    I once worked in an office where every new employee was given a small canvas to paint. They were displayed in a long hallway. With so many people coming and going at Project Camp, it would be nice to have each person make a plaque or sign that gets hung up somewhere. They could include details on what they worked on during their stay. It would be a nice community building idea.

    If you water in the evening the sun won't evaporate the water and it will save you a bit of water, love following you guys ☺️

      @mowtow90 2 года назад +52

      The problem is not evaporation. You can atually kill the roots if you watter durring a verry hot day (you pretty much boil them). I actually killed quite a few plants both at home and my grandmother's garden until she told me to only watter during early monring or eavning.

    Our Monday dose of Project Kamp gives us a jolt of energy, enthusiam and hope for the future that will get us thru the rest of the week. You're the antidote to the tsunami of crap that is the hallmark of the modern world.
    Love the sense of spreading out from Base Camp into the living ecosystem and creating paths to each piece of infrastructure. The Sketchy Ruin has a lot of potential, and it has already survived a previous forest fire. Seems very smart to restore it to ongoing usefuless with an eye towards a renovated, somewhat fireproof structure.
    A pleasure watching the whole community at work. Well done people!

    Just an FYI. Try laying a tarp(s) down and throw the cut bush and tree debris on it then drag it to the open space rather than making lots of wheelbarrow trips. Depending on the situation of course.

    Do you have any clay on the property?
    Those mimosa trees you have so many of make for pretty good supports for a clay-based wall or roof; they're thin enough that you can pack clay arund them, and thick enough to hold some weight without sagging too much. Look at the huts they make in Africa , plenty of those use even thinner trees.

    On the whole project: Just WOW!!!
    My deepest respect! This is the most useful thing to do at these times!!!
    What I appreciate is the role model you are producing with all the personal and scientifical documentation.
    Thank you so much for that!
    This is the real life science we need so much which I hope will become more and more to make living on planet earth sustainable and enjoying for everyone in harmony in symbiosis with nature.
    Concerning the watering, a steady dripping system would be the best way to keep the soil wet without needing to do a lot watering by hand which is alot of work and isnt really as effective as the dripping system.
    Less water needed, less work to do, plants grow better and faster.
    Wish you all the best and that progress is continuing as awesome as it is right now.
    Definitely found a new series to watch, am curious how season 2 ends and looking forward to what season 3 will bring. 😁
