Good luck and be blessed. Panama is beautiful
Having an issue with trying to get my dog into Panama. All US carries are not allowing dogs in cargo. Service has been suspended due to COVID. Trying to see if I can get on with COPA but it will be a push as conflicting information with a very difficult time getting a hold of airline. I was on hold for 2 hrs yesterday and then finally got disconnected as the hold extended to their closing time. Then on phone for 2 hrs this morning. Very disheartened. If my dog cannot come then I have to find a plan B which I really don't have at the moment, my house is sold closing end of month so just trusting in King Jesus his will be done!
@@thereseramey7743 I'll keep you in my prayers.
Panama 🇵🇦 is a great country which I visited back in 2016. I look to visit again later this year & hopefully move in 2022.
Lived in Panama in the 80s, retiring in 6 months and planning on visiting with the intent of retiring in Feb or March.
Panama has changed a lot. You will love living in Panama.. again!
My wife and I are super excited to come to Panama!! Thank you so much for these very informative videos! They are making our decisions to move very easy! We plan on coming down this October and hope to join a tour.
Our pleasure! We look forward to showing you how amazing life is in Panama!
Thank you for all the great information. We are planning to visit Panama next year and are excited to see Bouqete etc.
your information has answered many questions and has helped so much. I am sure there's questions we haven't even thought about. Also there are so many videos from those who have moved there , so its good to know that we should connect with those who have the right info. Thank you Mariana !

Thank you for posting. I liked the practical information about budgeting, healthcare and the climate- great editing with interesting footage. Thank you, I am getting closer to a decision.💕
Glad you enjoyed it!
As a retired Newspaper Columnist I have researched the world looking for an ideal retirement location. I may have excluded Panama too early in this quest. I think it would be a good idea to take a harder look and arrive at a more definitive conclusion. Thank you for posting this well-written, well-produced, and very well presented video.
Thanks for watching the video. You should definitely come check out Panama. You'll be AMAZED!
As long as things stay favorable, my wife and I plan on checking in to retirement there in 10 yrs.
Love your videos Maryanna🌹
Look forward to taking a tour.
All great reasons. For me, the cost of living, natural beauty, and weather are the deciding factors. Beach and mountains and jungle? Perfect.
Thank you for this video, I am looking to move to Panama in the next 5 to 6 months.
My wife is from Boquete in the highlands of Panama. We try to visit Boquete yearly to see relatives and we always talk about moving there. My wife’s family has a coffee farm and it’s nice to experience the harvesting and taking the coffee beans to market, where they will be sun dried, tumbled and roasted ready for bagging and marketing.
thank you sis you were extremely helpful in giving an abundance of information helpful in my decision of where to retire. Panama is one of my top 3! Thank you so much!
Glad it was helpful!
I will be moving between several towns for three months
Enjoy your visit to Panama!
Retirement in 4 years looking to take a trip
There this summer if pandemic let's up great vid.thank you
Have visited Panama four winters. Wonderful place.
It really is!
Enjoyed your coverage of Panama, I'm wanting to relocate there from the USA sometime in December, just trying to figure out just where.
Cost is the main factor, timing as to when to start the procedure.
Want to immerse myself into the culture and language, learning Spanish will be my top priority once I figure out how much my costs will be, and just where I'll live.
It depends on where you live and how you live. Some people live very well in Panama on $1200 a month, including rent. Others prefer a more lavish lifestyle and spend $5000+ per month.
Hi Marianna, I've been convinced to move to Panama because of the pensoniado visa available. Also I'm a lover of coffee and I'VE read that Boquete in addition to a ideal climate has one of the best coffees worldwide. So I booked an hotel in Boquete for early November for one week. I suppose it is enough to find a place to stay permanently. So I'll be in Panama Boquete in a few months. I can't wait. HUGUE from Brussels Belgium
Hugue, you will be amazed when you see how beautiful Boquete is... and you will love the coffee too
❤ Your video convinced me that Panama is my number one consideration for relocating. I have not heard any mention of it central location for world travel. Is that a perk?
