- Soulo Winter Wild Camping with Tips for Beginners & Black Ice 700 Budget Winter Sleeping Bag !
I needed to hit the hills so headed out on an impromptu wild camp to one of my favourite locations, which has the added benefit of being not too far away.
A very cold forecast, with icy winds throughout the night and temperatures plunging below zero from late afternoon. The wind chill effect brought things down to double minus figures. I was nice and warm, using a new budget down winter sleeping bag, which should hopefully cater for more varied budgets. Clear skies as night fell made for an atmospheric and relaxing winter camp, more great memories made. I have tried to give a few tips to people who are just starting out in this video and I hope you find it useful, a list to some of the gear I have used is below.
Thank you for watching, enjoy our Great Outdoors and always leave no trace.

The Christmas season is rough if you are dealing with family/personal issues. Hang in there Chris, there are better times on the horizon. Cheers! Thanks as always for the video.
Cheers Adam - appreciate it. Hopefully get a few more camps in and bring on the snow before Christmas! 🎄🌨️
I love watching you, forget about the negative people, they don't deserve you, keep doing what you like.
Thanks Sharon, very kind of you to say - appreciate your support, Chris 👍
Another cracking video pal. Sorry to hear you had some negative feedback from your excellent last camp. It was a perfect opportunity to show less experienced wild campers what can happen with quality equipment. You know that you are never going to be beyond your comfort zone.
That's all that matters!! Your channel is realistic and educational for subscribers.
Looking forward to the next one.😊👍👍
Cheers Ali, appreciate your comment. All part and parcel sadly, I don't mind when things are constructive, but most keyboard warriors are unable to do that - so I just block them from being able to comment again. ATB and thanks for watching 👍
Chris I always say never judge a book by its cover, love your videos and inspiration, stay safe
Thanks pal - and very wise words! ATB, Chris
Why would anyone make negative comments about you, or anyone else doing all this stuff? I've missed those comments but if to do with ending up at Sykeside, unbelievable. Haven't been for years but still my favourite site. I love contrasting you and that bloke with a hound during Arwen. There's never a right or wrong, there's always safety and possibly comfort too. Love this chilled (!) hill film. I only watch 3 of you, 3 and a hound, too much data loss already! Late comments on a film from a while ago but I'm still catching up. Keep them coming please, thanks. Malcolm.
Thanks for the kind words Malcolm, much appreciated - ATB, Chris
ooh a single malt-yum-my tip for this is to put the bottle under your armpit to warm it up -brings out the flavours-thank you for sharing your adventures much appreciated xxx
Any excellent tip which I shall be partaking in on my next camp - thank you and thanks for watching 👍
Hi Chris, don't worry about other peoples negative comments....beautifull wintery camp 💝.........😊💝🏴 Xxxx
Cheers Paula, was great as always to be back out doing what I love! ATB, Chris x
Always remember YOU are the only one that can make YOU happy So go for it!!!
Cheers Sharon, life has certainly thrown a monumental challenge my way - I'm working on it 👍 ATB
That’s what I do to escape from everything and clear my head. Take care
Cannot beat it mate - thanks for watching! ATB
Absolutely love this video MCM Big thanks! There's a very subtle undertone I can connect with that runs deep. Much love to you pal
Thanks Danny - appreciate your support of the channel - top man 👍
Cheers for another year of great videos & content. I hope things look up soon.
Cheers pal, thanks for watching and ATB!
Loved it Chris ,,,, I know that wall as well as you and it’s so lovely to be there again , every time you get up there it’s just so full of memories for me , ,,,,, all our love from france ,,, and yes this time of year can be a little tough ,,, stay cool and keep em coming … x
Cheers guys - much appreciated and thank you 👍

Fantastic video Chris. 👍

Thanks for taking us along Chris, I hope whatever it is does not overwhelm you, there's always people out there to talk to. Always great to see other peoples gear and techniques :)
Thanks David, appreciated. ATB and have a great Christmas 👍
Interesting and informative. Christmas can be the worst time of year if things are not going well but nature is always there - the great comforter. Ice on your walls of your tent… took me back to when I was a child and we used to get ice on the inside of our windows. Pre - central heating brrrr!
