of events)! Hence landing across this review, this model is one of the models under my current consideration. So, that being said; I see (at this point) that this video is 9 months old now! What are your opinions now of this device? How has it been holding up? etc?
I just want instructions on mounting this POS
Yea me 2
We're does the red wire hook too
The incessant red wire! I wanted to know too lol
It only hooks up if you want it for a back up camera it hooks up too one of your reverse light bulb to the Red wire I watched a video of it you splice your wire to your reverse light bulb and Peel some of the red wire to and tape it up so it doesn't touch anything
I’m still need a video lol 😂
@@stevensimpson4444 The rear camera still works without it hooked up, the only thing it does is changes the view on the camera LCD to full screen, that is if you can even see something that small to use it as a backup camera.kinda dumb feature
Just got this dash cam my question is do you have to pull the card after a accident to keep from being recorded over?
How do i access the footage if I have a card reader on my phone?
The manual says 32Gb is the maximum storage this camera can use. (card comes with product). Yeah, I am having trouble peeling the red film off the sticky pad, and the manual does not say anything about the rear view camera red wire.
yeah the red wire.. I’m also so confused about what to do with it.
@@kaylaparengkuan730 I believe when I was working on this, that I found that the red wire is connect to the brake light. Take that with a grain of salt.
Nice video, i got one but get stuck on loading screen! also i don't have the manual is there an app to use it? thanks
I wish someone would post a video on how to USE the dang thing. My box had a small, crappy instruction manual that did not tell you how to do anything. Since I'm stupid with electronics, I have NO idea what to do with it.
I played with it before installing.gave little charge and set date @ M and used arrows to look around and ahust@@normaforsyth7950
What is the red wire on the rear camera for?
I don't know how to turn it on please someone help 😔
How do you access the footage?
I have a mini card reader that I connect to my computer. This is the best way I get the footage
How did you get it to stick. Is there a clear plastic that you pulled off? I have messed with it and now it looks like I destroyed the red part, but still can see how to make it stick
The red part is double sticky tape and you must peel the red while leaving the sticky which is NOT easy as they don't leave a tab to pull on. I used a razor.
Do it shows you speed on it just incase your pulled over for speeding
No
My led are not working but my camera is working. Can anyone help me out
How to change 5he date and time
What is the red wire for ?
Its if you plan to connect direct to a power source in the car that you can split.
@Upgradetech thank you. Me and my wife just bought it. It read on the website it was wireless. Lol