Panama being a central location for world travel is definitely a perk. And, if you get a Pensionado Visa, you get 25% off airfare to anywhere in the world!!!
Thanks for the info, we are so excited about living in Panama!
You will LOVE living in Panama!
I can't wait to move there. I'm getting close to retirement and still not that old so want to enjoy this beauty country. No snow and the wet cold weather we have here in Eastern Canada will not be missed.
Very helpful video. Well done!
Glad you enjoyed it!
HOLA MUCHAS GRACIAS POR ESTE EXCELENTE VIDEO DE PANAMA. MUY BELLO PAIS Y SOBRE TODO LOS PANAMEÑOS SON MUY CALIDOS PRIMERA VEZ QUE MIRO Y YA ME INSCRIBI PARA RECIBIR NOTIFICACIONES HASTA PRONTO.
Gracias!
I'm retiring and my wife's from Colombia. We got married in Costa Rica and loved it there.
Now we're trying too compare all three places to retire in, Panama, Costa Rica or Colombia. I'm wondering if you ever encounter others comparing these three and what conclusions they came to.
Thank you
It's a personal choice. I checked out all three and obviously picked Panama because in my opinion IT IS THE BEST.
Great video I am thinking about visiting in August how much rain can I expect I will be moving allover the place panama city boca del Toro vocan bogete.
There is not much rain in August. You might consider doing a Private Tour in each of those areas to learn as much as you can. panamarelocationtours.com/private-tours
I am coming soon.
Very positive, thank you
You are so welcome
I would have mentioned the monetary system uses the U.S. dollar .
not sure if that is a good reason or bad reason.
Reason #543 - I have lived in Panama for 9 years. I'm in San Antonio, Texas today and just called for an Uber to go 6 minutes away - cost $38.00. I can get an Uber to take me from Panama City to the International airport (45 minute drive) for $13.
Thanks for the video !
Sure thing! Thanks for watching!
I have one complaint about your expense chart....... While heathcare is cheaper here, Medication is Very expensive here. That was one thing I felt I was mislead on, by the relocation tour videos.
Many medications are a LOT cheaper but some are certainly more expensive. This has a list of 50 most common medications and what they cost in the US vs what they cost in Panama. panamarelocationtours.com/drugs Almost all of them are less expensive. The solution for many is to switch to a healthier lifestyle/diet so you can get off medications and eliminate the expense of medications.
Great information. What about pre-existing conditions on medical insurance? Things like diabetes, fibromyalgia, etc. Thanks!
Panama insurance companies will not insure pre-existing conditions initially. But they may cover then after 2 years IF you don't have any complications.
Thanks you so much for this video. I am just starting to learn about Moving to Panama. I started looking into it many years ago, then my husbands declining health and death put a halt to it. I am still so enthusiastic about it! I am now 69 and wonder if it would still be a good idea? Are there some single older women who have videos? I would love to hear/see them.
Check out some of our other videos. There are plenty of single women (and men) of all ages who have moved to Panama.
Question on health insurance: My wife is 58 and I am 59 and both of us retired early and have BlueCross BlueShield as our federal health insurance coverage. Would the BC/BS be accepted in Panama so we do not have to buy extra insurance? Thank you
As a former employee I will tell you no. Take a look at your evidence of coverage for the info
You can get health insurance for less than $100 per month.
I would like to see information about Spanish language schools
Thank you for your information. I was worried about too many expats. It would be nice to live in a different culture and experience the true Panama.
I totally agree!
Lovs the informative videos thank you
Thanks for watching!
We would love to learn more about work or business requirements for non-citizens since we will not be near retirement age.
Here's an article about getting a job in Panama panamarelocationtours.com/getting-a-job-in-panama
Hi, is there any natural gas piped to homes,( I'm thinking of electrical generators for back up or would you have a large propane tank that a truck comes and fills) are there sewers or septic tank? For a more rural area not too far out of a smaller city of town how much would land prices be? would you be building a home (hacienda ) Were could you grow Teck and Tabaco? Would one drill a well?
