Appetite For Destruction is a top 5 all time album for me. I saved up my pocket money as a kid and bought it on cassette!
I was 9. My friends and I would listen to it on our walkmans and rewind the swear words HAHA!
We were obsessed and had the classic original t shirts.
Still sounds as exciting and remarkable to me now as it did then. Some of the best playing and drum sounds ever recorded IMO.
Steven Adler had a major impact on how I approach composing and thinking about drum parts. Less is more. Focus on the song. Play in the pocket.
Of course I am blinded by nostalgia but... it's a masterpiece!
Reliving my youth with this album. Rocket Queen is my favorite, looking forward to it.

Hello from New England...Yes Yes and Yes..I infact buried that song..That groove goes on for miles..Steven Adler really shows his funky side..Duff the bassist has said in interviews that there was stuff he and Steven had jammed on and recorded around the APPITITE ERA that they never brought to the band because it had super funk-vibes that wouldn't have fit with the bands stripped down balls to the wall unadulterated RocknRoll sound..Thx for doing these vids Andrew...Peace..

Q.E.D really it's not all that complicated. Not that I read music. I learn by ear. Keep playing it till it feels right and your not missing a kick beat or anything simple like that. I absolutely love playing to Pretty tied up by GnR and alot of pearl jam and chilly peppers, fun loving criminals, macy gray and many more.
