    Nice upgrade, one can never keep the fuel clean enough and the cat filter is a great way to go!

    Could I have a link or a list to everything you used in this? I’ve had a fuel leak and can’t figure it out so I’m just ready to ditch the stock system and go with a whole new system

    What do you do for the fuel return line?

    Hey man i have a 6.5 suburban. It runs fine but keeps getting air in the system and stutters bad around 2000 rpm. Where could it be catching air at? I bleed the air out every few days but it doesnt help long.

      Could be any of the numerous metal fuel lines on the truck. A rotted feed or supply line can cause air intrusion. This truck used to stutter intermittently, and it was because of the rotted return manifold on the engine.

    Hey, do you have any concerns for water in fuel? I really don’t know how much water gets in a system, I just know every truck I’ve serviced in my career has a separator? I like your clean setup that moves that unsightly one out.

      No real concern, and if it it becomes an issue, it’s easy enough to add another filter

      Here is my 2 cents. Current diesel fuel is terrible. They lowered the lubricity. These older engines can run a long time if taken care of. I am gonna run a fuel treatment that adds lubricity and removes water. Its also a winter anti gel. WIN WIN WIN. If you do the math you will be far ahead, when compared to a new truck with def and computers. If I can get 400k outta a diesel engine from proper maintenance, and I dont have to buy a Engineered to fail Def monster.. I win. NO way am I buying a 100k truck.

    How did you delete the wiring portion of the oem ffm. Will a check engine light come on or make the truck not start with the 2 plugs unplugged?

      Didn’t delete it. No check engine light.

    Is the vibration from engine going to effect the fuel, possibly cause problems?

    • @pacificdrumma
      @pacificdrumma  2 года назад

      No. The factory filter on many engines is mounted to the engine

    Its funny, just about 20 min ago finished up a very similar setup. Same style filter same filter head and similar location. Yours looks nice, well none.

    Im doing mine tomorrow. Whats the pressure you have in your flow? I will have a new lifter pump but they are only like 3-5 psi. Is yours upgraded turn of the key or stock like mine?

      Mine is a raptor 4g 100gph running off a relay with key on power. It’s set to about 10psi