Can't beat an icy tent - sign of a good camp ! :) Thanks for watching Felicity - have a good Christmas
Thanks for sharing Chris .
Same here 2021 has been shite.
Let's hope 2022 is better ATB mate 👍
Here's hoping. Thanks for watching Stevie 🤞🍻👍
A great video again Chris. That looked so cold and very Icy some stunning views . Thanks for sharing. 😊👍🙏

No worries Deb, great to be out in the colder weather 😊👍
Chris, every video of yours have I have ever watched you mention that you have some things bringing you down in your personal life. I hope you can get them resolved and find closure. There are a lot of subscribers to your channel that are sending love and positivity your way.
Cheers David - unfortunately over almost 2 years, that has been the case. I'm a big believer in the outdoors and all the benefits it brings - ATB and appreciate the support - Chris
Another great video Chris, keep your chin up 👍
Thanks Stuart - appreciate you taking the time to comment 👍
Great wild camp looks like same spot I was pitched in February this year. I had a very still cold night clear sky's with some snow in the morning. Good kit reviews 👌
Thanks Gary - a great spot - ATB, Chris
Great Video again Chris. Thanks.
No worries Si, thanks for tuning in 👍
Another great video Chris. Chin up mate keep going we are all behind ya👍
Thanks Phil, have a good Christmas pal 👍
Great vid. That was my first solo camp spot, a very mystical place. The good times are always passing away but so are the bad. All the best mate.
A lovely spot mate, thanks for watching 👍
Nice chilled reset camp ! Can see that you enjoyed vey much Chris. Been trying to get one of these pouches for ages now from valley & peak, but there always bloody sold out when i check. Really hope you can enjoy your christmas buddy aside from any personal challenges you are facing. Life really does test us at times and i know for me I miss my dad all the time, but especially over his Christmas birthday… i do know he’s with me all the time… looking over me and my kids. But just as every day ends a new day starts with the potential to better than the last. Take care buddy. Stay safe and wish you well my friend. Mark 👍
Very true Mark - have a good Christmas and I hope you fit in some great outdoor adventures - ATB, Chris
Great video. Always appreciate the tips & advice. Thanks & cheers 🍻
Cheers Ted - hope you guys are good over there 👍
An excellent informative video mate! Simple!
Cheers Al, thanks for watching !
Good stuff Chris, it is my favourite seasons autumn and winter to camp. You did us proud out in those freezing temperatures pal.
Cracking affordable sleeping bag that too, I desperately need a lighter option 4 season bag. Always a pleasure to watch your winter videos pal.
Nice one Ant, hopefully we can get a few winter trips in. It's my favourite time to go too, can't beat it. Thank you for watching mate 👍🍻
That series of shots when you first get in you Soulo were so good.
Glad you enjoyed it Chris - mother nature always speaks for itself 👍
She certainly does - don’t hide your light under a bushel 😎
😁👍🍻
fantastic vid mate. hope to see you up there one day soon. my local mountain. take great inspiration from these videos 👍

Great to see you in Ambleside today. Hope you’ve had a cracking day.
Great to meet you mate - we can grab a pint next time! Hope you guys enjoyed your stay in the Lakes - ATB
@@MCMOutdoors It was our last day, but we still had a great time despite the traditional Lakeland weather.😁
Keep on pumping these vids out really helps me
Great to hear Stephen and I will do - lot's in the back catalogue to keep you going too - take it easy and get out into our Great Outdoors - ATB, Chris
@@MCMOutdoors your welcome
Mate, Im off work at the mo, will come and see you for a brew when I get back (in the new year). Keep wild camping and producing these great videos. Oh I love a good slipper, essential footwear for me!
Cheers pal, I've been off myself for personal reasons - can't beat slippers and a brew! ATB pal
Great video, really enjoy how you portray a calm and relaxed feel to camps! Excellent production.. ATB 🤙🏻
Thanks for watching pal - glad you enjoyed, have a good Christmas.
