When the lawyers made fun of the witness for being in a car and then driving, they really showed us how tone deaf and completely unaware they are, of what it's like to be a regular normal worker. He probably had to use his unpaid lunch break to make this video. His time is just a valuable as any lawyers time, regardless of the fact that he probably makes minimum wage. Lawyers trying to belittle people like this, is one reason many people hate lawyers. Grow some empathy and understanding for real life people who make hourly wages, and perhaps you will be less hated.

I have a feeling AH “friends” and sister will lie for her. They all appear to have no morals. AH sister and husband lived rent free in one penthouse and her friend lived in another rent free. The body guard said he felt like all of them were taking advantage of Johnnys kindness.

I really appreciate what Johny is doing for all men out there bringing to the daylight the problem of man being abused in a relationship and then being ashamed to speak up about it and finally taking the blame for the abuse as a result of partner’s manipulation ! The thing that sways heavily for me, is not a single ex of Johnny's came forward with similar stories. That speaks volumes. I think the psychologists testimony was very damaging to Ms. Heard, and the doorman was just hilarious.

Absolutely. That's what I told my sister. Johnny was with his French woman (what's her name? Veronica?) For 15 years, and she refused to say Johnny ever behaved abusively towards her. That's a long relationship. If he had been a jerk for that long, I have to assume she would have said so.

Truth, every other "powerful man" in Hollywood that has been accused of things, people have come out of the woodworks to add their voice to the accusation, especially ex's.
But with Johnny, not only did that not happen, some actively stepped forward defending him. This speaks volumes especially with there being the potential for backlash against them.
I'm glad you addressed the breaking the Restraining Order. That jumped right out to me. Her coniving, manipulating bat 💩 crazy scheming is outrageous.

I think JD was insane to actually meet her. He knew at that point how manipulative and willing to lie she was.
However, that's also the meeting that gave us the "see who the world believes" audio tape (IIRC) so it worked out for him.
I was jury foreman in a tobacco case. The plaintiff's attorney spent 8 of our 12 days on one redundant and irrelevant expert witness, and he screamed and yelled indignantly in jurors faces, especially mine. He was obnoxious. His client lost because his case was frivolous but we enjoyed giving our verdict against him. The attorneys wanted to meet with jurors after the verdict to learn why we ruled as we did. Plaintiff's attorney was so obnoxious none of the jurors wanted to be in a room with him so we all bounced! I think Elaine is just like that crappy plaintiff's attorney in our case. There is no need to be rude and snarky when fact-finding from witnesses. Jurors hate it.
Do you think if his client had a strong case his lawyer's behaviour may still have lost him the case?
@@marcwilliams9824 No. We ruled based on the facts of the case. He made each day truly horrible for us. We felt strongly that his behavior disrespected us when we were performing our public duty. He thought his fervent nastiness would distract us from his weak case. It didn't work.

It tells me this is all a game to them. The fake punch with Whitney is dastardly.
I would bet my life her lawyer told her to file for the restraining order (when she filed for the divorce) so she could get more money. That's why for the 1st week after May 21st she had no bruises. Then on that day suddenly has them. Johnny was 4000 miles away at that time. She's a LIAR..period.
One of Johnny's witnesses was dismissed because she admitted to seeing clips of the trial. What about Amber's witnesses like her sister or girlfriend, I'm sure they have followed the trial all along.
Oh, if they're willing to stage such an awful thing, that shows they have feel they're above the law! Disgusting.
Shady people aren’t as trusting. They would have to get caught. Heards people showed the judge a post about the last trial and cut off the date so it looked like it was recent. The judge then simply asked that witness if she followed the trial on TV (without mentioning the post) and the witness was (unfortunately) honest. No one on her side would ever be so honest.
AH had her sister, along with husband, and friend live rent free in his penthouses. Moochers with low morales
No, it turns out the posts she made about the trial were at least a year old. Amber's team provided an Instagram post to the judge, judge didn't check the date - it was not from this trial.
Her girlfriend got booted. I really suspect this was part of a bigger plan. That plan includes the fliers that are being put on cars where the jury parks. I believe they are doing these things so in the event Mr. Depp wins this suit, they can then leak the potential allegations of jury tampering, ultimately getting it thrown out. The screen shots the defense used to get Mr. Depp's witness dismissed were from the 2020 trial and they conveniently left out the date on those screen shots. When Mr. Depp's team challenged Eve Barlow and her behavior, they told the judge about the fact the dates were not from this trial.

