Tye is so talented very underrated in my opinion.
The fact that he was paid so little speaks volumes..... Especially when you compare how much money that song made.... Shame on all who profited tremendously, and still didn't feel led to compensate Tye, regardless of what the initial deal was.... smh, but not surprised.

A lot of times in the music industry everyone likes to point fingers at the main artist, but don't realize they're not really in control of the decisions being made. Watching Tank's R&B money podcast is shedding a lot of light on things like this so I'm not surprised.

So, few things... Cuz you really don't wanna spread misinformation, right? The thumbnail itself is very inflammatory. From the conversation, Tye sais Timbaland paid him, and the dude "made" the beats for Cry Me a River, right? So instrumentation was on him, not Justin.
The next thing is about the description of the video. It starts mentioning Timberlake, and then changes to Timberland (when talking about Timbaland) which will create confusion.
You can tell by how many people are commenting that Justin did him dirty that many either didn't watch the video, didn't pay attention to what Tye said, or read the description and were confused by the name spellings.
Just small details that make a huge difference in keeping things honest.
Ish like this make it seems like he wrote and produced the whole song. He got paid for his part. Nobody knew the song was going to blow up like it did.

A more accurate title for this video would be "The Hook of Justin Timberlake's Cry Me A River was created by Tye Tribbett." That gives him proper recognition. Though, there's a big difference in creating a Hook and creating a song...which involves major production, writing, editing, other instrumentals , vocals etc.

Producer is like a movie director that oversees the entire song. The producer may or may not play an instrument.
Tye was what is called a "for hire musician", he didn't create the song he just played out the part and was compensated well for only playing. He didn't write the song or create the riff, he just played it.
