There you go - detain first, then figure it out.. Keep them moving & otherwise as uncomfortable as possible, so the offered services are their only option..
That big cop with the beard is very active doing his job. I was just watching a pursuit video from last night that ended up in Santa Monica. At the end of the video you could see that cop from the helicopter’s view making the arrest of the driver.
glad to see the smpd do their jobs--have not been to Venice beach because of these types of visitors smoking the dope and stuff--not good to expose my family to
@TamikoRWhite There trying to get people to stop with these shopping carts and get off the street .. Do better for themselves. It needs to stop! Think about it 🙂
@TamikoRWhite And they ain't poor... They don't need to be in the trash cans. There's food stamps government assistant and everybody knows that... They need to work/job ... Think about that too 🙂
@@sugarmama8747 I get your point. It's just so sad to this. And homelessness is growing all over America. I pray that peace, love, and compassion sweeps across America.
Why go after a poor homeless man with a shopping cart and depression along with poverty. If the poor man is on drugs, then call a case manager who can take him to a drug rehabilitation center instead of jail. The police seem so cruel cold and heartless🥺😭😞 WHERE IS SWEET DAISY?
Because the people of California made it clear they’re not tolerating lawlessness of any kind. Theft and drugs being among the many. That’s possession of a stolen property in those cost over $800.
You're being sarcastic right? Daisy is WELL KNOWN for being delusional and would be the most incompetent and ineffective police officer in existence. If they are homeless the last thing they need to be doing is hauling around stolen property and they're not even taking them to jail, you're just making that up. The city is the one that tells them what you rules to enforce anyway.
@@TamikoRWhite That's still being a possession of stolen property. No one is saying it's the crime of the century, that's why they're spending about 30 seconds per individual.
@ratherb_skating7145 I just wish the police would be more kind when approaching these poor homeless people. Many have been abused, and they are frightened when people approach them in such an authoritative manner🥺
Right because they definitely don't handle those things all the time and there's definitely a high priority call going on nearby that they're ignoring. If you're going to talk shit at least educate yourself a little
They arrest "real" and violent criminals constantly, what are you talking about? This is what the vast majority of the job looks like, if you don't like it don't be a cop. And what's cowardly or wrongful about anything they did here? If you're going to talk shit, at least have some sort of basis.
Bravo officer. Very respectful . You're appreciated
Shopping cart violation? That's a new one. Almost every bum out there on the beach has a shopping cart.
They are not bums, but rather angels with broken wings🕊🫤
Warnings, only warnings.
Yeah, it's stolen property. The city is the one telling them to enforce those rules anyway
Exactly.
Yes ever cart costs hundreds of dollars. A lost that trickles down to consumers. All theft is a cancer.
Ty officers .
They’re not doing anything heroic by catch and release
Now that there’s a new DA and a mandate from the people of California, nice to see the cops finally enforcing laws
But they’re not though
It's about time.

Yes he is but I liked him better without the full beard 😊
Party’s over.
Hey cops, what about the guy sitting on the park bench on his phone, Are you going to stop and harass him too?
The guy on the bench doesn't have a stolen shopping cart.
Where’s the pipe? Possession of drug paraphernalia not enforced? But at least the police are finding out if there any warrants.
Unfortunately paraphernalia in California is only a misdemeanor!
Pissn in the wind until remove dope source..100 fact.🤭
WOW two tyrants illegally detaining for no reason? is Calf a stop and you must id state?
When shopping carts are outlawed, only outlaws will have shopping carts ! 🤘🤪🤘❗️
Cuff city officials......thats real policing.....the governor...the mayor.......do your job.....

The shopping cart is a stolen item we pay for that
I’m impressed with the way the police handled this incident, good job boys. 👏👏👏
What incident?
last week the popo and cleanup crew threw out a costco shopping cart and crushed it in the trash truck.
Possession of stolen property is now legal in California. 🤦♂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Up to $950
@@imjustsayin6562 Is that $950 in total or just one instance of getting caught? 🤷♂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good job officers 🥰 ty
Why are you congratulating them?
They are cold, heartless, and mean to the poor🫤

Many of these poor people are not in their right mind. Some most likely have been abused and thrown away😔

Maybe the poor man found the shopping cart abandoned. And I thought Daisy was an advocate for the homeless beach community🥺
