I don't believe in spirit worship of any kind but I believe those who do should have the right to do so and no one has right to stop them, not even Dalai Lama. Even if Shugden worship is bad, non-coercive and non-divisive method should have been used to persuade the shugden followers.
Non-coercive and non-divisive methods did not work. The Dalai Lama warned about this practice in the eighties and nineties. Sectarian lamas (a minority) and non-sectarian lamas in Gelug school.(the majority) could not agree. There had to be a division.. And once more: THERE IS NO GENERAL BAN..

Palden lhamo worship is just as superstitious. Palden Lhamo in actually Durga in Hinduism. Tibetan Buddhism is not really Buddhism. It is Lamaism. All kinds of spirits are worshipped, mostly Hindu gods and goddesses. It amazes me to see that many Tibetans in this 21st century still believe in spirits. Instead of taking action based on smart strategy and plan, tibetans are always reciting praise to dolma and chenrazig whenever something bad happens. I am sad for Tibet.
