Expensive?
Compared to other countries, Denmark is expensive, but wages here are also alot higher, so if you go to Denmark for work, it's no problem, if you're a tourist on the other hand, prices might be a little rough.
I'd recommend when going to Denmark, to find some locals to stay with.
As a Dane I don't eat out often, or stay at hotels etc.
These things are very expensive.
If you stay with locals, you can save a ton of money, as well as get to know some of the locals better, and maybe experience Danish culture and cuisine more intimately.

Ah, the Danes. Great country, beautiful funny people who know exactly who they are and where they come from. They have real confidence in themselves, and Germany should emulate them.

The most brilliant thing you do is your banks insisting that people need to have money to buy a house, as opposed to Denmark and other countries where no down payment and interest only loans have made housing prices insane and is going to break us soon.
Germany's economic policy of imposing austerity on the eurozone has lead to a prolonged recession, and is a tragedy for the poorer countries of southern europe, whose economies were contracted irreversibly as a result. The debt in southern europe resulted from a lowering of interest rates for loans in countries which joined the euro, leading to the accumulation of unpayable debts in these countries. This was an insane economic idea which was advocated for political reasons, in the hope that more centralization of power (i.e. transfer of Greek/Italian/Spanish/Irish democratic institutions to Brussels/Frankfurt), would follow. Their economic policies look responsible but actually they are set up to benefit Germany to the detriment of the rest of the EU. They are also starting to hurt Germany's economy, which partially depends on exports to these countries for growth. Also, Germany bailed out their banks, which meant that the debt held by those banks (irresponsibly acquired, in order to gain collateral for their borrowing) was transferred to the German people, and then this ridiculous idea that the Germans are helping out the irresponsible Greeks by 'bailing them out' under austerity conditions which mire them in deeper and deeper debt is propagated. It isn't true that German banks insisted loans needed to be repayable - exactly the opposite is true, which is why they needed to be bailed out.

That is true, a nation that can poke fun at itself is one that is comfortable with itself, but the impression I get is that they're only doing it in this instance because they're upset over the media response. It got to them, to the point they felt the need to create this. I think a sign of greater confidence would have been no response at all. They bit.
