Onboard a delayed Ryanair flight from snowy Gothenburg back to London Stansted. Flight was delayed by just short of an hour due to the snow earlier in the day at Gothenburg. By this time of the evening the fog had really started to fall upon the airport and with the sub zero temperatures the aircraft was frosting up after only being on the ground for 25 minutes! So the de-icing vehicle was summoned to give us a good blast before pushback & engine start. First time I've ever been onboard while de-icing took place.
Not too much to see after take off because of the low cloud & freezing fog surrounding the airport.

De-ice is used to get rid of frost, snow or ice of the Aircraft

xboxgamer to get all the snow, ice, frost ect from the plane otherwise something would go very wrong mid flight