Lots of great tips there Chris. And a cracking night out again. Fantastic video. Take care over the festive season and looking forward to your next uploads over the winter. Cheers, W :)
Thanks pal, it's keeping me going so here's hoping for some more. Glad you enjoyed this one 👍😊
Some really clear and useful advice here along with the usual beautiful scenery around Pendle.
As others have said, Christmas can be very tough for lots of people for lots of reasons. Great to see you making the best of it and doing what makes you happy.
Cheers Chris.
Nice one Stuart - it certainly can be and it's great to have that appreciation that others can be in very different situations. The outdoors is great - get out and enjoy it and all the benefits it brings - ATB pal
Thank you for sharing a very informative video and inspiration to get out myself.
Been a long time since I did any camping but I'm going to get into it next year for my own wellbeing.
I can see it's helping you through a difficult time and I wish you the very best.
The encouragement is much appreciated
Cheers, the outdoors is a great help at the moment...... Being outdoors is very mindful, taking in all the sights and sounds - along with the physical exercise aspect - the benefits are great. Thanks for watching and ATB!
Watching you in that tent made me feel very cold I take blood thinning tablets and I feel cold a lot more than others, I like to hike in the winter but tend to keep moving so as to keep warm. but good video Chris as was the last in the storm force winds.
Cheers pal, was a chilly one but great as always - ATB, Chris
Cracking camp again Chris stay safe 👍
Nice one Dan, ATB pal
Fantastic night out in the hills mate. Such contrast in 2 weekends, but both great experiences. 👍🍻
Cheers man, was epic - very cold air temperature up there - bring on some more snow and ice! Thank you for watching and ATB, Chris
@@MCMOutdoors Definitely hoping for some epic snow and ice this winter. 🤞❄
Enjoyed the video mate hope things were good over the last few days. ATB Marti
ATB Marti, thanks for watching 🎄
Top video and I really enjoyed it. Brought a couple new winter items so hopefully Ill get out soon.
ATB ❤
Thanks Dave 👍 hope you enjoy your new bits of kit and get out soon, ATB - Chris
Really enjoyed that Chris 👍. Hadn’t realised how eye wateringly expensive the all season sleeping bags are 😂, think when I finally get a wild camp in it will be summer months initially, liking those down slippers too 👍👍🙂
Nice one Rob, there are some more budget friendly options out there. I'll be covering this in an upcoming video 👍
Brilliant video mate, full of advice for us novices, best wishes to you
Cheers Mike - hey were all just novices and we're always learning aren't we - ATB pal
Great vid!!
Cheers Fiona, glad you enjoyed it 👍😊
I love the winter camps its more survival than summer your knowedge is unreal your becomeing a must watch for me .getting them pegs out in the ice what about carrying a mini shorhead screwdriver ded small but a fat knob so you can break ice round and light
Good suggestion Mark and thanks very much for your comment. Glad you find the vids useful pal, ATB - Chris
Great camp I was out Saturday in the lakes it was snowy and pretty chilly.some great tips winter camping is a challenge compared to 3 season camping.i like those pouches I normally use my insulated food pouch.ive got some down socks there great.the delta ground anchors are great they hold so well.
The pouches are great yes, as are the ground anchors! Thanks for watching Craig, ATB 👍
Hi Chris. Watched you & Al @Bushman doing your Q&A and so glad I then found your channel. Looking forward to catching up on your videos. So impressed to hear you deal with those who couldn’t be constructive on a previous video. I like you already 🙂👍
Thanks mate, yes - if people are unable to so that, they're just out to put others down - so they just get instantly blocked from the channel 👌
Nice one Chris 👍. Regards the idiots I have no patience for them BDF. Block, delete, forget.
Cheers Dave - was quite surprised at some of the things I heard and from some of the people dishing out their unwarranted criticism.... Always an eye opener, but like you I just block them on the whole. They say those that can, do - those that can't, criticise. Hope you're well mate - take it easy pal 👍
Another great video Chris up your local jaunt minus the witches. Great tips and I think I might invest in some of those ground anchors for the 4 main corners. Thanks for sharing your experience and the importance of getting out and mire importantly safely. Cheers fella and keep up the good work.