Nobody is paying attention to all Johnnys facial remarks like the jury and I am so happy! To see him happy and the parts that they need to see him overcome is so amazing!
I find Elaine extremely off-putting, it's hard to listen to her repetitive questions. I would be surprised if half of the jury didn't mentally check out .
It almost feels like when I hear amber on those audios and how uggghhhh... it feels when she talks and talks in that argumentative tone, and the amica lawyer is the same way. Listening to her feels literally annoying. And she is so mean and bitter.
I wholeheartedly agree! She has such an (in my opinion) intimidating and aggressive way of communicating. I know I am probably biased, because I am 100% on Johnny's side, but it seems to me, that it should be possible for her to communicate with a witness in a kinder way, even though I realize that it's her job to make the testimony come out in favor of her cliant.
And yes, her incessant repetitious questioning drives me up the wall!!!!! 😵

I don’t find her intimidating no matter how hard she tries to be. She just seems stupid and haughty and she seems completely unfamiliar with DV and/mental disorders. What kind of clients does she usually serve? Politicians suing each other? What other ilk of human being would put up with someone like her!

I don't think Elaine scored any points getting the police to admit that they couldn't swear Johnny didn't hit AH. The jury knows the police can't swear to something that they didn't observe.

Exactly. Like the video showing him with the cabinets- both audio and video. But only audio when she's saying "get off me" when he is saying I'm leaving and you can hear him leaving. She's such a twit. I'm glad they are no longer together. Red flags with her for long time. And although I'm no psyvhologist- I felt as though she has bpd and histrionic personality disorder. Psychology was my minor in College but have worked for Psychiatric facilities where I have seen these diagnoses. She is incapable of having a healthy relationship period.
Made up my mind… I believe Johnny. He seems open, honest. He described domestic abuse and coercive control really well, which hard to do in such depth and with all the complexities if you’ve not been through it. His witnesses all seemed genuine and like they were speaking from the heart when they described how much of a decent guy Johnny is.

I've made up my mind. However as a jurior I would have to go by the law not my gut. Johnny should win everything. Amber has been a proven liar.
You are great. Lawyer story : I was married to a male Amber. His lawyer when we were divorcing called me and asked me to talk to him because he wouldn’t listen to her and I said why do you think we are divorcing.
I imagined how dramatic it could be for Depp's team to call on a makeup artist to paint on bruises, like Amber's pics, in under a minute on the stand.
Her friends were most likely worried the cops might find their drugs.

AH's lawyers keep driving home that AH is an expert at applying makeup if I were JD's lawyer I would make a statement that it's safe to say that she could most definitely use her makeup skills to make the so called marks on her face to make her look injured what do you think?
I thought the same. She probably also has a makeup artist as well.
I think might be better off leaving that implied. They have already shown that later she had no bruise and that the following days there was no bruise and that people who saw her did not notice any bruise. Those are facts.
They can't prove she faked it with makeup and I think that to openly accuse her could make them look bad and shift jury sympathy to Heard. That's the mistake her own lawyers are making - hounding witnesses with stuff that can't be proven and they look petty and grasping as a result.
But we'll see when they come to cross examine her. They may be able to do it without making a big deal of it - just a fact, she could have
Following the live trial during the last 10 days, I truly believe AH set up all this for financial gain and slander. It is sad that someone would go to such an extent of harming another simply because they are unaware of their unresolved traumas. I do hope they see the importance of healing and take action towards it. I don't condone AH's actions to say the least. I want JD to recover his reputation, heal, and move forward.
I've made up my mind, while changing my mind. I believe JD with everything thing in me. Has nothing to do with how I feel about either one. I just feel Amber is not only lying, she isn't a very nice person. Just from what has come out so far.
Just wondering… “was Amber wearing any makeup? Was she wearing any foundation? What about lip stick… blah blah…really Elaine… does the doorman do AH makeup?
"What color was the foundation? What brand name was she wearing? You did not ask her if she was wearing makeup? Isn't it true that you never looked for makeup? So if you can't tell what makeup she was wearing, then how do you know there weren't bruises?" Elaine was so unlikable during these depositions. It was great when he pointed out that makeup could not hide swelling, which he saw none of.

I never paid much attention to them except I did think she was the typical kind of blond who attached herself to fame. I thought he was weird. But after watching him and seeing interviews etc he is an artistic genius. Tragic and tormented but a beautiful genius. She’s a piece of work!

