Really enjoying it so far. Was worried given the early production woes but if they keep sticking this I can see why it got renewed for more seasons. Kudos to going the smart route of making it multiversal from the start to cut off complaints about 'non-canon' 'woke' and 'dei'. Not that it will stop the people who make the latter two their whole identity but it means I can sit back and enjoy whatever changes they decide to run with as long as it works for the story.
If Marvel is consistent with their infinity stone logic then Dr. Strange has to be from their universe because Loki established that the infinity stones only work in the universe they were created in.

I think Osborn sent Butane to a specific location to lure Parker from his Lab so he could get him on security footage, that's why Butane made sure everyone was out of the building and was mad that he had burned the wrong building down. Osborn must've given him the equipment to get a burning building on the news for Peter to see (meaning osborn new prior that he was spiderman). He will probably give other people weapons too to test Peter's skills.
The printing on doctor strange gloves isn't a reference to kraven. It's just a black dotted pattern used to represent the "Kirby crackle" effect that used to be drawn onto doctor strange gloves back in the day. It used to look like he had spotted gloves on some covers and panels.
So in this show we know there's an Iron Man, we know there's a Tony Stark, we know there's a Norman Osborne, but like the MCU, Osborne is the one who takes Peter under his wing. We don't know that Tony Stark is Iron Man in this universe. It could be Norman. It's just a secret identity. Maybe Tony never got blown off the road and went into a cave with a box of scraps. Maybe Tony is still just an arms dealer and got corrupted by Obadiah to keep making weapons for war, not for peace. I dunno. It'd be a cool little subversion.

My biggest problem with Spiderman cartoons is every villian and hero attends the same high school or are directly linked to Peter some way. Poor world building in my opinion, it's ok to not have every Spiderman villian or hero with him as a friend in school.

in an episode of Spiderman and his Amazing Friends, they go a costume dance party and you can see Wanda and Vision dancing, that same night Norman Osborn is on a helicopter during a lightning storm, we see that helicopter in the dr strange movie when the ancient one dies, and it crashes, and Norman is thrown to the ground and knocked unconcious, he was at a insane asylum, because he thought he was a monster, on the ground, his unconscious self starts transforming, his nose and ears and chin becomes pointy and his skin turns scaly and green, who do we know that has scaly green skin and can transform appearance and has pointy ears and a chin and nose? cough captain marvel movie, cough, in the 1967 Fantastic Four cartoon, they battle the Skrulls, and Reed hypnotizes one to transform into a cow and they leave him on an island as a cow, i think Norman is that cow, and he transformed into human shape and got into society and made himself into a rich man, and he forgot he was a skrull, and each time he transformed, he thought he was turning into a monster, hence him going to an insane asylum, that is why in no way home movie, his mask said we have worlds to conquer, he was talking about his inner self remembering he was on a mission to conquer earth for the Skrulls.

i think they designed norman after gian carlo espsito because they thought he would either play charles xavier or norman osbourne in the mcu, instead they got him to play some serpent society guy
I genuinely dislike everything about this show aside from the animation itself. Had to turn it off after 10 min. The origin changes are redundant and so bad man. Ben dies seemingly of natural causes off screen completely unrelated to the origin way before Peter gets powers. Undercutting his mission. The Spider comes out of a damn Dr. Strange portal on Peter’s first day at midtown. Hacky. I understand why and what they’re doing btw. Just think it’s horrendous. What a waste. I’m embarrassed for Marvel Studios. I’m sure the drones and bots will sing its praises but we all know what the ratings are going to reflect and why. I’m also completely over the aw shucks soft take on the character. It’s getting over done now. Terrible. Let’s stop pretending this content is for mainly kids in 2025. Half the panel is 40 for god sakes.