Thanks Andrew, the ground anchors are very useful - will always use them in strong winds now. ATB, Chris
I have tried many pairs of socks and I can recommend for longevity, comfort... in all temperatures and value, bridgedale summit socks I don't know if they renamed them to heavyweight summit merino endurance or something but they are around £20.. Worth every penny best socks I have ever had I have quite a few pairs and you can wear them in summer or winter it doesn't matter, they're still as comfortable and breathable and cushioned as a sock could ever be
Great tip, I will check that out as I am in need of a winter pair - mine are for summer use so need something warmer - ATB, Chris
@@MCMOutdoors Really good socks are often overlooked and it makes allthe difference, yes £20 plus on a single pair sounds alot but you get what you pay for and in the long run, you save
Hi Chris.. Only just catching up with social media and RUclips. Firstly, you did the right thing regarding negative comments.. Cracking video with great hints and tips for winter camping up on the fells. You chose a good spot and hope you had fantastic star views. Keep your chin up mate and carry on regardless. Just have fun. Love a single malt myself, I'm no expert but do like a wee dram 😁 Look forward again to your next video 👍 brilliant content as useual. 😁
Cheers Mike - much appreciate and value your support mate! ATB
I like that you have removed the subcribers that have given you negative comments!
Very positive, it's the way forwards, and looking at the other comments I think the majority are with you, carry on!
Hi Steve, I'm pretty sure they're not subscribers - to be clear, I don't have any issue with constructive feedback, rather with 'trolling' / abusive comments - so I simply block those users who wish to take part in such things as this channel is a positive place for positive people to share our enjoyment of the Great Outdoors 👍
@@MCMOutdoors Apologies to subscribers!
Anyway we all know you're a genuine top bloke, so bollocks to em!
👌🍻👍
Nice to see you out Chris, quality content as always👍
Thanks Dave, great to be out as always! 👍
Nice one…. Can’t wait to get out again this winter unfortunately that won’t be until January for me 👎🏻 I thought your last videos were educational and very informative for those that maybe don’t have the winter experience behind them yet, never mind block and delete!! Interesting you have just started using deltas I have actually just stopped using mine and reverted back to double pegging. ATB 👍🏻
Nice one Luke, yeah I will see how I get on with the Deltas, liking them in my limited experience of them so far - let's see how they go! ATB, Chris
Looked another good camp Chris, nice cold and crisp, I need to get out more. Let's hope next year has a better outlook for you mate ATB 👍
Nice one Phil, here's hoping pal! Let's all get out again soon 👍🍻
@@MCMOutdoors sounds like a plan 👍
Great winter camp...☃️ seaweed 🤣 I howled at that one, blinking hilarious that was. But whisky 🤮 nooo I had a testing time with it many a moon ago! Can't even stand the smell of it now ...but seaweed 😆🤣😆.. those slippers look real cozy..id have kept them on in those temperatures all night! That ice was crazy, hope the tent dried off OK after. 👍
Haha! Defo a seaweed smell to it! 😁 Was great to get back out - I did sleep with the slippers on 👍 v cosy! Thanks for watching Jane - tent is still hanging in the loft! ATB
@@MCMOutdoors Definitely great to be out & in the cold crisp air, even better with ❄ 😊.I forgot to say I use some pegs when I camp on the sand, much the same as yours only they have a longer stem and nothing moves them! They are designed for sand and earth.. 4 in a pack,I got them when they were on offer buy 2 get 1 free.£ 4 to 5 a pack depending on store. Take care ☃️
Top tip Jane! Thanks - I'll have a nose and I'm sure others will find that useful! Cheers 👍
Good to see you back at it bro. Sorry to hear about personal issues, things always get better for good people so keep your content coming as it gives you that release of being in the wild and clearing the fog and keep your chin up.