Watching the young officer, it appeared AH lawyer threatened him at the end. In my opinion that was infuriating, I wonder how the jury felt. That just made them look really desperate and grasping. I felt bad for that Officer I thought AH lawyer was mean for no purpose.

The job of the defense is to push and prod to render the witness's testimonial useless. If it's the case that the defense lawyer comes off as desperate .. then it's detrimental to the defense team. I think the officer did well in standing his ground and pushing back whenever he could.

Since defamation case requires that she lied about abuse in op Ed which caused him monetary loss (which it obviously did)- now that we have heard that there was mutual verbal/emotional abuse - does that hurt Johnny's case? Anyone who had to deal with Amber should be given an award imho. I want him to win so that this type of stuff stops. He has suffered great loss and whole family been put through too much. #teamjohnny

Not a lawyer, but my understanding is that JD has to prove she lied about being abused. Doesn’t matter if she was or not.might make it more justifiable, but but if he hit her, she didn’t lie about being abused. I also hope he wins, and it troubles me that he lost the case in England.

I don't typically follow celebrity stuff. But as a survivor of DV myself - this one grabbed my attention. I'm so glad he is away from that toxic "woman"
It's not mutual, that was just the doctors own opinion. Amber Heard abused Johnny Depp, there is no evidence that Johnny abused Amber. The photos she produced looks fake compared to Johnny's evidence.
Go Team Johnny! On the makeup issue Heard can probably simulate red cheeks and a bruise with makeup. I'd put money on "the bruising" is Heards own make up artistry. She's a capable sociopath.

Because you will never, in any universe get Disney to admit they fired anyone, let alone based on unfounded accusations, just to save face or damage control. It's not like they will have paperwork somewhere stating this and even if any proof existed, it would have been vanished before you can say "subpoena". As the agent said "it was understood". Disney is not stupid to open themselves to litigation for wrongful termination so at best you'd get them to admit "We made the executive decision not to continue with the Pirates franchise and focus on the development of other projects instead, thanks, bye". Which really wouldn't help JD's case. And if you are JD, you don't want to piss off the Disney lawyers either. He can hire the best, but so can they, and they have more of them.
Jerry Bruckheimer won’t expose himself or Disney as having fired Johnny without proof of any wrongdoing. Remember we heard today that public figures avoid involvement in litigation. Perhaps a Disney rep will be subpoenaed, but maybe not.

with their contracts they could fire him for admitting to using illegal drugs under oath. there was no proof of it before. So even though they would probably not fire him now for DV, they would now fire him on the drugs
Barenaked Ladies lost a multi year contract for a tv series for the entire band because one band member was caught with cocaine one time. And I very much doubt they would admit to making a mistake. they'll just cite the morality clause in his contract

I think she did a terrible job. So many points . . . but the one that stands out the most is asking the condo desk guy Alejandro over and over and over and over the ridiculous make-up questions. I thought his head was gonna explode. . . . and I don't blame him one bit. She asked for his observation. That has NOTHING to do with whether AH hid any evidence of DV . . . or had her make-up artist friend apply fake evidence of DV. It was just HIS OBSERVATION.
Also he's a minimum wage kind of guy forced to be there (subpoena). Total disnepect of his time. And frankly the jury's. Also hated her threatening the cop.

I had no opinion in the beginning, but after watching Johnny, and being a victim of DV myself, I see things he says / does that cannot be "acted"
I TOTALLY AGREE, And any victim understands that. Like lying in ER, I am a retired ER nurse, and I can't tell you how many victims lie, you know they're lying. But the rule is the patient is the source. And I've treated BOTH men and women, both will lie, but men even more because they are so embarrassed.

Elaine has a consistent lack of respect for whomever is sitting in front of her. She's very thorough, in that regard.

Congratulations on your success with this channel. It's nice to see what a lawyer thinks because you are trained to focus on facts and details and not impressions like the general public. So it's a good way to get a real sense of what's going on in the trial and what really matters and doesn't when it comes to the judgement.
I hope there are more trials of public interest for you to work with in the future. You could even do commentary on past trials of interest/criminal trials and critical witness testimonies, pieces of evidence, etc.
The defense attorney asking the same question over and over is not a good tactic. It makes one sound desperate, and like they are badgering. That poor dude in the car looked like he wanted to pull his hair out or run away. I felt bad for him due to her poking at him so hard. She doesn’t seem to pick up on cues very well.

