The Imam packed up and smoked the Mu'atizzaliyya. But did their disappearance from the Ummah put us behind the curve in terms of science and technology?
HOW! Does The Beginning of Guidance not make this list? Those others have a lot of brilliant whys, but, okay, now what do I DO? The Beginning of Guidance is THAT book. Indispensable, may Allah reward the Shaykh and all who love him.
@@Shiyam-eh3dj But Al Ghazali talks about another aspect of Truth. Which is Ihsan in which your intuitions become so powerful that you can directly experience Reality as it truly is. Revelation( Quran+ Hadith) become the map in your movement from Islam to iman to Ihsan. These are 3 states of consciousness that Quran talks about.
@@bluesky45299 Ihsan means excellence or perfection in worship and conduct. Islam has already been perfected by Allah through our beloved Messenger (peace be upon him), as stated in the Quran: “Today I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion.” (Quran 5:3). To seek more perfection beyond what has been revealed would imply a need for modifications or additions, which would contradict the fact that Islam is already complete and perfect. This would be an affront to the Almighty, as it suggests that Allah did not fully perfect the religion or teach Ihsan. Ihsan, however, does not imply adding to or modifying Islam, but rather striving for excellence in the personal practice of the already perfected religion. It is about deepening one’s awareness and sincerity in worship, knowing that Allah is always watching. This concept of Ihsan was already practiced by the Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him), who embodied the teachings of Islam with utmost sincerity and devotion. As a result, they became the best nation in the world, as described in the Quran: “You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah.” (Quran 3:110). The excellence of their practice cannot be compared to future followers, as they set the ultimate standard for embodying Ihsan. Hadith of Jibril (Sahih Muslim 8): “Jibril said: ‘Tell me about Ihsan.’ The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: ‘Ihsan is to worship Allah as if you see Him, for even though you do not see Him, He sees you.’”

Islamic history was changed by first three centuries. Then innovations came into the wahee of Allah
Imam Ghazali’s entire philosophy is built upon establishing the authority of Revelation as a first principal.
@@bluesky45299 Quran & sahih hadith (the wahee of Allah) is sufficient for us.