Nice to see all the primo gear back out btw. I'm a gear tart so I dismiss everything negative people say about expensive gear, started with crap and worked my way up thank to vids like these.
Keep your chin up dude and remember these tough times are making you a tougher person.
Look forward to seeing more content from you bro as you seem so passionate about it.
Nice one Jay, appreciate the kind words mate. I've built my way up over many years gear wise - it's how we learn. I still have bits from when I started out, including an old Petzl headlamp with huge battery's, my original Buff from when I was 14 years old one Christmas off my folks and my first proper jacket when I was 18, a Berghaus Mera Peak! ATB mate
@MCM Outdoors mera peak 🤦♂️ the scals coat from back in the day bro. You're gonna tell us it was the blue and yellow one next. Used to see the rats knocking about the city in them haha. Hope the next year brightens up for you.
Hahaha! That's the one - Ellis Brigham on Bold St! 🤣 Better than the black North Face and Under Armour costume of today 😁
Another great video Chris xxxx the haters 👏 keep up the good work.
Indeed mate - thanks for watching pal 👍
Great video Chris, full of hints and tips. It looked a cold one mate but nice having good kit to keep you warm. I might have a look at the the Nordisk blanket. Keep your chin up mate, we’re all wishing you the best and hope things improve soon. ATB
Thanks very much Joe - it's appreciated. Enjoy the run up to Christmas mate 🎄👍
Always look forward to your videos Chris. They are very honest and informative. I will never understand why some folk have to be so negative in their comments.. I'll put it down to them being jealous i suppose.
Love the gear youre using mate and I'm so tempted to get out and do a winter camp again.. its been a while.
Great video. Hope youre personal life picks up mate. Youre a good bloke.
Thanks Martyn, glad you enjoy the vids mate and I appreciate your support - ATB, Chris 👍
Good stuff Chris hopefully you got over your last camp. We were over there cheviots with Eddie Scotswildcamper and Andy Wardell had a fantastic time but cold. All good fun though mate . Cheers Chris nice one 👍🥶🍻🥾🏕
Looked like you lads had a great craic up there! Thanks for checking in Alan, ATB pal
I hope I am not stepping on any toes by mentioning this, but sometimes I think your channel should be called the "C Outdoors". You put in such hard work and put out so many beautiful videos!
Thanks pal, Michael is a new Dad and Matt has two young boys too - they also both have wives 🤣 so they are struggling for time lately, unlike me. Thank you for watching pal 👍
@@MCMOutdoors On another quick note. I really like how how encourage people to go out wild camping. As for me, being a female living in the U.S. it's not as safe to solo wild camp as it is s in the UK. I do watch other females solo wild camp in the UK and I get really envious!!
@@bmarie8939 I hope you maybe build up to it then and fingers crossed for you 🤞👍
great vid Chris, a do me fare share winter camps. a tryed alpkit 900 skyhi. sleeping bag was impressed
Nice on Jason, you reccomend that bag then?
@@MCMOutdoors yes mate . got rab hybrid which is good aswell.
Nice vid Chris 👍
Thanks pal, ATB
Great to see you back out again Chris and haters always gonna hate...we all make decisions we believe are ok at the time its called 'learning from them' when they don't turn out as expected. Do like the look of that Yeti so maybe a Christmas present there for myself, just need to hide it from the better half 😁
Cracking extra layer of insulation that! Packs down tiny and weighs next to nothing - well worth it! (You could say you've won it in a competition 🤣)
Enjoyed the video again Chris, this is home turf for me,everytime I climb this iconic hill,I feel it's part of me.
As kids we used to climb it regularly and have our jam butties and corporation 'pop' on the summit, happy days M8
The views on a clear day are absolutely fantastic.
Some great little nuggets and tips in there.
Keep your chin up lad and all the best for Chrimbo.🎅🙂👍
Sounds like some great memories there Michael - that's what its all about. Have a great Christmas
Doublewood is lovely 😍 great vid mate
Thanks for taking us out with you - and for the gear tips. Appreciate that your 'outdoors videos' are not full-on gear review vids - good balance, there. Having said that, sat here with freezing toes, I was waiting for you to tell us that those Down Bootees were brilliant! Ah well, just have to get me 'sen off to the Nordisk site and take a punt, eh?