One question I do have is, “WHY, do Depps Attorney’s allow Heards Attorneys to continue asking the video guy that same damn questions over, and over, again about whether she was wearing make-up?” He answered “No.” But was continued to be asked the same questions, was she wearing this, was she wearing that, was she wearing blush, mascara, concealer - the dude answered the question over and over again - No, no, no!!!! That was so redundant. Argh!!!
They are letting her dig a hole by looking desperate to the jury. Plus objecting all the time makes you look like you don't want the answer coming out.
I think it’s good JD team isn’t jumping in, allows the jury to see AH team is trying to “make” the testimony work for AH team, if we are seeing this, the jury is seeing this.
Digging a hole yeah, the makeup theories are an excellent way to impeach later. Let them dig the hole deeper to reflect testimony and tear it down later.
To try and annoy him, make him lash out in anger and show that this person is in fact biased towards JD. Also... this man kept adding things to his statement as he simply kept on talking. Fishing for new things they can use etc.
You don't save your enemy who is caving her own grave by wasting their own time. All JD and co had to do is see the wreck in slow motion.

I just saw your show today, and when the attorney was asking questions that were yes or no, he would cut them off, but his questions were phrased to say did you ever hear or see, which could have been answered yes, but, .....He cut them short of getting the real truth..... I despise this routine, because, to me, that is not justice it is injustice by the lawyer. A judge should let them finish their sentence before assuming it was complete. I should have been a judge. Sometimes these judges look very lame!

Cool to listen to your perspective on the case as it's moved forward. It's hard not to conflate the court of public opinion with the potential actual court verdict at times
Why don’t they show video of AH, her sister and friends sitting by the pool laughing and admitting they got into a fight and her sister did it to her. They thought it was funny and they were laughing.

I'm sure he would've done more than one more movie with Disney. We don't know how many. Who can say if someone wouldn't have cast him in something else already and didn't because of Amber's accusations.

i've already made up my mind do to all of the evidence i've seen so far, she claimed to have been abused, when there is audio evidence of her clearly taunting him and calling him a baby for walking away. all of his evidence is of her admitting to hitting him and that she frustrated that he's walking away. All of his witnesses claim that they didn't see any evidence of abuse or him actually being physical towards her. it is clear to me she is Manipulative based on her own video evidence and it doesn't put it past me for her to lie for her own gain.

Regarding the TRO. Here in Australia my friend had a restraining order, she met with her ex for a cuppa to have a chat and by doing that she voided the order. So didn't AH void it by asking to meet with him? Or is it different in the US.
It is different in the US. If police officers were to respond at the time of the violation of the order the adverse party (Depp) can be arrested even if the applicant (heard) set up the meeting. Once served with the order Depp had responsibility to not contact Heard. He could have filed his own order. It wouldn’t be likely to have the protection order extended in district court because she showed she wasn’t in fear of him by arranging the meeting. A judge could perceive it that way, but Depp did violate that restraining order

I should have put this live chat. From my perspective and zone, Amber has done him in (and I have never seen this article they mention). And we have lost a lot of good JD movies, because of it. Displaying that she is largely at fault (instigate, lie ect.), I can see why he needs his reputation back. The more I learn about what has gone on, I hope he wins because I believe he they have put good information forward.

It's so obvious what they're doing when they ask the same questions about makeup... or "you can't say you know if there was abuse". To ME...all the defense did was point out their whole argument was "you didn't see it or you did see it and either way it's proof Depp is wrong"

I am a long time fan, not just of his work as an actor, which I think is awesome. It doesn't hurt that he's easy on the eyes either, of course 😅 But that alone would not have kept me devoted to him all these years! What I love most of all about him, is the humble, kind and decent person he seems to be. That and his love of children. His own and everyone else's. For this reason alone this grandmother will always be on his side ❤️
Now - about Amber. The first time I ever heard about her, was when Johnny filmed The Rum Diary with her. So I knew absolutely nothing about her back then. But for some reason, I never liked that Johnny got involved with her. Felt like she was a gold digger.
Having said all this, when she made her initial claim of domestic abuse, I was thrown for a loop for a while, shocked to my core thinking "Could I really have been so wrong about this man?" Also, if he actually had abused her the way she claimed, then she should absolutely be protected and receive justice. I was heartbroken and confused. I didn't want it to he true, but what if it was?
But with everything I have heard and seen and read since then, there is no longer any doubt in my mind, that she is a sociopath and a liar, and I hope johnny gets his life back.
