Everyone always says they will utilize the post but I've been playing as a post scorer every single year since 2k18 and it's EXTREMELY rare that I run into another post scorer. And when I say rare I mean RARE
I try but unless you're backing down and cheesestepping it's rough. Even against ai. I'd like to think I'm a little better since watching these vids tho.
@ThatGuy-en2nn it's just a learning curve bro stick with it and practice it like you practice your current play style. I've always played in the post even before my career just like with my friends play now. This is my first year learning how to dribble though 😂
@@FonkedUpProductions Bruh like I know how to do a few different combos in the post as i like to play with old school centers, but most just lead to contestable shots that occasionally work against ai. Unless you're elite at it like Kevin and more importantly FAST enough to catch people off guard, they're contesting easy. Especially if they're aggressive jumpers. If you're a different position with some speed I guess it could be different but playing a pure slower center in the post is hell. Ion think it's a learn the curve thing. Just unless you've amazing at it, it's hard to use the post game in the middle of match without dropstep cheese.
@ThatGuy-en2nn how do you get amazing at it? By practicing. You just don't start by being amazing. I've been playing in the post as a center and having great success for years but I didn't start out successful I had to practice and get there. You can do it bro trust me. I believe in you
really glad you highlighted some of the intricacies this game has to offer out of the post bro its so rewarding to have multiple facets to attack defenses in competitive settings. learned all of this through ungodly amount of hours on 2kU w Kobe
Thank you bro , you really be informing me with the some of THE best information about moves and how to do them not only that how to shoot your shot with any player. Keep doing your thing 🫡
Wish I saw more post play online. If anybody is posting up, it's usually one of the bigs. My SG has a 72 Mid-Range and greens post shots consistently with no Post Fade Phenom at all. I think if you at least have that badge on Bronze or even if you have an 80+ without that badge, you're neglecting a very significant part of offense if you're not taking shots in the post 🔥
@SummrBrk - I use Jayson Tatum post fade and Kobe post hop jumper. I used those animations all of 2K23 with a 75 Middy so I'm used to them. Fastest post fade is Pro 2 if you care about speed
Push and pull is a good concept im excited to try. I have high strength builds and mostly push so incorporating some pulls are gonna make me a killerrr
I’m gone drop some old clip I’ve been working elite post moves since 2k20 but I love someone dropping these type of clips for the community to learn these type of moves
Kevin, my dude. I always enjoy watching your post tutorials. As a person who loves playing In the post, I'm definitely not as good as you in these clips because of the lack of understanding on how to trigger these animations. What is the best way that you practice all your moves? I mainly play my player, and I do not like the Gatorade Gym.
For Post Moves, my recommendation is to Create your MyCareer player into a MyLeague file. Then you can go into the practice gym in a scrimmage to be able practice at will!
Not really...they would probably be contested. I play post against an aggressive irl defender. It's actually easier to just cheese to the rim. Minimal movements to make him bite then go.
@@ThatGuy-en2nn it’s all about getting this down and mastering it man, I hear ya but this is way more respectable then cheesing everything. That’s basically what 2k has become, no real skill just exploits of glitchy moves. I can’t respect it. You have bigs that’ll stand around in park all day while a ball hog pg will dribble the entire clock out instead of mastering moves like this, sad for the game honestly.
If can answer how long does it usually take to learn all this and play as fluid as you I wannna Learn so bad this play style my player is for this but I just don’t have the combos packed what was a way you use to practice to get these moves and have confidence in games
A month.all you have to do is Learn to time the release. Then you’ll be confident with the moves because your confidence of making the shot anyway is high
Just initiate any of your post fades or post shimmies but let go of square immediately! I like to use these out of my post shots to get people to jump, then jump into them!

If you try do any post move in the rec and it doesn’t work then you don’t get the ball the rest of the game

I gotta learn bruh 😭 imma be killing them with sabonis

The thing is, no one has patience for post scorers online anymore. You get timeouts called on you now. It’s sad.
Soon as you do one spin TIMEOUT
If u a good big or post player you gone get it trust I play with randoms once u get a few post buckets they start passing
Another master class, much love Cruz🔥🔥🔥🔥
Let’s goooooooo!! Appreciate you bro!

@@DonDeLem appreciate it man, and no I usually can’t time the fastest releases.
7’2 big 92 mid 86 3ball & 92 standing dunk & post control
I’m 6’7 with 93 post control and 88 midrange, I find it hard to be consistent with fades ig I just need practice, I have 90 strength as well.
El maestro de la salsa!!! Bro, this is next level sauce and creativity. Incredible content for the community.
Push and pull is a good concept im excited to try. I have high strength builds and mostly push so incorporating some pulls are gonna make me a killerrr
Yessir!!! Get them worried about the push, that they stay committed to guarding the forward pressure, perfect opportunity to counter with pull moves!
Yo that 5:05 clip had me jumping out the chair😅 that was smooth😮💨
My SG has a 92 post control and i like spin around my opponents a lot who usually don't have any interior.
This is the way!!!

When you initiate the aggressive back down Kevin do you have to keep holding R2 or does it just continue once after initiating
4:30 not able to do it. Do I need to have any badge or animation?
Do these work pretty good in park? Or does it get defended easily?
It will work as long as you have teammates willing to space the floor for you!
That arrow helps me to understand your moves on your controller thankyou!
What badges u need for post shots like that ?

@KevinCruz016 why do you think so little people play this way?
How do you lift ball above your head in post, triple threat position? I see you do it all the time in these clips
That Hakeem ankle breaker is lit 🔥
Teach coach 💪🏽💪🏽
Do you have a dribble tutorial with kobe?
If a lot of rec bigs had this in their bag the would score a lot more points then only being fed off open cuts spot up and Oboards

As a post fader I hate post hookrz
🎉
How do I post fake like Kobe? He would commonly spam fake shots to try and draw a foul in the mid range.