Thanks Barry - great those down slippers! First time using them and really great value too - thanks for watching pal 👍
good to know, @@MCMOutdoors - thx for the reply.
well done , good on you , things happen to the best of us the difference is how you over come disaster , and you have the experience behind you . excellent content Chris keep up the great work , Happy Xmas M8 .

Thanks for another great video Chris! Winter camping is fantastic if you are prepared and use the right gear.
Sorry to hear you have another tough Christmas coming up. I wish you a merry one! Things will be better in the future I am sure mate!
Thank you - I really enjoy the winter camps - best time of year I think - ATB and have a good Christmas
Another fantastic vid Chris as always, thanks. Your hints and tips are always welcome and very helpful. I'm not a winter camper (yet lol) but should I change my mind then I'll also buy a pair of those gloves, they look really good. Chin up as well Chris and take care 👍🏕❄
Thanks Donna, I'm sure you'll get into winter camping! Those gloves are very warm indeed! Thank you for your kind support of the channel too 😊👍🍻
Great video, thanks for sharing. The clear skies were beautiful!
Sorry you’re still battling through the personal stuff - tough time of year for it. {hug}
I was curious about your gloves - I have bad circulation, so always on the lookout for a better pair - can you share more details of them please?
Thanks Dave - the gloves are ace - they were on sale in Cotswold Outdoor a few years back - Hestra "Njord" - the wool lining is very warm, I keep them in good shape using wax on them too - hopefully increase the longevity - but they are very good in winter and very warm. ATB, Chris
Nice one Chris! Your location was the site of my very first wild camp. Loved it. Got to say, I was a bit worse for wear after climbing those steps. Totally worth it though. All the very best mate.
The steps of doom Alan, some days I'm blowing my way up them, other times I'm fine - they're a great work out though! A superb location for those that know - one to be looked after. ATB and take it easy mate.
Another good video Chris. Delta do a peg puller, personally I carry a small bush knife good for levering. Belting DELTA anchors. Well staid about the unwelcome comments. 😄
Cheers Pete, might check out the peg puller as I'd worry about ruining the blade on my knife? Thanks for your comment pal and ATB
For anyone wanting to start getting out and about on a budget all I'll say is eBay will be your friend because that's where I got my old Vango force ten mk1 fw which is essentially a smaller version of a tent that took a Brit to the top of Everest way back when and accounting for inflation it'd be a £480+ tent, it'll be taken on the hills when the weather clears up because I need a nice clear dark winter sky and please try laphroaig 10 scotch trust me it's different
Top tips Dave - those tents are legendary! As for the Laphroaig, my Dad is a big fan of that - I'll have to raid his supplies - ATB pal 👌👍
Great to see you back out again Chris, you will always get negative comments down the line mate,, excellent vid very informative for people learning. Try to keep your spirits up and thank you for sharing as always 👍
Cheers Bryce, ATB and have a good Christmas 👍
Hello fella, great content as usual and some handy tips for noobs like me who still haven't managed to get out for his first wild camp yet. Keep your chin up, it's tough but keep going and it will get better. All the best mate👍
Cheers mate! Appreciate it 👌👍
I was LOL when that car slowing started to catch you up! never heard of Black Ice before but looking at the specs, should real do the job and one thing for sure, on a camp in that type of weather, you do need a big pack to get in the warmth and protection you need to survive the night in comfort. Loved the insulator pouches (never previously heard of them), as the cold destroys GoPro Batteries, no matter when I put them on my person, so I will be looking into that, although not keen on the puffy one, unless it means it is more warmer! Food looked and sounded nice but Reindeer stew sounded a different level to me, I would have enjoyed to have tried that, no so on drinking TCP mind. You could see how cold it was but good to hear you were toasty in the tent and bag. Cheers Alan
Haha, I bet he was swearing at me in his cab 🤬🤣 we had a laugh when he went passed and he said he hopes he's on camera! Insulated pouches are superb and definitely keep the battery drain to a more minimal level! The budget bag is great and may hopefully cater to people looking for something more friendly on the wallet! Great to see your gear packing vid earlier mate - you certainly manage to go lighter than me. Take it easy mate, ATB - Chris
Cheers Chris for another great video 2nd Christmas for us you just can’t get away from it seems to go on for months take care mate 🙏🙏
You too pal..... Thanks for watching 👍
Great video again Chris well done mate. I know it's hard as im in a similar situation to yourself and this will be my 3rd Christmas but things can only get better right 😁👍. I'm hoping to get out over the Christmas brake so will see how that go's!
