@@admirll2601 i just binge watched their videos and from other japanese ci channels every day for two months. Also in the first two weeks I learned hiragana and katakana using an app then ditched that app to focus on just reading subtitles on videos I already watched for practice. I also started doing anki for kanji after 2 weeks (basically right after hiragana and katakana) however some people using pure ci don’t recommend anki. Also I subscribed to the website where they have way more interesting content
@admirll2601 ikr, im at a year of quite heavy learning and still only following about half of it. but everyone learns at their own pace, your brain will absorb and internalize stuff as quickly as it's able, even if some of ours are quite slow😭. it does add up though, these days i can occasionally learn and remember new words from videos without ever seeing a translation :') my best tip is just to memorize more grammar and vocabulary as you can. the memorizing itself won't give you the ability to hear a word and innately understand it, but just having those definitions and grammar formats in your head will give you the foothold you need to start figuring out bits and pieces of sentences you listen to, which is where you really develop natural comprehension. that little bit of reference goes a long way in helping your brain find reliable context to start connecting unknowns to, and that's where actual innate understanding starts to form :')
I didn't know "egg" is tamago. The first thing that popped in my head was tamagotchi. Sure enough, tamagotchi is a portmanteau of egg and watch (for keeping time, not as in watching). The design of those little things makes a lot more sense now!
The clash between the teacher struggling to dumb things down and me struggling to keep up is palpable. Do I understand right, that the contents of the (soy sauce) bottle or the something (fish?) shavings, were not elaborated on?
she says the bottle is 醤油 (しょうゆ) which means soy sauce and says that you can put a lot or a little bit of it, but she likes just a little bit. the fish is 鰹節 (かつおぶし), which is indeed made from fish and is pretty commonly used in japanese food (和食、わしょく). She just says it's tasty (おいしい)
You don't need to go out of your way to use textbook Japanese in these videos. I think most of us would appreciate if you used real life conversational Japanese instead. It would allow us to avoid bad habits that make our Japanese sound unnatural to native speakers (like starting every sentence with 私は).
To be fair, if the rice was piping hot and the raw egg was to cook in its heat as they were mixed together, the diah would be considered cooked just like carbonara spaghetti in most western cultures as well.
Well because the egg is from japan its safe to eat raw, the rice is only warm so its not cooking it. I eat raw egg too though in stuff sometimes cause i have my own chickens and its delicious