@Panama Relocation Tour Excellent information thank you.☀️ Also can a person transfer there monthly Social Security benefits money from the United States to Panama?
Yes, your Socisl Security can be direct deposited into your Panama bank account.
@@PanamaRelocationTours That is awesome thank you.🌞💯
What about preexisting medical conditions and insurance?
Most insurance companies will not insure preexisting conditions the first year or two but will cover then after that at 50%
@@PanamaRelocationTours Thank you for your timely reply. I was surprised when the gentleman on this video said that he kept his Medicare insurance. I was pretty sure that you could not use Medicare. Couple of questions...
On the insurance available in Panama are preexistent conditions excluded?
Do you still have to pay for Medicare event if you are not covered by it?
Many thanks!
Nick
You had me at COL 😘 🥰 💗

Panama is certainly a beautiful country!! Can anyone reply on how much of a concern crime is for an American? We have crime here as well but the less the better 🙂. Thank you
It depends on where you live. There is more crime in the Colon area, some parts of Panama City and Puerto Armuelles. But the rest of Panama does not have much crime.
Hi Mariana,

If we are not retired yet (2 years to go) can we still come Spend 180 days, leave the country for like a month and come back for another 180 days?
yes, you can do that.
Surprising to hear cost of living for a single person in Boquete. Had always heard it was very, very expensive in Boquete because of so many expats moving there.
Would like to know about other places in Panama, OTHER THAN Panama City, Boquete, Coronado. They seem to be most popular and most expensive. Are there other highland towns with more temperate weather that are affordable and have some expat presence? Beach towns NOT overrun with expats resorts? Looking for a milder climate or breezy beach climate with some expats and local culture, with good amenities that is less expensive than living in the US. Maybe I'm asking too much....?
check out some of our other videos for all those details.
Thanks for your imformation, I wrote to you before ... ill will like to teach spanish... also wuold you tell as about implants and prices...looking formard to meet you this year 2121. abrazo gigante.
I want so bad to come visit. Right now I can't as my mom is in very bad health, and taking care of her, with the help of my sister makes it impossible. But one day. One day.
Panama will be waiting for you! And we'll keep sharing videos so you can see what life is like in Panama.
Do you sell in Veraguas, perhaps the Cambutal area.
We do not sell real estate in Panama
@@PanamaRelocationTours Do you do tours in the Cambutal area then?
It sounds nice.
Thanks for the video very informal... It looks like alot of the expats are the older generation... What is a good place in panama for expats in the 35-50 year old crowd with temps 70- 80 degrees weather?
Volcan, Boquete, El Valle.
Thank you...
@@PanamaRelocationTours El Valle near Volcan or Anton? Any expats there?
Can we relocate whilst the pandemic is out there? I really wanna move there. I live in Sydney. Australia
I am with you on that. I have been doing some digging into that. From what I've read, that is not yet an option. My wife and i have been trying to get there but COVID put a stop to it. I've been watching ever since. You can watch your embassy's website to see if anything changes.
Yes! People are moving to Panama every day. You need a negative covid test that is not more than 48 hours old to get in to Panama. To live in Panama you will need to get a residency Visa. Send email for mote details info@PanamaRelocationTours.com

SO IF YOU'RE NOT INTO CRAFTS,BIRD WATCHING, SENIOR GATHERINGS THEN WHAT CAN I DO?
cooking classes, golf, art classes, library, hiking, horse back riding, surfing, fishing, white water rafting, mountain climbing, the list goes on and on.
@@PanamaRelocationTours Also, concerts (of practically any genre of music), dance classes, night clubs, hiking, mudding, dances, biking, going to the beach, restaurant and/or bar hopping, boating, parasailing, hopping on an inexpensive bus to see where it might take you, going to a local park and commingle with the locals, check out local chess or checker tournaments (these can get pretty intense lol), fishing, island-hopping, walk the cause way, have a beautiful picnic, join a club, do volunteer work in an area of your predilection, see the old ruins, check out the skyline, take a peek at the canal, go to San Blas and buy some molas directly from those who make them, taste some of our local favourite foods and drinks and sweets, explore the local fruits and vegetables, visit some of the world's best local coffee connoisseurs or breweries as a taster (bring your thirst and appetite), etc. etc. etc...