Keep it up mate your doing good 👍
Ah mate, I can only imagine. Take it easy and get out and enjoy the Great Outdoors 👌👍
Mathew Possa camps in two foot of snow with a tarp, and we think we need a four season bomber tent to do the same. I sometimes wonder if we should learn to endure instead of attempting to take our home into the hills.
I fully understand we don't need a lot to survive out there - I just like to have a bit of comfort rather than turn it into an endurance session - but it's good to test ourselves on occasion and know that we can if it came to it. Thanks for watching & ATB 👍
Great video and well presented. Thanks for showing us how it’s done!. Btw, what gloves are you wearing? They look good. Thanks.
Thanks pal, gloves are "Njord" made by Hestra. ATB, Chris
@@MCMOutdoors Thanks. Do they keep hands warm enough in extreme temperatures or are they used more for handling objects, ie wood chopping etc
Very warm in cold temps with the lining as I mentioned 👍
tip top vid, as per!
Cheer Dan! Glad you enjoyed it mate - have a good one, Chris 👍
Didn't really see the issue with the Kirkstone Pass video mate.
You had a look up there, made a decision (the right one) and headed down in daylight to a safer place. Big deal.??
Enjoyed this one mate. Keep yer chin up pal :-)
Well..... Me neither really - not sure how some people cross the road! 😂 Thanks for watching this, was great to be back out and at it! ATB, Chris
Hi Chris
Thanks again for another video 👍 they've been really helpful, I'm in the middle of my ml consolidation and it's really good to see other people's experiences with wild camping. I'm off to have a go at the bob graham round next weekend over 3 days which will be tough but this has inspired me.....
Ps I'm not sure about your taste in beer though 😆 but I'd recommend you warm your whisky up to room temperature to get the best flavour out of it and maybe a wee bit of water, like 1/2 teaspoon..
Thanks again Andy
Cheers, good luck on the Bob Graham Round - enjoy! 👌👍☃️
Can only echo the other comments about keeping positive at this time of year, whatever the situation. Easier said than done as always but hope the circle around you are keeping you up when the chips are down 🙏. Great video as always, super tips too. Must check out Salt beers asap. They always look great! Keeping my fingers crossed for some snow with you for the snow camps! 👌 ATB Chris! ❄️❄️❄️

The reassuring sound of a zipped up tent..
Can't beat that noise! Thanks for watching pal
Nice one mate.... such a cool spot u got there.... hope u do some livestreams with the guys over xmas period... just one point and of course you dont wanna get oil spatters over ya hilleburg... but what i love about winter is the fact fact ur vestibule is a fridge (or freezer) so you can take loads of fresh meat and ingredients(possibly for a full english breakfast or legendary bacon roll)for breakfast after them winter nights to soak up them beers etc ATB bud (edit) i like the cold camps so i can take real food and the summer ones i cant incase it spoils.. :)
Good shout mate! And yes, I need to move on from those breakfast bars 🍳😊👍
Sorry for your worries bro🙏. Just keep in mind that not everyone who's unable to be around over the festive period actually, has a personal choice in that regard. While you put them first, and rightly so, a chap needs to remember that you need to take care of yourself in order to take care of others. 🙏👍
Wise words mate indeed, thanks for watching pal 👍
@@MCMOutdoors life can be a shitsack at times chap. The best way I can think of evolving healthily is to live your own life well and show folk what you're made of too. 👍👍
