Why over the Spurs? Honest question. Spurs have multiple first round picks till 2028, cap space and a generational player in Wemby. I dont mind the Rockers, Green has potential still, Jabari I'm cooler on (MPJ is best case scenario), Sengun I'm worried about in the playoffs due to his defense, hated the FA moves last summer amongst other things and not really seeing another star type player (Whitmore has an IT factor though).

I genuinely think Jalen Green has more natural talent than SGA. Similar.sizes but Green is far more explosive with just as crafty of a handle. His shot is just inconsistent. A consistent Jalen Green has a higher ceiling than SGA.
So it all hinges on whether Green becomes consistent. He's 22. So it's not like he doesn't have time to get there.
And then you have Sengun and Amen who arguably have changed to get to SGA level also.

I definitely like the Pistons prospects more than Hornets and Wizards. Cade is the best player. Looking like a potential top 10-15 player within the next two years. Lots of other young talent development (at least one of Ausar, Ivey, or Duren are going to be stars), they have young role players in Stew, Fontecchio, and Sasser, and they have no bad contracts on the roster. Those picks that they have arent that valuable they're mostly later rounders. Not to mention paolo has a higher ceiling than anyone on the knicks and is much younger. I like your list I think Minnesota deserves to be there over Washington if we’re talking about the next 5-7 years. First they have Anthony Edwards a player who at his ceiling is most likely a top 3 player in this league. I think that makes Minnesota a contender the next 7 years no matter what. I also think it’s gonna be hard for Washington to find that level of talent to find a legitimate top 5 player. Another reason is Jaden McDaniels and Naz Reid. These guys are young players who were awesome this year and still have room to grow and they proved it in the playoffs. There is also KAT who a lot of people hate but he is still an all star provides elite spacing and if anything they can trade him and get at least 3 first round picks and a solid player. I know the whole lack of draft picks brings them down but with this roster they will be an elite team the next 5-7 years in my opinion. Also Tim Connelly is an elite GM and will find talent in the later rounds.

The extra first round pick should pan out for the Wizards. They have a new regime, Michael Winger worked with the Clippers, including Jerry West. While it may not be a "great draft", teams such as the Wizards simply need as much talent as possible. Even if that second first rounder becomes an effective role player,it should be deemed a success,so long as other moves help dig them out of this mess,as well.

As a longtime Rockets fan, I think you’re overrating the Rocket’s future. They have a lot of high draft picks sure, but at this point, we have a pretty good idea of what these players are going to become and they’re not the level you’d expect from a top draft pick. It’s clear at this point that neither Jalen nor Sengun are the type of player who can win the Rockets a ring. They simply aren’t that good and they’re not going to get much better. Plus they have some major flaws to their game with Jalen’s inefficiency and Sengun’s defense and spacing. Jabari is not that guy either. Amen may be good, but it’s also a coin toss with him and he has his own major flaws. The only two core players without major weaknesses are Tari Eason and Cam Whitmore but they don’t have a viable path to stardom. The Rockets have no choice but to stay the course with this core. But honestly, I can definitely see a scenario where they’re just a middling team for a long long time. Rockets honestly had a bad lottery luck. If they just won the lottery in any of the past years or even if they could have just moved up one spot in the draft, they would have their star by now. But instead all they have is a bunch of high level role players who will command big money.

I guess it depends on how we're defining future.
Boston- Jrue doesn't have many years left. Porzingus is always injured. Outside of Tatum, Brown, White they don't have much looking deeper into the future. No high ceiling youth.
OKC- yeah, they are probably ahead.
NYK- the roster right now? I don't think so. They are set up to be a mid seed for the next 5 years or so. They have no high ceiling young players.
Spurs- They have no one other than Wemby and Vassell. Even with the 2 firsts this year they have a long way to go.
Rockets have Sengun, Smith, Whitmore, Thompson all 21 & under and Eason and Green are 23 & under. Plus they add another lottery pick this year. They are so loaded for the future it's insane.

@@thebohr11 I agree the rockets have good young players but that doesn’t mean they are all going to come together and be a future top team. @@YourWorstNightmare3333 bro idk I think you can make a case for either team to be on top but it’s definitely not as big of a gap as you say. I think you should take the blue tinted glasses of and stop being so fanatic about it.
Maybe Magic have more top level talent in Paolo and Fanz but in any other aspect Rockets clear the Magic. Their core is so much deeper and has much more potential. And who is to say that someone like Amen Thompson or even Sengun or green wont end up being better than P5 or Franz. P5 definitely has some questions to answer next season.
Even this year Magic may have made the playoffs but they still only had 6 wins more than the rockets in a much weaker conference. So yeah I think even this year these teams where about equally as good and Houston to me has just much more upside. So yeah, I think the take in the video is very valid.

@@JK-kj2ok I can guarantee you none of them will be better than Paolo, don’t make me laugh. They got carried by vets. More potential? They don’t even know who their best player is, Amen Thompson LOL. Amen will be never be a scoring threat in this league. Here we go again with the conferences. Rockets were 13-17 against the East. They still wouldn’t make the playoffs. Have you seen the reports they want to trade for a superstar now?? It just VALIDATES what I think their young core is MID. Even their GM knows it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Memphis was probably the toughest team to rank.
      1) I love Ja’s game and think he’s good enough to be a 1A on a title team. Although, his off court problems in the last 24 months does make me question his availability similar to Zion with NOLA
      2) I don’t think they have a true number 2 guy. I like Bane, JJJ took a step forward but both are third options in my opinion
      3) I don’t know what their plan is at center at all. Free agency or the draft could solve my concerns there
      4) something I’ve believed for a long time is that they have a Jaren Jackson Jr problem. I don’t think you can win with him being a 4. I think you can’t win with him being a 5

Offensive limitations. It’s what Dallas went thru with Porzingis. Smaller teams will just switch all the Ja-JJJ ball screens. If he’s a 5 you have a spacing advantage but a massive rebounding disadvantage. He’s a good player, but a hard one to win with at the highest level imo