Very well done, pretty lady!
Thank you so much 😀
Im considering leaving where Im from, but it rains alot here in Vancouver, Canada. its always overcast and grey and it makes me depressed. I was thinking Panama would be great as I love the humidity but Im starting to see that it rains ALOT and its over cast much of the year. Is this true? Vancouver rains constantly for long periods at a time, sometimes weeks and weeks with no sun. Is Panama like 1 hour a day and its clear like other tropical places Ive been to or will it be similar to where Im coming from?
In Panama the majority of the day is sunshine and blue skies. If it rains, it is usually in the last afternoon or evening.
@@PanamaRelocationTours thanks. Is this even on the wet season ? Is this depending on area ? I'm thinking Panama City
Is there alot of jobs available in Panama?
not really. Unemployment is high. Companies have to hire Panamanian first. See details about getting a job panamarelocationtours.com/getting-a-job-in-panama
@@PanamaRelocationTours Thank you. So the easiest would really be to open your own company in Panama to get there. But also not sure if that would work if unemployment is high. That means overall job is scarce for anyone then.
Great video. I just cane from my vacation from Panama yesterday. Question would you have any websites for buying houses in the different provinces?
Also how can I can land a government job in Panama coming from the US
it is very unlikely that you can get a government job in Panama.

How is the police enforcing various COVID-related restrictions? Are they aggressive?
Policed enforce the covid rules. Some people get a fine.
Panama City and Panama West (Oeste) have the highest number of Covid cases. For that reason they have stricter curfews and weekend quarantines than the rest of Panama. In Chiriqui Province, where I live, we only have a curfew from 9pm to 4am.
@@PanamaRelocationTours thanks, def not going there then
How's the COVID situation? Are tests required upon arrival? Will vaccines be mandatory, or part of the residency process? Are masks required to be worn everywhere?
A negative Covid test is required to come to Panama. Must be PCR or antigen not older than 48 hours. Masks are required in public. vaccines are available but not mandatory.
@@PanamaRelocationTours Chy-Nah virus test will be required to get back into US also.
You can get the test at the airport. $50.00 . I just arrived Saturday.
@@crazyworld2570 How about going from Panama to US, do they have the rapid test to come back to the US at the airport for $50 also?
@@coocoocachooglinThe testing site Is near gate 120. Once you go through the Tsa search area, you're able to enter the gates. You would have to get there early enough before your flight to get tested. It took me about 20 minutes to wait for my results. I'm not gonna chance it and wait until the day I leave. I'll find a testing clinic here in town two days before I leave.
SOUNDS VERY EXPENSIVE ON THE FORUMS AND FB PAGES
What do the numbers say ? Have you done the work to confirm these forms and pages
it depends on where you live. If you do NOT live in Panama City or Coronado, it is very affordable in Panama. Check out some of our other videos.
So how is 1200 a month cheaper than us?
depends on where you live in the US. You cannot live in $1200 a month, including rent, in most places in the US
I think that there should be different renting amounts with $1,500 a month I can't imagine leaving 300 for the unexpected. The idea is to keep savings and retiring money for later in life. I would like to relocate but not wanting to pay that much for rent. Overall love your channel. And have a high respect for what you guys do. Let's see how things are there after retire.
depends on where you live. I live in CA, and rent along in a decent neighborhood is more than $1200, my son pays $1500 near LA, and my house a 3 bd with nothing special is worth a million bucks.
I don't know where you live but here in Georgia(south east) I send 2,500.00 a month, and that isn't including eating out and traveling.
My brother moved ands loves it there. He could not afford to live in the USA, which is basically imploding anyway as social unrest escalates and very bed political decisions eventually ruin the country.
This is a country of immigrants!! Hint-hint, people that wants to move here after the 20th of January
Rjght on! Exactly why I'm looking.
