The late great Steve 'The Riffmaster' Clark fell i love with Customs in the 'Pyro era'. He had Gibson mod out all his Gibsons. But he had x4 very special Customs for the 88/89 In The Round In Your Face Hysteria' tour. He had triple PAF pick ups, they were all modded with a Kahler termolo, and he has x2 black ones and x2 magnificent creme ones, the best guitar I've seen his creme Custom Kahler Custom. They did it all for him as he and Collen were not 'guitar tech savvy'. A beautiful guitar.

Compared to my '89 custom it seems to be lacking behind. But I think it has its own unique tone, maybe the way the mid pick up is out of phase. They're great guitars but I'd be lying if I said I'm not tempted to upgrade the pups.

Didn't realise it was so old at the time. It's the only one I wish I'd still got,... And I think my old guitar is actually the custom the Gibson Steve Clark tribute guitar is based on as it went from me to him. Sounds great! Did you get new tubes in your amp? Usually you just hear lower volume, less dynamics, and a more dull sound fyi. You deserve to document this guitar and jam out on it. Big ups for givin it the proper attention and care it deserves!

No, I haven't had my amps looked at yet. Sometimes I just stumble into better settings than others haha
