What Acarya says around 35 min… “we don’t need to add anything new to get something new… it’s the mixing of already existing materials that create new.” This is fascinating and directly applies to how Raga musicians play music. They don’t need to add new notes or swaras. They just mix them up in new ways to form infinite varieties! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️🔥
This is an older video but it goes to the core of acharyaji's rationale. Some years ago, even before this video was released I came upon Danniel Dennet's work in the cognitive sciences and found them very compelling. After having discovered Abhinava Gupta and his treatment of it I now understand Dennett's work even better than before. Acharyaji's hints of the use of Dennett's idea of "intentional stance" in parts of this presentation is very helpful. It's nice to see the comparison between the purely physicalist approach and that of a more spiritual one.
The idea of constant renewal is so beautiful. Listen around 30 minutes for this part. Namaste 🙏🏾. Being present means doing something new and observing newness at all times. Thank you so much for your patient teachings. I am so grateful. 🔥
