Great questions and even better answers because it's coming from experience! Keep explaining it the way you are, if we miss something, we'll just replay it, thanks John! Good stuff!
Finally found you from seeing you on Justin Rhodes channel. So glad to find your channel to get a real idea on how to work and start making money on a farm. Thank you!
So in the summer when do you feed to avoid the chickens there metabolic peak being in the heat of the day? I have a covered area - pasture area with trees on 3 sides would that help with the over heating. Any impact on their growth?
Thank you for the information. This fall is my first batch of broilers. I wasn't prepared because my neighbor gave them to me because her son brought them home from school.
John, Do you soak your feed? I have seen documents that you get better consumption and less loss. Have you used spent grain from your brewery to feed either your chickens or other livestock?
John, i full feed also. For the same reasons. Less wing damage from fighting. Better growth rate. More pounds in less days. Although i do ajust protein on how fast they are growing. If i see Flip i process right away. (I do my own wich helps. I know. )
Its a comition meat birds get becuse they non stop eat usally when they get into the finay weeks. They will sit in frount of the feeder and eat until they Flip over on there back and die from heart atack and die. You will know becuse there belly will be purple.
What % protein do you feed your broilers? Do you feed the same feed start to finish? We have been feeding 24% start to finish but we are getting alot with ascites and heart attacks this year. Thank you.
Very HELPFUL 👍 WHAT IN YOUR EXPERIENCE WOULD YOU SAY IF I HAVE ONE INCH BY 1 INCH CHICKEN WIRE AND MOST PLACES ON MY "INDOOR" Chicken run, and henhouse, over a concrete slab where the concept is a cage of one by one chicken wire completely surrounding the chickens and doubled up to make it only half inch by half inch..... As well as going over the top and also besides being fenced in on the top having a wooden roof framed over the top with asphalt shingles for waterproof.... I know what you're thinking it sounds like fort Knox for chickens, BUT I STILL HAVE A FEELING THERE ARE OTHER THINGS ENTERING AT NIGHT, MUCH SMALLER, BUT NOT RATS BC NO RIVER OR OTHER WATERSCOURCE NEARBY and in a very residential suburb areas at least 3/4 a mile from closest river with rats known to be in them, and those rats are known to Target chicken coops for food and bite, Also I don't have any restaurants or bars within three quarters of a mile.... So what am I missing here? Why are my chickens suddenly staying on alert guarding the sliding door (that I keep open for now since they are completely enclosed anyway until it gets too cold) What is it making them uncomfortable? And what could it be possibly cracking their eggs open but only one egg, not the cluch
Totally unscientific bro, let them overeat is not the best possible way ! I don't agree on 24*7 availability of food. We can use a little bigger feeder to reduce struggle for feed when feeding them timely.

Thanks for answering questions, and providing your experience here. It helps as I start raising chickens.
Hello from Kenya..thanks for sharing your experience in chicken farming..I'm raising a day old broiler chicks ..
Great presentation! You were not boring or monotone. Great information!
Love the scientific approach. Thx has helped plenty as I now also can go research on these things I did not even know to consider.
Always a ton of good info on this channel - glad you're back producing vids again John!
Hey John, I'm wondering what the results from your feed experiment were. Does fermenting or using brewer's grain help?
So in the summer when do you feed to avoid the chickens there metabolic peak being in the heat of the day? I have a covered area - pasture area with trees on 3 sides would that help with the over heating. Any impact on their growth?
I have 6 chickens. How many cups of pellets and grains should I throw into their coop/pen a day? Thanks!

Nice information. I’ve question about how to start chicken farming.
Please keep the good information coming 👂🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Look forward to your experiment with the feed.
Thank you for the info on peak metabolic heat!!
Learning a lot from you, keep doing what your doing
I think week old chicks need to tone their muscles by a weekly adjusted longer distance between water and store bought free choice feed 24/7.
What do you feed them and where do you get it from
I always learn so much from u ...thanks
Learning so much from you and your experience. 😊 thank you so much
found very helpful. thanks mate!
Glad I could help!
Love the research approach. Until you have data, you just have an opinion.
super video brother
Yo @John Suscovich , inquiring minds would like to know if you did the grain experiment from this video and what the results were?

Amazing 👍💯😍👍💯😍
Just such a laugh at “interrogation style”!

Good info Chicken Man!
Where do you get your feed tested?
How many food kilos for over 80 chicks
Very HELPFUL 👍

A chicken.
If they are truly “Trumps” , they are probably waiting to get arrested.
I’ve already shared to my mail just a couple minutes in…🤔
Ok. That was a great deal of information on raising chickens. Now...How Much Do You Feed Chickens?
Do you have a farming company?
Hi John, Did you ever conduct the feed experiments and if so, did you ever publish your findings?
nice
